Guidelines for key organizational factors for saas organizations
© 2019 Association for Computing Machinery. Software as a Service is a new model of software deployment where a provider licenses an application to customers for use as a service on demand. Due to benefits offered by it, organizations are transferring towards the SaaS delivery model. As compared to traditional organizations, SaaS organizations must consider key factors to stand out in a competitive market. This paper provides a better understanding of key factors for SaaS organization and provides guidelines for these key factors for SaaS organization. Ultimately, these guidelines will be valuable for SaaS vendors to improve SaaS application performance
Constraints on Beta Functions from Duality
We analyze the way in which duality constrains the exact beta function and
correlation length in single-coupling spin systems. A consistency condition we
propose shows very concisely the relation between self-dual points and phase
transitions, and implies that the correlation length must be duality invariant.
These ideas are then tested on the 2-d Ising model, and used towards finding
the exact beta function of the -state Potts model. Finally, a generic
procedure is given for identifying a duality symmetry in other single-coupling
models with a continuous phase transition.Comment: LaTeX, 6 page
Kernelization and Parameterized Algorithms for 3-Path Vertex Cover
A 3-path vertex cover in a graph is a vertex subset such that every path
of three vertices contains at least one vertex from . The parameterized
3-path vertex cover problem asks whether a graph has a 3-path vertex cover of
size at most . In this paper, we give a kernel of vertices and an
-time and polynomial-space algorithm for this problem, both new
results improve previous known bounds.Comment: in TAMC 2016, LNCS 9796, 201
Localization in Strongly Chaotic Systems
We show that, in the semiclassical limit and whenever the elements of the
Hamiltonian matrix are random enough, the eigenvectors of strongly chaotic
time-independent systems in ordered bases can on average be exponentially
localized across the energy shell and decay faster than exponentially outside
the energy shell. Typically however, matrix elements are strongly correlated
leading to deviations from such behavior.Comment: RevTeX, 5 pages + 3 postscript figures, submitted to Phys. Rev. Let
Confucian Principles: A Study of Chinese Americans’ Interpersonal Relationships in Selected Children’s Picturebooks
[[abstract]]There has not been enough critical analysis of children’s literature by and about Chinese Americans, especially when compared to other minority groups in the United States. In particular, Chinese American historical books lack extensive analysis. It is important to reflect cultural accuracy in literature and to help children develop clear concepts of self and others by providing precise cultural and physical characteristics of people. While cultural authenticity allows children the opportunity to see a reflection of real experiences within a book instead of seeing stereotypes or misrepresentations, obtaining correct information about a certain time period can help children to see images of immigration accurately represented in literature. Using the Confucian delineation of interpersonal relationships as the major criterion of cultural authenticity, this article examines three currently available children’s picturebooks set in the historical period between 1848 and 1885. In addition to exploring how Chinese Americans’ interpersonal relationships are portrayed in these children’s historical books, this article argues for more proactive inclusion of the diversity in selection of picturebooks.[[notice]]補正完

Heavy Meson Production at COSY - 11
The COSY-11 collaboration has measured the total cross section for the pp -->
pp eta-prime and pp --> pp eta reactions in the excess energy range from
Q = 1.5 MeV to Q = 23.6 MeV and from Q = 0.5 MeV to Q = 5.4 MeV,
respectively.
Measurements have been performed with the total luminosity of 73 nb^(-1) for
the pp --> pp eta reaction and 1360 nb^(-1) for the pp --> pp eta-prime one.
Recent results are presented and discussed.Comment: Invited talk at 4th International Conference on Physics at Storage

A Global Constraint for a Tractable Class of Temporal Optimization Problems
International audienceThis paper is originally motivated by an application where the objective is to generate a video summary, built using intervals extracted from a video source. In this application, the constraints used to select the relevant pieces of intervals are based on Allen's algebra. The best state-of-the-art results are obtained with a small set of ad hoc solution techniques, each specific to one combination of the 13 Allen's relations. Such techniques require some expertise in Constraint Programming. This is a critical issue for video specialists. In this paper, we design a generic constraint, dedicated to a class of temporal problems that covers this case study, among others. ExistAllen takes as arguments a vector of tasks, a set of disjoint intervals and any of the 2 13 combinations of Allen's relations. ExistAllen holds if and only if the tasks are ordered according to their indexes and for any task at least one relation is satisfied , between the task and at least one interval. We design a propagator that achieves bound-consistency in O(n + m), where n is the number of tasks and m the number of intervals. This propagator is suited to any combination of Allen's relations, without any specific tuning. Therefore, using our framework does not require a strong expertise in Constraint Programming. The experiments, performed on real data, confirm the relevance of our approach
