Kajian Pemanfaatan Limbah Jerami sebagai Pakan Ternak Sapi di Provinsi Aceh
Kajian Pemanfaatan Limbah Jerami sebagai Pakan Ternak Sapi di Kabupaten Aceh Timur Provinsi Aceh bertujuan untuk mengintroduksikan teknologi pakan sapi berbasis jerami padi. Prosedur penelitian yang dilakukan meliputi koordinasi dengan Dinas Pertanian dan Peternakan, Kabupaten Aceh Timur dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui permasalahan dan kebutuhan teknologi, pembuatan fermentasi jerami padi dengan menggunakan probiotik, pembuatan urea molases blok, pelaksanaan introduksi dan manajemen teknologi pakan. Ternak yang digunakan sebanyak 9 ekor berdasarkan berat badan berkisar antara 100 – 300 kg. Ada tiga perlakuan ransum yang digunakan terdiri dari : R0 : Perlakuan petani (jerami + konsentrat) ; R1 : Hijauan 30% (15% rumput gajah + 15% rumpul gamal) + Jerami Fermentasi 70% + Mineral blok + Konsentrat (jagung+ dedak), ; R2 : Hijauan 70% (35% rumput gajah + 35% rumpul gamal) + Jerami Fermentasi 30% + Mineral blok + Konsentrat (jagung+ dedak). Pengamatan yang dilakukan meliputi pertambahan berat badan, konsumsi ransum, konversi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertambahan bobot hidup harian (PBHH) tertinggi dijumpai pada perlakuan R2 sebesar 0,82 kg/ekor/hari dan terendah pada perlakuan R0 sebesar 0,60 kg/ekor/hari. Pola pemberian ransum Hijauan 70% (35% rumput gajah + 35% rumpul gamal) + Jerami Fermentasi 30% + Mineral blok + Konsentrat (jagung+ dedak) yaitu (R2) memberikan pertambahan bobot hidup harian (PBHH) yang optimal. Hasil pengkajian ini menunjukkan bahwa formula pakan pada perlakuan R2 lebih efisien dengan formula pakan pada perlakuan lainnya
Peningkatan Aktivitas Siswa dengan Menggunakan Metode Demonstrasi pada Kelas IV Mi Muhammadiyah
Increased activity of students in the Natural Sciences learning by using the method of demonstration in grade IV MI Muhammadiyah Ketapang. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Form of research used in accordance with this research is a form of survey (survey studies). nature of this research is Classroom Action Research. The results of this study showed an increase in activity of students in learning science is as follows: Physical activity early study 57.35%, 75.00% for cycle 1 cycle 2 was 80.89%, 91.18% for 3 cycles. Mental activity early studies of 39.71%, 44.12% for cycle 1 cycle 2 to cycle 3 was 58.82% at 69.12%. Emotional activity early studies of 58.82%, 77.94% for cycle 1 cycle 2 cycle 3 was 83.83% with an average of 92.65%

: Increasing Student Activity In Natural Sciences Learning Method Using Group . This study aims to determine Increased physical activity , mental activity and emotional activity Siwa in science learning using group work method in the fourth grade students of SDN 08 Estuary Pawan Ketapang? The method used is descriptive method using a qualitative approach . This study was conducted in three cycles with results indicate that students in science learning activities using group work on fourth grade students of SDN 08 Estuary Pawan 37.26 % of the base line to the third cycle of 73.04 % has increased by 35.78 % category enough . Referring to the objectives of this study ( 1 ) Physical activity students 39.71 % of the base line to the third cycle of 76.47 % at 36.76 % increase enough categories , (2 ) the mental activity of students from the base line of 42.65 to third cycle of 76.47 % 33.82 % increase enough categories , (3 ) emotional activity for students from the base line to the third cycle 29.41 . The method used is descriptive method , the form of research is classroom action research , with the collaborative nature of qualitative research . This research was conducted by three cycles of the first cycle , second cycle and third cycle . The steps in the study of planning, implementation , observation and reflection . The instrument used was learning Implementation Plan ( RPP ) and a data collection tool that is the observation sheet and test instruments . Growth enhancement and protective potential of feed-based outer membrane proteins against vibriosis in Macrobrachium rosenbergii
The use of antibiotics to curtail vibriosis, which is a major infectious disease, plaguing shrimp and prawn is rather becoming less effective and the need for a better alternative is expedient. The outer membrane proteins (OMPs) of V. alginolyticus were extracted, mixed with powdered commercial feed and fed to the prawns to evaluate its effect on growth performance and protective potential. Sixty prawns were divided into groups A, B and C of 10 prawns each, with two replicates in six (150 L) glass aquaria. Groups A, B and C were fed with OMPs mixed diet, with OMPs-Freund’s incomplete adjuvant mixed diet and OMPs or adjuvant free diet (control diet) respectively. All the prawns were weighed weekly, and haemolymph was collected to determine the total haemocyte count (THC) and phenoloxidase (PO) activity. At the end of the feeding trial, prawns were intramuscularly challenged with 50 μL of 107 CFU V. alginolyticus. The treated groups were significantly higher in growth performance and THC than the control group, but no significant difference between the groups in terms of PO activity and mortality rate. The study, however, submitted that oral administration of OMPs with or without adjuvant is a good growth promoter and has the potential for protection against vibriosis in giant freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii)
