PERFORMANCE STUDY OF FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS ON NON EXPANSIVE SOILS
As part of infrastructure development huge investment is being made on expansion of National highways and important roads across the country. For improvement of Highways two types of Pavements are commonly used in India viz., Flexible Pavements (Bituminous) and rigid pavements (Concrete). Flexible pavements are widely used in this country from the considerations of economy The performance of Flexible pavements depends largely on properties of original ground on which the pavement rests, the quality of materials used in the construction of various layers of pavement and quality assurance as per relevant specifications. In general any road after construction is basically evaluated by the performance in terms of unevenness index and structural stability over a period of time. The evaluation of these two important parameters will facilitate the clear understanding of performance of various materials used in the construction and to undertake suitable rehabilitation measures if necessary. PC to PC Transfer of Text, Images Using Visible Light Communication (VLC)
Light Emitting Diodes are assuming a noteworthy part in numerous regions of our everyday life. Aside from transmitting light, these LED\u27s can be used for data transmission utilizing Visible Light Communication (VLC). In this paper, We propose a complete model to transfer text, images from one device to another using Visible light communication, in which transmitter transmits the encrypted data through visible light and the receiver at the receiving end identifies the transmitted data and decrypts it to retrieve the data sent
Nicotine stomatitis and its relation to carcinoma of the hard palate in reverse smokers of chuttas
Clinical surveys and biopsy studies demonstrated a close correlation among reverse smoking, nicotine stomatitis, and carcinoma of the palate
Changes in the ducts of the glands of the hard palate in reverse smokers
Three hundred fifty-nine cases of stomatitis nicotina were studied in reverse smokers of home made chuttas. One hundred thirty-five biopsies of papular unbilicated lesions of stomatitis nicotina were studied histopathologically. The biopsies were chosen after toluidine blue staining. Mild dysplastic to severe dysplastic changes were seen around the openings of the ducts of the glands. There were three cases of microinvasive carcinoma in the one hundred thirty-five biopsies. Cystic dilatation of the ducts, due to obstruction of the ducts by keratotic plugging, was not seen in stomatitis nicotina lesions but was seen in elderly women who had smoked reverse for more than 4 to 5 decades. The ducts of the glands could probably form a portal of entry for the tobacco pyrolytic products which may act as carcinogenics
Indices for Superconformal Field Theories in 3,5 and 6 Dimensions
We present a trace formula for a Witten type Index for superconformal field
theories in d=3,5 and 6 dimensions, generalizing a similar recent construction
in d=4. We perform a detailed study of the decomposition of long
representations into sums of short representations at the unitarity bound to
demonstrate that our trace formula yields the most general index (i.e. quantity
that is guaranteed to be protected by superconformal symmetry alone) for the
corresponding superalgebras. Using the dual gravitational description, we
compute our index for the theory on the world volume of N M2 and M5 branes in
the large N limit. We also compute our index for recently constructed Chern
Simons theories in three dimensions in the large N limit, and find that, in
certain cases, this index undergoes a large N phase transition as a function of
chemical potentials.Comment: a small typo corrected, 46 page
