    Performance of rubber tree crown and panel clones in the southwest of the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil

    O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho de 12 combinações de três clones de painel (PB 311, PB 314 e RRIM 600) com quatro clones de copa (F 4512, MDF 180, IAN 6158 e IAN 6543) de seringueira cultivados no sudoeste do Estado do Mato Grosso. Utilizou-se o delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso, com quatro repetições. Foram avaliados: produção de borracha seca, percentagem de plantas aptas à sangria, secamento de painel, estado nutricional, teor de borracha seca, plasticidade Wallace (P0 e P30), índice de retenção de plasticidade e viscosidade Mooney. As combinações das copas IAN 6543 e MDF 180 com os painéis PB 311, RRIM 600 e PB 314 apresentaram estado nutricional adequado, com produtividade de borracha seca acima de 1,41 Mg ha-1 por ano. O clone de copa IAN 6158 propiciou, em oito anos, as maiores quantidades de plantas aptas à sangria. As combinações painel/copa apresentaram baixa incidência de secamento de painel, exceto PB 311 x IAN 6158. As borrachas das 12 combinações painel/copa apresentam boa resistência à degradação térmica e alta retenção de plasticidade.The objective of this work was to evaluate the performance of 12 combinations ​​of three rubber tree panel clones (PB 311, PB 314, and RRIM 600) and four crown clones (F 4512, MDF 180, IAN 6158, and IAN 6543) grown in the southwest of the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. A randomized complete block design was used, with four replicates. The following were evaluated: dry rubber yield, percentage of tappable trees, tapping panel dryness, nutritional status, dry rubber content, Wallace plasticity (P0 and P30), plasticity retention index, and Mooney viscosity. The combinations of the crowns IAN 6543 and MDF 180 with the panels PB 311, RRIM 600, and PB 314 showed adequate nutritional status, with dry rubber yield greater than 1.41 Mg ha-1 per year. The crown clone IAN 6158 provided, over eight years, the highest number of plants suitable for tapping. The panel/crown combinations showed low incidence of tapping panel dryness, except PB 311 x IAN 6158. The rubber of the 12 panel/crown combinations shows good resistance to thermal degradation and high plasticity retention

    In this research study on children with learning disabilities we tried to find out the existence of differences betwenn these and children without learning disabilities, by using the Bruininks and Ozeretsky (1978) test of motor proficiency and kirk, S.; McCarthy, J. and kirk, W. (1968) Illinois test of psycholinguistic abilities ITPA. The sample of this study consisted on 100 children, 50 males and 50 females, subdivided in two groups of 25 children, according to sex: the normal children, attending the 3rd grade of the elementary school level, and the group of children with learning disabilities, attending the 2nd grade, having, thus, already failed once. The mean age considered was 8 years and 6 months. They all came from a middle class social background, according to Grafar's scale (adapted by Fonseca, 1991). Children with any kind of handicap, except school failure, were excluded from the sample. Factor "G" of intelligence was also controlled, by using a percentile, higher or equals to 50 (mean level to high), measure by Raven's (1974) Progressive Combinations Test. The results obtained showed some kinds of variations occurring between the groups of children, which have suggested some interesting conclusions, before coming to the final conclusion. The tests administered showed a strong correlation between the variables of the motor proficiency components. The same applied to the psycholinguistic proficiency components. The difference regarding normal children and children with L.D. were only found at the level of motor proficiency. No correlation was found between this proficiency and the psycholinguistic proficiency. Finally, we were able to conclude that, within the aim of the present study, there is no prediction factor for the child with L.     Motor proficiency in normal children and with learning difficulty: a comparative and correlational study based on the motor proficiency test of Bruininks-Oseretsky

    The aim of this investigation is to verify the difference between children with learning disabilities and children without learning disabilities through motor proficiency test of Bruininks and Ozeretsky (1978). The sample was constituted by 30 children, with 8-year average age, 15 males and 15 females, subdivided into two groups of 15 children from both sexes: children without learning disabilities attending 3rd grade and children with learning disabilities attending 2nd grade having failed a term once. All of them came from a middle class background, according to Grafar scale (adapted by Fonseca, 1991). All children presenting any other disabilities were excluded from the sample. Intelligence factor “G” was controlled by using a percentile, higher or equal to 50 (middle and high level), measured by Raven’s (1974) progressive combinations test. In motor proficiency, children with learning disabilities showed significant differences when compared with normal children of the same age, in all components of global, composed and fine motricity. The tests administered showed a strong correlation between the variables of the motor proficiency components. The results lead to the conclusion that there were significant differences in motor proficiency between normal children and children with learning disabilities, who showed specific motor difficulties evincing a more vulnerable motor profile and not the presence of neurological dysfunction signs

    A conceptual approach to the theory of institutional dialogue in the constitutional Portuguese jurisdiction

    O constitucionalismo, enquanto resultado de uma série de movimentos de racionalização do Estado, serviu como indispensável vetor intelectual de limitação do exercício do poder do governante ainda no século XVII, por meio da previsão de direitos e garantias firmados em leis e declarações. Contudo, se antes a sua grande força motriz girava em torno da limitação do poder estatal e da separação de poderes, hoje os problemas são muito mais desafiadores. É que a pluralidade de interesses e de direitos nas sociedades atuais vem inspirando uma nova visão político‑jurídica que contempla arranjos institucionais capazes de conduzir a um exercício mais democrático da interpretação constitucional, isto é, alternativas nas quais a significação dos direitos é feita a partir de uma construção racional entre os Poderes instituídos, inexistindo assim, a figura de um ramo de governo supremo a todos os outros. A teoria do Diálogo Institucional, objeto da presente análise, é o mais notável destes novos arranjos. Definível, em síntese, como um sistema no qual as grandes decisões de um tribunal constitucional podem ser rediscutidas por um órgão legislativo, foi primeiramente adotado pela constituição canadense na década de 1980, e hoje tem suscitado considerável debate acadêmico sobre seus potenciais e falhas. Assim, o presente estudo, a partir de um viés essencialmente bibliográfico e qualitativo, analisa a origem histórica e conceitual da referida teoria buscando evidenciar como as estruturas de poder podem dialogar, e em que medida o diálogo público pode ser presente no sistema de definição dos direitos em Portugal