Introduksi Pakan Basal dan Indigofera untuk Meningkatkan Performa Kambing di Kabupaten Bireun
Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di desa Keudee Dua, Kecamatan Juli, Kabupaten Bireun pada tahun 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. P1 = Pakan basal 30% + indigofera 70%, P2 = Pakan basal 50% + indigofera 50%, dan P3 = Pakan basal 70% + indogofera 30%. Ternak yang digunakan yaitu ternak kambing sebanyak 15 ekor. Ternak mendapatkan suplementasi konsentrat terlebih dahulu, setelah habis baru diberikan pakan basal, sedangkan air minum diberikan ad-libitum. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 4 bulan dengan masa adaptasi 2 minggu. Teknik pengambilan sampel responden dilakukan sebanyak 30 orang peternak melalui metode survei dan kuesioner. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi: kondisi geografis dan agrofisik wilayah, pertambahan bobot badan harian, karakteristik peternak, dan manajemen pemberian pakan. Data yang dikumpulkan diolah secara tabulasi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertambahan bobot badan (PBBH) ternak kambing berkisar antara 51,83 sampai 57,00. PBBH ternak kambing yang diberi ransum P3 lebih tinggi dibandingkan P1 dan P2, meski tidak berbeda nyata. Untuk karakteristik dan manajemen pemberian pakan, peternak terbuka dalam menerima inovasi yang diajarkan. Pengetahuan dan sikap petani peternak dalam menerima teknologi inovatif sangat baik sehingga pemanfaatan pakan lebih efisien di lokasi
The effect of heat stress on the oxidative status of red hybrid tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) infected with Streptococcus Agalactiae
A commercial red hybrid tilapia was experimented with S. agalactiae infection under influences of heat stress which indicated by plasma malondialdehyde (MDA) and erythrocyte superoxide dismutase (SOD) as biomarkers of stress. To achieve these objectives, 110 red hybrid tilapia in good health were divided into five groups of 22 fish each. Group A was challenged with 2.3 109 CFU of S. agalactiae and exposed to heat stress at 33 ± 0.5C on day 1. Group B was challenged on day 1 as in Group A but heat stress was introduced on day 7 post challenge (pc). Group C was exposed to heat stress on day 1 and challenged on day 7 pc while groups D and E served as a positive and negative controls respectively. Blood samples were collected at days 0, 3, 7, 10 and 14 for MDA and SOD analysis. Groups A and B recorded high mortality following exposure to heat stress and bacteria inoculation, with group A reaching 100% mortality at day 7 post inoculation. Overall, Groups A, B, C and Group D showed pattern of increase in MDA level as early as day 3 and decrease pattern for SOD activity. Group E did not show any significant difference in MDA level throughout the study period. Clinical signs such as erratic swimming, exopthalmia, skin haemorrhage and cloudy eye were predominantly observed in group A 24 h post inoculation. Based on the findings of this study, it was concluded that heat stress plays crucial role in the pathogenesis of S. agalactiae, via alteration of the oxidant defence system
Role of high resolution computed tomography (HRCT) of the chest in the diagnosis of lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) – A serial study of 15 patients
AbstractAim of workTo highlight the characteristic high resolution computed tomography (HRCT) findings in 15 patients diagnosed with lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), narrowing the wide range of ILD and allowing accurate diagnosis preventing unnecessary interventional procedures.Patients and methods15 female patients ranged in age from 17 to 55years (mean age=40.33years). ILD was suspected based on clinical examination and chest radiographs. They were referred to do HRCT chest for further assessment. A 64 MSCT scanner was used.ResultsAll patients showed bilateral multiple cysts showing upper lobar predominance in 13.3% of cases and lower lobar one in 6.7%. The size of the cysts ranged from few mms to 3cm with variable wall thickness. Pneumothorax was reported in three patients and pulmonary hypertension in 15 cases.ConclusionHRCT is a valued diagnostic tool for diagnosis of LAM showing characteristic features for the disease
