Uniqueness of nontrivially complete monotonicity for a class of functions involving polygamma functions

For m,n∈Nm,n\in\mathbb{N}, let fm,n(x)=[ψ(m)(x)]2+ψ(n)(x)f_{m,n}(x)=\bigr[\psi^{(m)}(x)\bigl]^2+\psi^{(n)}(x) on (0,∞)(0,\infty). In the present paper, we prove using two methods that, among all fm,n(x)f_{m,n}(x) for m,n∈Nm,n\in\mathbb{N}, only f1,2(x)f_{1,2}(x) is nontrivially completely monotonic on (0,∞)(0,\infty). Accurately, the functions f1,2(x)f_{1,2}(x) and fm,2n−1(x)f_{m,2n-1}(x) are completely monotonic on (0,∞)(0,\infty), but the functions fm,2n(x)f_{m,2n}(x) for (m,n)≠(1,1)(m,n)\ne(1,1) are not monotonic and does not keep the same sign on (0,∞)(0,\infty).Comment: 9 page

Improved adaptive genetic algorithm for the vehicle insurance fraud identification model based on a BP neural network

    Get PDF
With the development of the insurance industry, insurance fraud is increasing rapidly. The existence of insurance fraud considerably hinders the development of the insurance industry. Fraud identification has become the most important part of insurance fraud research. In this paper, an improved adaptive genetic algorithm (NAGA) combined with a BP neural network (BP neural network) is proposed to optimize the initial weight of BP neural networks to overcome their shortcomings, such as ease of falling into local minima, slow convergence rates and sample dependence. Finally, the historical automobile insurance claim data of an insurance company are taken as a sample. The NAGA-BP neural network model was used for simulation and prediction. The empirical results show that the improved genetic algorithm is more advanced than the traditional genetic algorithm in terms of convergence speed and prediction accuracy

Chiral geometry of higher excited bands in triaxial nuclei with particle-hole configuration

The lowest six rotational bands have been studied in the particle-rotor model with the particle-hole configuration πh11/21⊗νh11/2−1\pi h^1_{11/2}\otimes\nu h^{-1}_{11/2} and different triaxiality parameter γ\gamma. Both constant and spin-dependent variable moments of inertial (CMI and VMI) are introduced. The energy spectra, electromagnetic transition probabilities, angular momentum components and KK-distribution have been examined. It is shown that, besides the band 1 and band 2, the predicted band 3 and band 4 in the calculations of both CMI and VMI for atomic nuclei with γ=30∘\gamma=30^\circ could be interpreted as chiral doublet bands.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure

Experimental demonstration of phase-remapping attack in a practical quantum key distribution system

Unconditional security proofs of various quantum key distribution (QKD) protocols are built on idealized assumptions. One key assumption is: the sender (Alice) can prepare the required quantum states without errors. However, such an assumption may be violated in a practical QKD system. In this paper, we experimentally demonstrate a technically feasible "intercept-and-resend" attack that exploits such a security loophole in a commercial "plug & play" QKD system. The resulting quantum bit error rate is 19.7%, which is below the proven secure bound of 20.0% for the BB84 protocol. The attack we utilize is the phase-remapping attack (C.-H. F. Fung, et al., Phys. Rev. A, 75, 32314, 2007) proposed by our group.Comment: 16 pages, 6 figure

Vector Potential and Berry phase-induced Force

We present a general theoretical framework for the exact treatment of a hybrid system that is composed of a quantum subsystem and a classical subsystem. When the quantum subsystem is dynamically fast and the classical subsystem is slow, a vector potential is generated with a simple canonical transformation. This vector potential, on one hand, gives rise to the familiar Berry phase in the fast quantum dynamics; on the other hand, it yields a Lorentz-like force in the slow classical dynamics. In this way, the pure phase (Berry phase) of a wavefunction is linked to a physical force.Comment: 4 pages, 1 figur
