The Use of Geotechnologies in the Analysis of Vegetation Index and Heat Island in the City of São Paulo, SP, Brazil
There is a solid body of knowledge linking urban growth to the decline of green spaces in Brazilian cities. In this context, this research aims to analyse the heat island, landscape ecology, and ecosystem services and their associated green infrastructure in São Paulo’s metropolitan area. Landscape Information will be applied to the open spaces and mapping will be done with the use of remote sensing techniques in Geographic Information System (GIS). High-resolution imagery will be used, including satellites World View-2 (panchromatic and multispectral from 0.5 to 2m), with the presence of the RGB bands and near infrared, pre-image processing will be done with filter Kuwahara. Subsequently, the classification will be supervised by MultiSpec 3.4 software, version 2010, with the following classes of land use: built area (including commercial area, residential multi-family, and single family, industrial area), asphalt, urban forest and other areas of vegetation and water surfaces. Also, the Kappa statistic will be used to calculate the accuracy of the classifications applied. Geotechnology will provide the basis for the examination of green infrastructure and the associated ecosystem services in the landscape. The vegetation index map was elaborated. The most widespread vegetation index is the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). The NDVI is used to characterize large areas on the density of vegetation. A thermal map will be produced in order to analyse possible heat islands in the study area. The NDVI index was related with the different temperatures in every subprefecture of the city of São Paulo. As a result of this research, it was found that areas with greater vegetation index feature lower surface temperatures. Therefore, it is intended to contribute to the local public policies emphasizing the importance of landscape planning in the pursuit of the population’s quality of life in São Paulo, SP, Brazil
New investigations on the 32S(3He,d)33Cl reaction at 9.6 MeV bombarding energy
The 32S(3He,d)33Cl one-proton transfer reaction is a powerful tool to investigate the spectroscopy of low-lying states in the proton-rich 33Cl nucleus. However, the extraction of firm differential cross-section data at various angles to benchmark and constrain theoretical models is made challenging by the presence of competitive reactions on target contaminants. In this paper we report on arecent measurement using a new generation hodoscope of silicon detectors, capable to detect and identify emitted deuterons down to energies of the order of 2 MeV. The high angular segmentation of our hodoscope combined with a suitable target to control possible contaminants, allowed to unambiguously disentangle the contribution of various states in 33Cl, in particular the 2.352 MeV state lying just few tens of keV above the proton separation energy

Study of the 32S(3He,d)33Cl one-proton transfer reaction with a new generation hodoscope
Abstract
The 32S(3He,d)33Cl one-proton transfer reaction is a powerful tool to investigate the spectroscopy of low-lying states in the proton-rich 33Cl nucleus. However, the extraction of firm differential cross-section data at various angles, against which benchmarking theoretical models to correctly constrain the spectroscopy of 33Cl, is made challenging by the presence of competitive reaction products contaminating the detected energy spectra. We have recently measured the 32S(3He,d)33Cl reaction at 9.8 MeV incident energy by using a new generation hodoscope of silicon detectors, capable to detect and identify emitted deuterons down to energies of the order of 2 MeV. The high angular segmentation of our hodoscope allowed to unambiguously disentangle the contribution of one-proton transfer reactions in the ground state of 33Cl and in its 0.810 MeV, 2.352 MeV, 2.685 MeV, 2.846 MeV excited states from contaminant deuteron-emitting reactions. These data will be crucial to help to constrain Jπ
and spectroscopic factor C

El clima urbano de ciudades subtropicales costeras atlánticas: el caso de la conurbación de Florianópolis
This work demonstrates the simultaneous influence of geoecological and urban factors on the variation of temperature and other climatic elements of the Florianópolis conurbation. Data was obtained in various places, following synoptic time series, under different weather types, using a digital thermo hygrometer and visual information. The temperature gradients maps, compared with airport station, demonstrated a significant thermal conservation capacity in places occupied by buildings and dense and intense traffic. Urban heat archipelagos instead of a continuing urban heat island were recorded as a consequence of urban poly nucleus and site morphologic compartments. The most intense heat islands occurred in the central part of the region, when the polar air masses dominate or are under pre-frontal transition. These results are relevant for the evaluation of environmental quality, and should support urban planning diagnostics.
The metropolis in all its social and environmental complexity provides a favorable scenario for developing consumer and thereby the environmental impacts resulting from these behaviors tend to gain proportions that offer higher risk to future generations.

An Analysis of the Park “Jardim da Luz” in the Municipality of São Paulo, SP, as an Urban Resilience Spotline
The accelerated real estate speculation has promoted a decrease in green areas, intensifying the socio-spatial exclusion and an overload on the natural environment. This work had as methodology, the use of geotechnology in the analysis of the landscape in the scope of land use and occupation, Land Surface Temperature and Vegetation Index considering a distance of 5 km. Thematic maps were generated that highlighted the surrounding landscape, thus evidencing the green infrastructure, land use and variation of the thermal field. The work aims to show the importance of Park “Jardim da Luz” in the environmental quality of the city and population of São Paulo, SP, Brazil. Thus, this research can contribute to the study of environmental sustainability in the context of metropolises, promoting actions that encourage good practices in the conservation of these public spaces that increasingly represent an oasis of quality of life in urban areas
