Pengaruh Pra-Proses Perbaikan Kontras pada Hasil Pencarian Citra

Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana pengaruh perbaikan kontras citra menggunakan metode ekualisasi histogram (HE) dan ekualisasi histogram adaptif (AHE) pada hasil pencarian citra. Kedua metode ini merupakan bagian dari pra-proses citra. Proses ekstraksi fitur citra menggunakan fitur tekstur: mean, deviasi standar, entropi, energy, kontras, dan homogenitas. Pencarian citra dikerjakan dengan cara mencari fitur citra terdekat yang dimiliki oleh citra query dan data citra dengan menghitung jarak Euclidean. Hasil percobaan menggunakan 30 buah citra query dan 80 buah data citra menunjukan bahwa perenggangan kontras menggunakan metode ekualisasi histogram adaptif (AHE) memberikan hasil pencarian citra sedikit lebih baik yaitu 53,33%, dibandingkan dengan metode ekualisasi histogram (HE) yaitu 46,67%.)

Analisa Teknik Adaptive Histogram Equalization dan Contrast Stretching untuk Perbaikan Kualitas Citra

Citra dengan kualitas yang lebih baik akan memudahkan proses pengolahan selanjutnya. Penelitian ini akan melakukan analisa kinerja dua buah teknik yaitu ekualisasi histogram adaptif (Adaptive Histogram Equalization, AHE) dan perenggangan kontras (Contrast Stretching, CS). Kedua teknik ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas atau memperjelas objek pada citra. Teknik CS merupakan proses perbaikan citra melalui operasi titik sedangkan AHE melalui operasi spasial. Pada teknik AHE akan menggunakan 3 ukuran blok (sub-image) yaitu 2x2, 8x8, dan 16x16 piksel. Citra uji dalam format JPEG dengan ukuran bervariasi sebanyak 12 buah memiliki kualitas tampilan yang berbeda-beda. Citra uji memiliki sebuah atau beberapa objek yang tampak jelas atau tidak begitu jelas. Variasi tingkat keredupan, kecerahan, tekstur pada latar belakang dan tekstur pada objek dapat digunakan sebagai parameter pengujian perbaikan kualitas citra. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan pertimbangan dalam memilih metode perbaikan kualitas citra untuk praproses pengolahan citra. Hasil ekualisasi histogram adaptif belum dapat dikatakan lebih baik dari perenggangan kontras, atau sebaliknya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pengaruh kondisi atau komposisi citra asli. Pada ekualisasi histogram adaptif, ukuran blok (sub-image) 2x2 dapat digunakan untuk proses perbaikan kualitas citra dan semakin besar ukuran blok (> 8x8 piksel) mengakibatkan objek menjadi semakin terdistorsi

Pengaruh Pemberian Zink (Zn) Terhadap Kualitas Spermatozoa Wistar Jantan Dewasa (Rattus Norvegicus) Yang Diberikan Monosodium Glutamat (MSG)

: Zinc is a cofactor of more than 100 enzymes that are essential for the metabolism of nucleic acid and protein synthesis. Zinc plays an important role in growth and development, immune response, neurological and reproductive functions. Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is the sodium salt of glutamic acid , a food flavor enhancer in the form of L-glutamic acid. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of zinc on sperm quality adult male wistar (Rattus norvegicus), following administration of monosodium glutamate (MSG). This study is experimental with a completely randomized design were conducted from November to Desember 2014 using a sample of 6 male wistars as a control group (P0) with 2 mg MSG being administered. The P1 group consist of 2 male wistars with 2 mg of MSG and zinc at a dose of 10 mg as treatment were administered to this group. The last group P2 also consist of 2 male wistars with the administration 2 mg of MSG and 20 mg doses of zinc as treatment.This study results in an increasement of spermatozoa consentration in the treatment group (P2), accounted for 78,25x106 as well as the increased of spermatozoa motility of 43,5 % for the treadment group (P2). Morfologically, 83,5 % of normal spermatozoa were accounted from the same group. Conclusion: Administration of zinc can improve the quality of male wistar spermatozoa following the administration of MSG, which includes concentration, motility and morphology. The increasing dosage of zinc being administered showed higher impact in improving the quality of spermatozoa

: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is an inability to achieve an erection sufficient for intercourse with his partner which causes dissatisfaction for both of them. The etiology of ED is classified as psychogenic, organic, drug abuse, and also by post-surgery. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a disease caused by aging. BPH clinical signs usually appear in more than 50% of men aged ≥50 years. This was a survey-descriptive study with a cross sectional design. Samples were obtained by using purposive sampling technique. Respondents were patients at Efrata Adventist Clinic in Manado. The instrument in this study was modified IIEF-5 questionnaire. The results showed that based on the duration of BPH, respondents who suffered from BPH >3 years were as many as 75.0% and 3 years was classified as moderate
