3D Data Processing Toward Maintenance and Conservation. The Integrated Digital Documentation of Casa de Vidro
During the last decade, 3D integrated surveys and BIM modelling procedures have greatly improved the overall knowledge on some Brazilian Modernist buildings. In this framework, the Casa de Vidro 3D survey carried out by DIAPReM centre at Ferrara University, beside the important outputs, analysis and researches achieved from the point cloud database processing, was also useful to test several awareness increasing activities in cooperation with local stakeholders.
The first digital documentation test of the Casa de Vidro allowed verifying the feasibility of a full survey on the building towards the restoration and possible placement of new architectures into the garden as an archive-museum of the Lina Bo and P.M. Bardi Foundation. Later, full 3D integrated survey and diagnostic analysis were carried out to achieve the total digital documentation of the house sponsored by the Keeping it Modern initiative of Getty Foundation (Los Angeles). Following its characteristics, the survey had to take into consideration the different architectural features, up to the relationship of architecture and nature.
These 3D documentation activities and the point cloud processing allowed several analysis in a multidisciplinary framework

Postural evaluation in young skaters: effect of two proprioceptive training
The roller skating involves developing of motor and artistic skills from an early age. The aim was to evaluate
the effects that an ocular a podalic proprioceptive training cause to postural control and stability in a sample
of young skaters. A total of 25 skaters aged between 9 and 15 (12±2.14) divided into two groups: the eyes
group (EG) aimed at exercising visual proprioception, the feet group (FG) aimed at exercising podalic
proprioception. The participants were subject to through electronic stabilometry in static mode, open (OE)
and closed (CE) eyes, in a time T0 (pre-training) and T1 (post-training), without and with skates. The results
through the two paired t-test showed that both variables Wz (TotHz) to CE within the EG (p<.05) and Wx
(TotHz) to CE within the FG (p<.05) were statistical significance. The unpaired t-test showed that the FG
obtained a greater statistical significance than the EG for the VarVit and Wx (TotHz) variables in CE (p<.05)
and Wz (TotHz) in both CE and OE (p<.05). The two-way ANOVA found statistical significance (p<.05) on
the Wx (TotHz) variable in open/closed eyes of the FG (T0/T1). We concluded that in roller skating it could
be useful to integrate athletic training with a visual proprioceptive training.

Establishing drug utilisation research in regional North Queensland.
[Extract] Quality Use of Medicines includes the safe and effective use of medicines, and is a core objective of the National Medicines Policy in Australia.
Dispensing data are collected by a government agency (Medicare) for administrative purposes, for reimbursement of the pharmacy where the medicine was supplied.
Prior to April 2012, dispensing data were limited to prescription medicines which exceeded the patient co-payment cost.
A proof-of-concept was initiated by the primary author (Kairuz) to develop a comprehensive dataset of local dispensing records. Collaboration with Pudmenzky and Rossato led to the development of software to extract and de-identify dispensing data.
A pilot study was conducted in collaboration with Fredericks in metropolitan South Queensland (Ethical approval UQ 2012000078)

The implementation of problem based learning styles to teach the Coach-Athlete relationship to undergraduate Sport and Exercise Science students
This study explored problem based learning (PBL) styles and it’s suitability to improve the learning experience of level 6 (third year) Sport and Exercise Science undergraduate university students compared to a traditional style of lecturing when teaching the Coach-Athlete relationship. Sixty-four (Mage years=23.47, SD=3.44) students attended a lecture on the topic of the Coach-Athlete relationship. A PBL task was implemented using images of a coach showing a hostile approach and another image of a coach using a friendly approach. These images were used to initiate discussions about the potential problems the scenarios could elicit. At the end of the session student’s completed a questionnaire regarding their thoughts about the session’s ability to aid learning and whether they felt it was preferred over a traditional style of lecturing as well as their enjoyment of the session. Eighty one percent (n=52) of participants found the task helpful to aid learning, 66% (n=42) of participants indicated that using this style of lecture could aid learning more than a traditional approach and 73% (n=47) of participants enjoyed the task. It may be useful to use PBL styles in lecture sessions to engage students within the topic area of the Coach-Athlete relationship. PBL could also be used to help develop transferable skills for those students who want to pursue a career in coaching
PARAMETRICAL ANALYSIS AND DIGITAL FABRICATION OF THIN SHELL STRUCTURES: THE IMPACT OF CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE ON THE RESULTING GEOMETRY OF THE GAUSSIAN VAULTS OF ELADIO DIESTE
Abstract. The objective of this article is to analyze the state-of-art regarding the construction process of the Gaussian Vaults of the Uruguayan civil engineer Eladio Dieste and to identify the elements that underlie the relationship between the constructive techniques and procedures within this specific structural typology and its resulting geometry. As complementary objectives, this research aims for the identification of the gaps in the registry of such constructive procedures. The essay focuses on the geometry of the Gaussian Vaults designed and built by Dieste, in a way that these rigid structural surfaces' geometry had their original construction drawings redrawn and analyzed from the perspective of its construction technique by means of the Parametrical Modelling and Digital Fabrication of case studies.</p
Clinical standards for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of TB infection
BACKGROUND: Tuberculosis (TB) preventive therapy (TPT) decreases the risk of developing TB disease and its associated morbidity and mortality. The aim of these clinical standards is to guide the assessment, management of TB infection (TBI) and implementation of TPT.METHODS: A panel of global experts in the field of TB care was identified; 41 participated in a Delphi process. A 5-point Likert scale was used to score the initial standards. After rounds of revision, the document was approved with 100% agreement.RESULTS: Eight clinical standards were defined: Standard 1, all individuals belonging to at-risk groups for TB should undergo testing for TBI; Standard 2, all individual candidates for TPT (including caregivers of children) should undergo a counselling/health education session; Standard 3, testing for TBI: timing and test of choice should be optimised; Standard 4, TB disease should be excluded prior to initiation of TPT; Standard 5, all candidates for TPT should undergo a set of baseline examinations; Standard 6, all individuals initiating TPT should receive one of the recommended regimens; Standard 7, all individuals who have started TPT should be monitored; Standard 8, a TBI screening and testing register should be kept to inform the cascade of care.CONCLUSION: This is the first consensus-based set of Clinical Standards for TBI.
