Forecasting China's Medical Insurance Policy for Urban Employees Using a Microsimulation Model
This paper uses microsimulation techniques to model individual's medical behavior and forecast the effects of different settings of medical insurance policies. The aim of the simulation is to measure the possible change and difference in policies in the process of implementation of the medical insurance policy settings for government policy makers. Based on predicting the medical expenses for urban employees in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province of China, the medical insurance policy was simulated over the five-year forecast period 2002 - 2006. The results estimated that the medical expenses of medical insurance participants in Zhenjiang will increase over this period. Retirees were found to be the main group of participants receiving the highest share of medical resource expenditure, with their medical expenses accounting for more than 45% of total medical expenses of all age groups. The proportion of medical expenses paid by the social pool funds for all groups of participants will increase annually. In addition to the base case forecasting the current policy setting, this paper also modeled two other policy settings to investigate what happens to key output variables if the policy settings are changed.Medical Insurance, Policy Research, Microsimulation, Model
Topological pressures for -stable and stable sets
Topological pressures of the preimages of -stable sets and some
certain closed subsets of stable sets in positive entropy systems are
investigated. It is showed that the topological pressure of any topological
system can be calculated in terms of the topological pressure of the preimages
of -stable sets. For the constructed closed subset of the stable set
or the unstable set of any point in a measure-theoretic `rather big' set of a
topological system with positive entropy, especially for the weakly mixing
subset contained in the closure of stable set and unstable set, it is proved
that topological pressures of these subsets can be no less than the
measure-theoretic pressure
Time-dependent Aharonov-Bohm effect on the noncommutative space
We study the time-dependent Aharonov-Bohm effect on the noncommutative space.
Because there is no net Aharonov-Bohm phase shift in the time-dependent case on
the commutative space, therefore, a tiny deviation from zero indicates new
physics. Based on the Seiberg-Witten map we obtain the gauge invariant and
Lorentz covariant Aharonov-Bohm phase shift in general case on noncommutative
space. We find there are two kinds of contribution: momentum-dependent and
momentum-independent corrections. For the momentum-dependent correction, there
is a cancellation between the magnetic and electric phase shifts, just like the
case on the commutative space. However, there is a non-trivial contribution in
the momentum-independent correction. This is true for both the time-independent
and time-dependent Aharonov-Bohm effects on the noncommutative space. However,
for the time-dependent Aharonov-Bohm effect, there is no overwhelming
background which exists in the time-independent Aharonov-Bohm effect on both
commutative and noncommutative space. Therefore, the time-dependent
Aharonov-Bohm can be sensitive to the spatial noncommutativity. \draftnote{The
net correction is proportional to the product of the magnetic fluxes through
the fundamental area represented by the noncommutative parameter , and
through the surface enclosed by the trajectory of charged particle.} More
interestingly, there is an anti-collinear relation between the logarithms of
the magnetic field and the averaged flux (N is the number of
fringes shifted). This nontrivial relation can also provide a way to test the
spatial noncommutativity. For , our estimation on the
experimental sensitivity shows that it can reach the scale. This
sensitivity can be enhanced by using stronger magnetic field strength, larger

Magnetic Coupling of a Rotating Black Hole with Advection-Dominated Accretion Flows
A model of magnetic coupling (MC) of a rotating black hole (BH) with
advection- dominated accretion flow (MCADAF) is proposed. It turns out that
MCADAF providers a natural explanation for the transition radius between ADAF
and SSD, and could be used to interpret the highest luminosity of GX 339-4 in
hard-state. A very steep emissivity index can be produced in the innermost part
of the MCADAF,which is consistent with the recent XMM-Newton observations of
the nearby bright Seyfert 1 galaxy MCG-6-30-15 and with two X-ray binaries
(XRBs): XTE J1655-500 and GX 339-4. In addition, we estimate the BH spins in
