Construction and validation of the inventory of addiction awareness (ICE-A)

The development of an addiction considerably damages physical health, social functioning, and quality of life; however, people with substance use disorders act as if they were unaware of how drug and alcohol use contribute to their difficulties. This is one of the main reasons why they fail to address the problem and remain in a self-destructive spiral. The aim of this study was to construct and validate a diagnostic questionnaire for detecting an individual's level of awareness of drug use, its consequences, and associated illnesses. Three sequential phases were carried out: theoretical (construction and production of adequately worded items), experimental (administration of the questionnaire to a sample of 124 patients with a substance use disorder), and analytical (factor analysis, temporal and internal reliability, discriminant validity, and sensitivity to change during treatment). The ICE-A showed a one-dimensional structure (all the items that make up the questionnaire measure a single variable that can be presented as a total score), an adequate level of internal consistency, and high temporal stability over a 1-month period. The scores obtained by the subjects at 12 months of treatment were significantly higher than those obtained by the same subjects at 6 months of treatment. This questionnaire could allow therapists to monitor the psychotherapeutic processes and outcomes of their addicted patients, assuming that the greater their awareness of their disease, the greater their self-care and improvement

Gestión del tiempo en el aula, en las asignaturas de lenguaje y matemática

Tesis (Magíster en Dirección y Liderazgo para la Gestión Educacional)La presente investigación tiene por objetivo describir la gestión del tiempo en el aula, de docentes de enseñanza básica, de las asignaturas de Lenguaje y Matemática de un colegio particular subvencionado de la comuna de San Miguel, Santiago. Comienza realizando una introducción con respecto a las razones que lleva al grupo a preocuparse de este tema en particular; luego se plantea la pregunta que nos guía, y los objetivos que se busca lograr. Luego se realiza una revisión bibliográfica en la cual se definen conceptos que están presentes en el tema como: gestión, tiempo, gestión curricular, la relación de la gestión y el aprendizaje, el concepto de aprendizaje significativo; los alcances del Marco para la Buena Enseñanza en relación al quehacer profesional en el aula. A continuación se describen las metodologías para recabar información y la manera en que se aplicarán los instrumentos de recogida de datos. Al final aparecen los resultados, conclusiones, los anexos con los instrumentos utilizados y referencias documentales.This research aims to describe time management in the classroom, teachers of basic education in the subjects of Lang uage and Mathematics of a subsidized prívate school in the district of Sa n Miguel , Santiago. Started doing an introduction about the reasons leading the group to worry about this particular issue , then the question arises that guides us , and the goals it seeks to achieve . A literature review in which concepts are present in the subject as defined is then performed : management, time, currículum management , relationship management and learning, the concept of meaningful learning , the scope of the Framework for Good Teaching in relation to professional work in the classroom. The following describes the methodologies to gather information and how that data collection instruments will apply.
