Expression of CD40 by the cells of benign and malignant breast tumors and antitumor action of autologous lymphocytes against chemoresistant and chemosensitive tumors
Aim: To study the expression of CD40 by cells of benign and malignant tumors of mammary gland, and to compare the efficacy of lymphocytes antitumor activity against drug resistant and sensitive breast tumors in relevance to CD40 expression. Methods: Breast tumor explants were cultured with autologous lymphocytes in double diffusion chambers. The results were evaluated by morphological criteria of explants growth. Expression level of molecules on tumor cells was analyzed using immunohistochemical method (paraffin embedded slides), and on lymphocytes β by the method of indirect immunofluorescence. Results: The highest level of CD40 expression was detected on cells of chemoresistant malignant breast tumors, and the lowest one β on cells of benign breast tumors. The decreased CD40 expression on lymphocytes from patients with drug resistant breast cancer was compared with that on lymphocytes of the patients with drug sensitive breast cancer. The study of antitumor activity of autologous lymphokine activated killer cells (LAK) has shown their pronounced antitumor activity against drug resistant malignant breast tumors. Medico-biological laboratories in Russian institutes of higher medical education do not support effectively the educational process. Searching of universal criteria and requirements to modeling of a virtual medico-biological laboratory is actual for medical education. Medico-biological laboratories in Russian institutes of higher medical education do not support effectively the educational process. The article is devoted to the development of Russian-Egyptian relations in terms of intercivilizational dialogue; there are analyzed the dynamics of their development in various historical epochs as well as the factors that have had decisive influence on the nature of the bilateral interaction. The globalization processes in which the modern world lives are shaking all the models of national and cultural identity that have developed over many centuries. These processes jeopardize the existence of the peoples, nations and cultures in their present form. In these conditions the interethnic cultural dialogue acquires special significance. This article is devoted to the consideration of a similar dialogue between Russian and Egyptian cultures in which political, economic, cultural, scientific and spiritual ties played and continue to play a special role. The ideas of Leo Tolstoy, M. Gorky and other Russian writers got in Egypt a special popularity and had a significant impact on progressive minds of the Egyptian intelligentsia as well as on the Egyptian literature. Although Arab, in particular Egyptian historians and public figures for a long time considered Russia as part of the West, after the October revolution of 1917 in Russia the Soviet state began to be perceived as a force that opposes the materialistic West. From the fifties of the 20th century, the military-technical and economic cooperation with the USSR, subsequently with Russia is of great importance for Egypt. The Language and Cultural Policy of the Middle East and Northern Africa Countries Within the Framework of Educational Development and Multiculturalism: The Case of Jordan and Morocco
The study analyzes the language and cultural policy of the Middle East and Northern Africa countries within the framework of educational development and multiculturalism (the case of Jordan and Morocco), as well as the resulting priority directions of their language policy aimed at preserving Standard Arabic as a symbol of national identity. The object of the study is the language policy of the leading Arab countries exemplified by Jordan and Morocco. The main purpose of the study is to analyze the unique experience of the Arab states in this area. The research methods include the complex ethno-linguistic method, discourse analysis, the comparative method, the quantitative analysis method, case-study, the historical method and the linguo-didactic method. The research is based on the theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific literature, the study of information and analytical materials of periodicals and Internet websites, their scientific systematization, scientific description of the resulting data etc. The conclusions of the study are of great practical importance, as they show that the ongoing globalization process has become a catalyst for exacerbating the problem of preserving national identity, one of the core aspects of which is the issue of preserving and developing national languages
