The Impact of the National Strategy for Tourism on Economic Development in Jordan
There is a thin line between tourism development and economic development in Jordan. This is because of the weight that tourism has on economic development. Tourism revenues contribute greatly to the country’s GDP allowing the economy to grow and develop at a faster rate. The past has been characterized by slight drop in tourism activities and revenues as realized in the year 2013 due to the region’s instability. However, Jordan’s leadership has come up with key measures to boost tourism through developing a unique national tourism strategy that has a positive impact on the country’s economic development. This study will discuss about the impact of the national tourism strategy on economic development in Jordan. Through exploring the key components of Jordan’s national tourism strategy, the study will look into the impacts that these strategies have on the Jordan’s economic development. In essence, this study will be significant in explaining the ways by which the implementation of the country’s national tourism strategy has a positive impact on economic development of the local economy. Keywords: Economic development, National tourism strategy, Tourism development, Tourism destinations, National GDP
Investigation of C++ Constructor Fail Features
In C++, a constructor is a special function that must be invoked when an object is created. Its objective is to initialize a new object to a valid state before any processing occurs using the object. Constructors appear to have some poorly designed features, due to many reasons such as the condition, which requires that the class constructor’s name must be the same as the class name. These features are explored so that some cautions can be taken when building any C++ compiler. In addition any future modification to the C++ language or the design of any new object-oriented language can avoid these features. The handlers for some of these features are suggested
Oversight on the Constitutionality of Laws: A Case Study of the Jordanian Constitutional Court
This study aims to examine the oversight on the constitutionality of laws in Jordan in the light of the relevant constitutional provisions. The doctrinal approach is used in this study, where the primary data were collected through the provisions of the Jordanian Constitution and laws as well as the ruling of the Jordanian constitutional court. The study addresses the importance of the oversight on the constitutionality of laws, the provisions of the Jordanian Constitution relating to the Constitutional Court, and then the decisions and rulings of the constitutional court. The study concluded that the legal and constitutional provisions relating to the Jordanian Constitutional Court, , together with the Court’s commitment to formal procedures have negatively affected the Court’s role in monitoring the constitutionality of laws and its presumed role in protecting the rights and freedom of Jordanians. Multi-modal palm-print and hand-vein biometric recognition at sensor level fusion
When it is important to authenticate a person based on his or her biometric qualities, most systems use a single modality (e.g. fingerprint or palm print) for further analysis at higher levels. Rather than using higher levels, this research recommends using two biometric features at the sensor level. The Log-Gabor filter is used to extract features and, as a result, recognize the pattern, because the data acquired from images is sampled at various spacing. Using the two fused modalities, the suggested system attained greater accuracy. Principal component analysis (PCA) was performed to reduce the dimensionality of the data. To get the optimum performance between the two classifiers, fusion was performed at the sensor level utilizing different classifiers, including K-nearest neighbors (K-NN) and support vector machines (SVMs). The technology collects palm prints and veins from sensors and combines them into consolidated images that take up less disk space. The amount of memory needed to store such photos has been lowered. The amount of memory is determined by the number of modalities fused

A New Smart Grid Hybrid DC–DC Converter with Improved Voltage Gain and Synchronized Multiple Outputs
This paper introduces a new hybrid DC-DC converter with enhanced voltage gain and synchronized multiple output capabilities, specifically tailored for smart grid applications. The proposed converter is based on the integration of non-isolated Zeta and Mahafzah converters, comprising a single controlled switch, two diodes, three inductors, and two coupling capacitors. The primary objective of this novel hybrid converter is to improve voltage gain as compared to conventional Zeta and Mahafzah topologies. By achieving higher voltage gain at lower duty cycles, the converter effectively reduces voltage stress on semiconductor switches and output diodes, thereby enhancing overall performance and reliability. A comprehensive examination of the hybrid converter's operating principle is presented, along with detailed calculations of duty cycle and switching losses. The paper also explores the converter's application in smart grids, specifically in the context of renewable energy systems and electric vehicles. Two distinct scenarios are analyzed to evaluate the converter's efficacy. Firstly, the converter is assessed as a DC-DC converter for renewable energy systems, highlighting its relevance in sustainable energy applications. Secondly, the converter is evaluated as an electric vehicle adapter, showcasing its potential in the transportation sector. To validate the converter's performance, extensive simulations are carried out using MATLAB/SIMULINK with parameters set at 25 kW, 200 V, and 130 A. The simulation results demonstrate the converter's ability to efficiently supply multiple loads with opposing energy flows, making it a promising technology for optimized grid management and energy distribution. Moreover, the paper investigates the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the grid current, focusing on its impact in smart grid environments. Notably, the new hybrid converter topology achieves a THD of 21.11% for the grid current, indicating its ability to effectively mitigate harmonics and improve power quality. Overall, this research introduces a cutting-edge hybrid DC-DC converter that enhances voltage gain and synchronizes multiple outputs, specifically catering to the requirements of smart grid applications. The findings underscore the converter's potential to significantly contribute to the advancement of efficient and resilient power conversion technologies for smart grids, enabling seamless integration of renewable energy systems and electric vehicles into the grid
The Effect of Branding on Orientation and Coaching: the Mediating Role of Hotel Culture.
The Tourism industry in the Middle East has gone through a myriad of challenges in the last decade mostly attributed to the Arab Spring. The Arab Spring revolutions of 2010 in countries including Tunisia, Morocco, Syria, Libya, Egypt and Bahrain, were marred with protests and violence, sending the message that the nations involved were not safe places for visitors. The resulting insecurity restructured the region as susceptible and threatening. This led to a marked reduction in tourist arrivals and revenues, and as a consequence, job losses. Since then, lack of employment in the hospitality sector in Middle East region continues to be a big problem. This study aims to fill this gap by studying the theories of branding image and training, and as such, explore the concepts of branding, hotel culture, orientation and coaching among hotel employees in Northern Cyprus. The questionnaires for the study were distributed to the five-star hotels in Northern Cyprus. The PLS software was used in the analysis
of the questionnaires and the study concluded that branding indeed affects hotel culture, coaching and orientation. The study also reached a number of recommendations including aligning the experiences of employees with brand promises, striving to adopt brand-specific leadership conducts, treating employees well and establishing formal systems
