    Comprehensibility of UML-based Formal Model – A Series of Controlled Experiments

    This paper summarises two controlled experiments conducted on a model that integrates the use of semi-formal notation, the Unified Modelling Language (UML) and a formal notation, B. The experiments assessed the comprehensibility of the model, namely UML-B. The first experiment compared the comprehensibility of a UML-B model and a B model. In the second experiment, the model was compared with an Event-B model, a new generation of B. The experiments assessed the ability of the model to present information and to promote problem domain understanding. The measurement focused on the efficiency in performing the comprehension tasks. The experiments employed a cross-over design and were conducted on third-year and masters students. The results suggest that the integration of semi-formal and formal notations expedites the subjects’ comprehension tasks with accuracy even with limited hours of training

    The research of land capability classification survey is held on the area of water capturing (DTA) of Danau Toba. Land capability classification is fulfilled by using scoring methods based on the land unit in DTA of Danau Toba. The scorring of limitation factor of each land unit is held to obtain land capability class. Here are the limitation factors of each land unit: the depth of effectivity land, texture, drainage, permeability, slope, erotion, flood and surface stone.The research outcome shows that there are totally 36 land units which are divided into 8 land capability classes. Land width of the first class is 26.484.59 ha, the second class is 73.422.64 ha, the third class is 32.912.79 ha, the fourth class is 28.442.06 ha, the fifth class is 21.751.94 ha, the sixth class is 2.749.55 ha, the seventh class is 618.26 ha and the eight class is 30.155.78 ha

    Minat adalah kesediaan jiwa yang sifatnya aktif untuk menerima sesuatu dari luar. Dengan mengetahui minat siswa terhadap pendidikan jasmani di sekolah maka guru pendidikan jasmani bisa memodifikasi alat dalam satu cabang olahraga, agar siswa tidak jenuh dalam melakukan satu cabang olahraga di sekolah. Oleh karna itu minat sangat berpegaruh terhadap prestasi olahraga di setiap sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui minat siswa SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh terhadap Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini tergolong dalam penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 66 siswa. Mengingat jumlah populasi yang relatif sedikit, maka semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian (total sampling). Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan skala jenjang dan dilanjutkan dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa minat siswa SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh dengan rata-rata 65,07 berada pada kategori tinggi, dengan rincian (1) sebanyak 53 responden (80%) berada pada kategori tinggi, (2) sebanyak 9 responden (13%) berada pada kategori sedang, dan (3) sebanyak 4 responden (6%) berada pada kategori rendah

    Greenhouse study experiment aimed to study the utilization of waste liquid concentrates and boiler ash of palm oil mill as nutrient source of Ultisols. This study was using complete block randomized design with two factor and three replications, concentrate of waste liquid factor 0, 10, 20, 30 ton / ha and boiler ash factor 0, 50, 100, 150 kg K2O / ha. Parameters measured were soil pH, organic-C, total -N, available-P, and exchange K, plant height, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, and plant N, P, K uptake. The result of study showed that concentrate of waste liquid of palm oil mill can act as nutrient sources because increase all parameters, but boiler ash just increase soil pH, available P, exchange K and plant P uptak

    Sebagai negara yang kaya akan sumber daya alam dan memiliki keindahan alam yang luar biasa, maka kita harus mampu memanfaatkann ya sumberdaya yang ada semaksimal mungkin. Wilayah perairan di Indonesia, khususnya di perairan Pulau Bengkalis, sangat kaya dengan potensi lautnya. Namun, untuk mengembangkan potensi tersebut dibutuhkan sarana dan fasilitas yang memadai khususnya bagi para nelayan. Salah satu sarana transportasi bagi nelayan di Bengkalis yang perlu dikembangkan adalah kapal fiberglass. Pengetahuan tentang proses pembuatan kapal nelayan dari fiberglass sangat diperlukan bagi perkembangan dunia perkapalan yang berbasis pada kerakyatan, karena dinilai dari segi biaya, perawatan, kontruksi, dan proses pembuatan kapal fiberglass lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan material lain. Dalam proses tersebut sangat perlu diperhatikan beberapa hal, antaranya lain : Perhitungan Rencana Garis, perhitungan Rencana Umum serta pembacan dan terjemahan gambar, penentuan tahapan pengerjaan.     The study on the total of biomass of grasses and it\u27s influences on soil moisture was conducted atSilahisabungan Subdistrict Dairi District, from November 2011 until February 2012. The objectiveof this research was to evaluate the effect of grasses to soil mositure. This study used survey methodwith purposive sampling. The result of this research showed that grass vegetation with rathersloping class total biomass 10,6 ton/ha, carbon reserve 5,3 ton/ha, field capacity 63,4 %, permanentwilting point 1,3 %, water content 62,0 % and permeability 7,5 cm/hours. In the undulating slopestotal biomass 7,1 ton/ha, carbon reserve 3,55 ton/ha, field capacity 51,6 %, permanent wiltingpoint 2,4 %, water content 49,2 % and permeability 7,6 cm/hours. In the rather steep slope totalbiomass 15,5 ton/ha, carbon reserve 7,75 ton/ha, field capacity 32,8 %, permanent wilting point 3,8%, water content 29,0 % and permeability 9,6 cm/hourd. In the forest vegetation with rather slopingclass, biomass total 7,54 ton/ha, carbon reserve 3,77 ton/ha, field capacity 150 %, permanent wiltingpoint 23,5 %, water content 126,5 % and permeability 10,3 cm/hours. In the undulating slopes totalbiomass 6,24 ton/ha, carbon reserve 3,12 ton/ha, field capacity 51,5 %, permanent wilting point 7,5%, water content 44 % and permeability 8,2 cm/hours. In the rather steep slope total biomass 8,86ton/ha, carbon reserve 4,43 ton/ha, field capacity 33,3 %, permanent wilting point 4,2 %, watercontent 29,2 % and permeability 11,25 cm/hours

    This study aimed to evaluate the suitability of land in Muara North Tapanuli for rainfed paddyfields. Based on a map of soil type and slope maps generated from topographic maps with a scaleof 1: 50,000, then be overlaid. Raised 3 LMU(Land Map Unit) are eligible to be assessed for rainfedpaddy crop. The assessment of land suitability classes with appropriateness rainfed paddy fieldscriteria is based on Djaenuddin, et al., 2011. The results showed that the potential land suitabilityclass LMU 1 isN (rc), potential land suitability class LMU 2 is S3 (tc), potential land suitabilityclass LMU 3 is S3 (tc, rc). Potential land area for rainfed paddy fields in the district of Muara is of1844 hectares
