    Corporate social responsibility of sports club in the era of coronavirus pandemic. ZagƂeRbie Sosnowiec case study

    The aim of the study is to identify, and present the CSR practices that have been, and are also currently being implemented by football clubs in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, it also strives to assess the impact of these practices on media coverage. The results of the research show that among the posts published by ZagƂeRbie Sosnowiec on social media platforms, such as their official Facebook profile, and the posts about the results of the matches, tend to achieve the greatest reach. However, on the contrary, posts presenting the ongoing CSR initiatives for the local community come tend to take a backseat, and are considered to be secondary. Furthermore, when it comes to other posts that are related to sports activities or personalities (footballers’ birthdays, match previews and information about sponsors), their reach does not tend to differ. From an empirical point of view, this study proves that CSR activities are an imperative element of building relationships with the club’s stakeholders

    Development and characterization of 20 microsatellite markers in spotted sea bass (<em>Lateolabrax maculatus</em>) and cross-amplification in related species

    The spotted sea bass (Lateolabrax maculatus) is an economically valuable cultured fish species in China. In this study, 20 novel polymorphic microsatellite loci of L. maculatus were isolated from genomic data and characterized using 40 wild individuals. The number of alleles and the effective number of alleles ranged from 2 to 12 (average of 5.1000) and from 1.180 to 8.000 (average of 3.3097). The observed and expected heterozygosities ranged from 0.083 to 0.875 (average of 0.4405) and from 0.153 to 0.875 (average of 0.5633), respectively. Deviation from the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium was observed in 11 loci (P Lates calcarifer, achieved successful amplification of 16 primers.     Triptolide modulates adriamycin sensitivity via regulating Mir-21 and Bcl-2 expression in K562/A02 cell line

    Drug resistance is a major obstacle for successful treatment of leukemia. Increasing evidence suggests that microRNA-21 (miR-21) is over-expressed in K562/A02 cell line, promoting drug resistance. The aim of our present study is to investigate the reversal effects of triptolide on drug resistance in adriamycin-resistant cells. Cell viability was measured by MTT assays and adriamycin induced apoptosis was evaluated by flow cytometry. Levels of miR-21 quantified by real-time PCR. Bcl-2 protein level were measured by western blot. TPL enhanced sensitivity of K562/A02 cells to adriamycin and promoted adriamycin–induced apoptosis. Levels of miR-21 and Bcl-2 was significantly decreased after triptolide treatment. Transfection with anti-miR-21, a significant up-regulation of sensitivity to adriamycin and a significant down-regulation of Bcl-2 protein level was noted in K562/A02 cells. Our study suggests that triptolide significantly sensitizes K562/A02 cell to adriamycin by inducing apoptosis and these effects of triptolide may be due to its down-regulation of miR-21.Colegio de FarmacĂ©uticos de la Provincia de Buenos Aire

In this paper, we present novel Mn-Ce codoped V2O5/TiO2 catalyst which exhibited an excellent NO conversion efficiency of 90% at 140°C. By using this codoped catalyst, the best low-temperature activity was greatly decreased when compared with single Mn- or Ce-doped catalyst. According to the characterization results from BET, XRD, and XPS, the codoped catalyst was composed of both CeO2 and amorphous Mn. The electron circulation formed between doping elements is believed to promote the electron transfer, which may be one of the reasons for excellent low-temperature denitration performance

    3-D electrical structure and tectonic dynamics in the Yangbajing area based on the array magnetotelluric data

    The well-known N-S-trending fault in the Yangbajing area plays a crucial role in the tectonic evolution of the Tibetan Plateau. Previous researches on a few E-W geophysical profiles suggested that the eastern shear at the base of the upper crust and/or lithosphere deformation brought on by asthenosphere upwelling are the major causes of the Yadong-Gulu rift’s creation. Here we propose a 3-D electrical resistivity model derived from the magnetotelluric (MT) array data spanning the Yadong-Gulu rift (YGR), and the distribution of temperature and melt fraction is estimated by the experimental calibrated relationships bridging electrical conductivity and temperature/melt fraction. The result reveals that the Indian slab subducted steeply in the east of the Yadong-Gulu rift, while Indian slab may have delaminated with a flat subduction angle in the west. The temperature distribution shows that the upper mantle of the northern Lhasa terrane is hotter than that of the southern Lhasa terrane. This is likely the result of mantle upwelling caused by either the subduction of the Indian slab or thickened Tibetan lithosphere delamination. Moreover, the strength of the mid-lower crust is so low that it may meet the conditions of the local crust flow in the west-east direction. The local crustal flow and the pulling force from the upwelling asthenosphere jointly contributed to the formation of the Yadong-Gulu rift. These main factors exist in different stages of the evolution of the Yadong-Gulu rift

    LC–MS-Based Urine Metabolomics Analysis for the Diagnosis and Monitoring of Medulloblastoma

    Medulloblastoma (MB) is the most common type of brain cancer in pediatric patients. Body fluid biomarkers will be helpful for clinical diagnosis and treatment. In this study, liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS)-based metabolomics was used to identify specific urine metabolites of MB in a cohort, including 118 healthy controls, 111 MB patients, 31 patients with malignant brain cancer, 51 patients with benign brain disease, 29 MB patients 1 week postsurgery and 80 MB patients 1 month postsurgery. The results showed an apparent separation for MB vs. healthy controls, MB vs. benign brain diseases, and MB vs. other malignant brain tumors, with AUCs values of 0.947/0.906, 0.900/0.873, and 0.842/0.885, respectively, in the discovery/validation group. Among all differentially identified metabolites, 4 metabolites (tetrahydrocortisone, cortolone, urothion and 20-oxo-leukotriene E4) were specific to MB. The analysis of these 4 metabolites in pre- and postoperative MB urine samples showed that their levels returned to a healthy state after the operation (especially after one month), showing the potential specificity of these metabolites for MB. Finally, the combination of two metabolites, tetrahydrocortisone and cortolone, showed diagnostic accuracy for distinguishing MB from non-MB, with an AUC value of 0.851. Our data showed that urine metabolomics might be used for MB diagnosis and monitoring

    A large population of strongly lensed faint submillimetre galaxies in future dark energy surveys inferred from JWST imaging

    Bright galaxies at sub-millimetre wavelengths from Herschel are now well known to be predominantly strongly gravitationally lensed. The same models that successfully predicted this strongly lensed population also predict about one percent of faint 450Ό450{\mu}m-selected galaxies from deep JCMT surveys will also be strongly lensed. Follow-up ALMA campaigns have so far found one potential lens candidate, but without clear compelling evidence e.g. from lensing arcs. Here we report the discovery of a compelling gravitational lens system confirming the lensing population predictions, with a zs=3.4±0.4z_{s} = 3.4 {\pm} 0.4 submm source lensed by a zspec=0.360z_{spec} = 0.360 foreground galaxy within the COSMOS field, identified through public JWST imaging of a 450Ό450{\mu}m source in the SCUBA-2 Ultra Deep Imaging EAO Survey (STUDIES) catalogue. These systems will typically be well within the detectable range of future wide-field surveys such as Euclid and Roman, and since sub-millimetre galaxies are predominantly very red at optical/near-infrared wavelengths, they will tend to appear in near-infrared channels only. Extrapolating to the Euclid-Wide survey, we predict tens of thousands of strongly lensed near-infrared galaxies. This will be transformative for the study of dusty star-forming galaxies at cosmic noon, but will be a contaminant population in searches for strongly lensed ultra-high-redshift galaxies in Euclid and Roman.Comment: 8 pages; 4 figures; 4 tables; submitted to MNRA
