    Interruptions Produced by the Mollucan Students in the Fellowship Meeting

    This thesis is about a study of the interruptions produced by the Moluccan students in a fellowship meeting, consisting of fifteen students as the respondents, who are divided into two: the chairperson and the members. The purposes of the study are to know the tokens and the functions of interruptions used by the chairperson and the members of the meeting by considering social role as the social factor. The writer applies the theory of interruptions by Tannen (1990) and Wardhaugh (1985) as the main theories. Besides, the writer also uses the theory of social role by Johnstone (2008) and the theory of discourse markers by Schiffrin (2003) as the supporting theories. The writer used qualitative approach to conduct this research. The writer discovered that the chairperson produced more tokens (19) than the members (13). Moreover, the writer found that the respondents produced Ambonese tokens, such as “Hiii”, “Weee”, “Seng”, “Eee”, and Suroboyoan tokens, such as “Lho” and “Itulho”. Both the chairperson and the members produced “other” functions the most with 58.75% and 63.81%. In conclusion, social role influenced the interruptions and their functions, and the number of tokens produced by the participants

    Nutritional Dried Matter, Crude Protein and Crude Fiber on Lowland Tidal Grass Fermented by Probiotic Microorganisms for Use Bali Cattle Feed

    Abstract. This study was aimed to determine nutritional value of lowland tidal grass fermented by probiotic microorganisms. This study used a completely randomized design and investigated two factors, namely varieties of lowland tidal grass (kumpai tembaga (Ischaemum rugosum), kumpai minyak (Hymenachne amplexicaulis) and kumpai padi (Oryza rufipogon)) and probiotic microorganism concentration (0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9 percent). The following parameters were observed, including dried matter content, crude protein content and crude fiber content.  The results showed that the use of probiotics have significant effects on crude protein content and crude fiber content. In conclusion, the use of probiotics can improve the nutritional value of grass. The best result was obtained on kumpai tembaga grass (Ischaemum rugosum) fermented with 0.7% probiotic microorganism. Keywords: nutritional evaluation, lowland tidal grass, fermentation, probiotics microorgansms Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan nilai nutrisi rumput tidal dataran rendah yang difermentasi menggunakan mikroba probiotik. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dan mengamati dua faktor, yaitu varitas rumput tidal dataran rendah (kumpai tembaga (Ischaemum rugosum), kumpai minyak (Hymenachne amplexicaulis) dan kumpai padi (Oryza rufipogon)) dan mikroba probiotik (0,3; 0,5; 0,7 dan 0,9 persen). Parameter yang diamati meliputi kandungan bahan kering, protein kasar, dan serat kasar. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan probiotik memiliki pengaruh nyata terhadap kandungan protein kasar dan serat kasar. Dapat disumpulkan bahwa penggunaan probiotik dapat meningkatkan nilai nutrisi dari rumput. Hasil terbaik diperoleh pada rumput kumpai tembaga (Ischaemum rugosum) yang difermentasi menggunakan 0,7% mikroba probiotik. Kata kunci: evaluasi nutrisi, rumput tidal dataran rendah, fermentasi, mikroba probioti

    The wedding party for the Javanese community is the main event from a series of the wedding events. The wedding reception was held twice in the Javanese community. The reception was held by female (bride) family and male (groom) family. Every event of the wedding has a different ceremonial procession. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of behavioral changes in the Javanese community in organizing wedding receptions or party and the factors which influence the organization of the wedding reception. The subject of this study is Javanese society in Surakarta. This study was descriptive qualitative study and analyzed using behavioral sociological theory by BF Skinner and adapted theory by Robert K. Merton. The data collection in this study was used observation techniques involving 26 informants. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis technique used was an interactive analysis technique that consists of three components. Those are data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results of the study showed that there has been a change in the implementation of a traditional wedding reception in Javanese society. The changes are the result of the adjustment between the old traditions of Javanese culture and modern changes. The changes cannot be separated from the role of couple\u27s parents as organizers. The parent\u27s decisions in this event is a part of the parent\u27s response from the surrounding influences. The adjustments in organizing the reception is due to several factors including the change of parents\u27s mindset, the influence of the environment and others. The changes of series of processions in the wedding ceremony is a proof that Javanese society always changes following the times

    Analisa Pengaruh Pekerjaan itu sendiri, Kompensasi, Rekan Kerja dan Supervisi terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Karyawan di Restaurant Carnivor Steak & Grill SurabayaKarya tulis ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh pekerjaan itu sendiri, kompensasi, rekan kerja dan supervisi terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan di Restaurant Carnivor Steak & Grill Surabaya. Adapun yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini karena semakin menjamurnya kafe dan restoran serta gaya hidup baru orang Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan total jumlah 51 responden yang merupakan pegawai restoran Restaurant Carnivor Steak & Grill. Dengan menyebar kuesioner offline menggunakan alat bantu SPSS, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada Pekerjaan itu Sendiri, Kompensasi, Rekan Kerja dan Supervisi secara parsial maupun simultan memiliki pengaruh positif pada kepuasan kerja. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a total of 51 respondents who are employees of Restaurant Carnivor Steak & Grill. Using offline questionnaire and the SPSS, the study shows that at the work itself, compensation, co-workers and supervision partially and simultaneously have positive effect to job satisfaction

    Family business is a type of business which is most developed and dominant in the era of globalization. Family business becomes one of the factors that affect the economy of a country (Poza, 2010), as the existenceof family business that should be maintained. Most of the family businesses in Indonesia have not planned their succession well. This study aims to determine what processes are carried out by PT. Puterasean for companysuccession and also to find out the performance of the company after the succession. This study uses qualitative methods. The data used is primary data which is obtained through interviews. The data validity is tested usingtriangulation techniques. The results show that PT. Puterasean processes a succession through phases of activity that are: the choice of successor candidates, development, and learning prospective successor, involvingprospective successor in the company’s activities, evaluation and impact on the company’s successor. This study shows that the succession was going well and the involvement of the prospective successor had positiveimpact on the company as evidenced by the wide range of changes and improvement programs as well as increase the company’s revenue

    Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Pemilihan Lbb pada Kampung Inggris Pare Menggunakan Metode Ahp

    Kampung Inggris adalah sebuah tempat dimana banyak terdapat lembaga pengajaran bahasa Inggris yang terletak di desa Tulungrejo kecamatan Pare kabupaten Kediri. Jumlah calon pendaftar di sana sangat banyak dan proses penentuan LBB (Lembaga Bimbingan Belajar) yang dilakukan calon siswa di Kampung Inggris Pare saat ini masih dilakukan secara manual yaitu calon siswa datang ke LBB secara langsung dan mendaftar di LBB yang diinginkan. Hal ini menyebabkan lamanya proses yang diperlukan dalam penentuan LBB dan terkadang LBB yang dipilih tidak cocok dengan kebutuhan calon siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem pendukung keputusan pemilihan LBB pada Kampung Inggris Pare. Dengan sistem yang dibangun, dapat membuat proses penilaian dan pengambilan keputusan menjadi lebih mudah karena menggunakan metode AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) yaitu salah satu metode pengambilan keputusan untuk menentukan pilihan terbaik dari beberapa alternatif dengan beragam kriteria. Selain itu proses pendokumentasian data­data dari tiap LBB yang ter update dan dilakukan secara realtime. Hasil implementasi dari aplikasi ini berupa peringkat LBB di Kampung Inggris Pare berdasarkan data kualitatif beserta detail di setiap hitungannya untuk memberikan alternatif keputusan yang membantu calon siswa dalam melakukan pemilihan LBB di Kampung Inggris Pare
