First description of the female of the theridiid spider Robertus golovatchi (Araneae: Theridiidae)

Get PDF
The female of Robertus golovatchi Eskov, 1987 is described for the first time from Abkhazia and the male is also figured. The female is compared to another species known from the Caucasus R. mediterraneus Eskov, 1987

The first record of Micaria bonneti (Aranei: Gnaphosidae) in Mongolia

Get PDF
Micaria bonneti Schenkel, 1963, a species known only from China, is reported from Mongolia. Conspecificity of this species with specimens from Hubei Province and the central part of Inner Mongolia (type locality) is doubtful. M. mongunica Danilov, 1997, a species known by the holotype female from Western Tuva, is most likely a junior synonym of M. bonneti. Erroneous data about the type locality of M. bonneti is corrected. The epigyne of M. bonneti is illustrated in detail, and its structure is discussed.</p

Extant and fossil spiders (Araneae).

A new species related to Pardosa atrata (Araneae, Lycosidae) from Armenia makes the distribution range of the atrata group disjunctive

Get PDF
Species of wolf spiders considered in the Pardosa atrata group are surveyed, and comparative figures of all species included in the group are presented for the first time. A new species, P. armeniaca sp. nov., is described from the shore of Lake Sevan (Armenia) based on both sexes. Pardosa narymica Savelyeva, 1972 from East Kazakhstan Oblast' is synonymized with the trans-Palaearctic P. atrata (Thorell, 1873). It was found that the record of P. atrata (sub P. lapponica) by Schenkel from British Columbia and reflected in the World Spider Catalog in fact refers to P. concinna (Thorell, 1877), a member of the P. lapponica group. The distribution of three species consideredin the atrata group are mapped. The discovery of P. armeniaca sp. nov. has led to a re-evaluation of the distribution range, previously thought to be continuous, now showing a disjunctive pattern

A spider collection from the central parts of Yakutia, Siberia, includes 183 species, of which 130 have not been previously recorded from Yakutia. The species are listed together with collecting localities and with the first published record from Yakutia

A new species of Tekellina (Araneae, Araneoidea) from the Russian Far East

Get PDF
A new species, Tekellina yoshidai sp. n., is described based on the holotype female from the Maritime Province of Russia. It is the first record of the genus in Russia and the northernmost record in the entire range. The new species is most similar to T. sadamotoi Yoshida & Ogata, 2016 from Japan. Figures are provided for both species. The male palp of T. sadamotoi was studied with a SEM. It was found that palpal sclerites in T. sadamotoi and other Tekellina species are incorrectly homologized. Judging from the structure of the male palp and the female palpal claw, Tekellina seems to be misplaced in Theridiidae and belongs elsewhere

New biogeographical records of spiders and harvestmen (Arachnida: Araneae & Opiliones) from West Siberia, including an annotated list of species

Fifty-three species of spiders and one species of harvestmen were found in the previously unstudied Gydansky Peninsula, northwestern Siberia. Distribution for each species is given. Records of certain species are of a special interest: Xysticus viduus (the northernmost locality in its range), Crosbylonia borealis (the westernmost), Oreoneta eskovi (the northernmost and the westernmost), Clubiona norvegica (the easternmost in Asia), Pachygnatha listeri , Helophora insignis and Mitopus morio (the northernmost in Asia) and Oreoneta leviceps (the southernmost in the Palaearctic). Three species, Oreoneta eskovi, Pardosa oljunae and Thaleria orientalis, are endemics of West Siberia. About two-thirds of the species are either circum-Holarctic or trans-Palaearctic
