Diverticular disease of the sigmoid colon, complicated by a tubular intestinal fistula of the anterior abdominal wall and cicatricial stricture of the sigmoid colon (case report)

Aim of the study was to consider a clinical example of diverticular disease of the sigmoid colon, complicated by a tubular intestinal fistula of the anterior abdominal wall and cicatricial stricture of the sigmoid colon. Material and methods. Patient B., 76 years old, was admitted to the proctology department with complaints of the presence of a fistula with purulent discharge in the area of the surgical scar. Preoperative examination with MRI, colonoscopy, fistulography revealed diverticular disease of the sigmoid colon, complicated by a tubular intestinal fistula of the anterior abdominalwall and stricture of the sigmoid colon at the level of the internal opening of the fistula. Results. The operation was performed in the following volume - excision of the fistula, resection of the sigmoid colon bearing the fistula, with endto-end anastomosis in the area without diverticula

Сравнительная характеристика типичной и атипичной (микоплазменной) пневмонии у детей

Aim: To compare the features of clinical-anamnestic and laboratory-instrumental data and treatment of children with typical and atypical (Mycoplasma) forms of pneumonia.Materials and methods. A comparative analysis was carried out of 1 70 case histories of children in hospital with a verified diagnosis of pneumonia in 2020. The basis for the diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumonia was a positive PCR result of a smear of the posterior pharyngeal wall. The resulting data was constructed using Microsoft Excel 2007.Results. Mycoplasma pneumonia is specific for older schoolchildren; characterized by: prolonged course (73.5%), long-term preservation of an unproductive cough (75.7%), mild intoxication (68.6%) and catarrhal syndromes (54.3%), gradual onset (76.6%), severe lymphocytosis up to 55%, segmental or polysegmental damage to the lung tissue (92.7%).Цель: сравнить особенности клинико-анамнестических и лабораторно-инструментальных данных у детей с типичной и атипичной (микоплазменной) пневмонией.Материалы и методы. Был проведен сравнительный анализ 170 историй болезни детей, находящихся на стационарном лечении с верифицированным диагнозом пневмония в ДИБО БУЗ УР «ГКБ №7 МЗ УР» в 2020 г. Основанием для постановки диагноза микоплазменной пневмонии являлся положительный результат ПЦР мазка задней стенки глотки. Полученные данные были сконструированы с помощью Microsoft Excel 2007.Результаты. Микоплазменная пневмония специфична для детей старшего школьного возраста и характеризуется затяжным течением (73,5%), длительным сохранением малопродуктивного кашля (75,7%), слабо выраженными интоксикационным (68,6%) и катаральным синдромами (54,3%), постепенным началом (76,6%), выраженным лимфоцитозом до 55%, сегментарным или полисегментарным поражением легочной ткани (92,7%)

Results of experimental infection of vaccinated and non-vaccinated ducklings with duck hepatitis virus

Duck virus hepatitis, a highly contagious disease occurring in ducklings, is currently reported in all countries with duck breeding industry. This infection is included in the list of notifiable diseases of the World Organization for Animal Health, restrictive measures are established and the regionalization of the country’s territory is carried out in case of its occurrence. Timely vaccination of parent flocks in order to obtain immune offspring takes a priority place in the system of anti-epidemic measures. Due to active development of duck breeding industry and increasing number of backyard farms, the need for high-quality and effective prevention tools for this infectious disease is growing. To date, one domestic native vaccine produced by FGBI «ARRIAH» and registered in the Russian Federation is available in native form and is intended for parenteral use. In order to extend the vaccine’s shelf life and for storage and transportation convenience, a live freeze-dried vaccine against duck virus hepatitis is being developed. The paper presents results of studying the pathogenesis of duck virus hepatitis and evaluating the efficacy and safety of the vaccine under development. Pathomorphological studies carried out post experimental infection indicate that duck hepatitis virus induces pathogenic effect not only in birds’ digestive organs (the liver, in particular) but also causes degenerative changes in central and peripheral immune organs: in cloacal bursa, thymus and third eyelid gland, that may be manifested as deficiency of B- and T-cell immunity and requires further studies. It has been shown that in case of immunization of 3-day-old ducklings, the experimental vaccine induces antibody-mediated immune response, no harmful effect is produced on poultry if a tenfold dose is admin­istered which indicates its safety, and the vaccine ensures protection against infection with a control virulent strain of hepatitis virus

Hyades Star Cluster and a New Comets

The Gaia DR2 data revealed that the Hyades star cluster is stretched along the spatial orbit for tens of parsecs. According to our estimates, 0.85 million years ago there was an approach of the cluster with the Sun up to 24.8 pc. The displacements of the perihelions of small bodies orbits in the outer Oort cloud turned them into observable comets.Известно, что скопление Гиады растянуто вдоль пространственной орбиты на десятки парсек. По нашим оценкам, 0.85 млн лет назад было сближение скопления с Солнцем до 24.8 пк. Возможные смещения перигелия орбит малых тел в облаке Оорта делают часть из них наблюдаемыми кометами.РаботаМ. Д.
