A Preliminary Study of the Emerging and Developing Stock Market of China

The Chinese share market as an emerging and fast-growing listing venue has experienced a significant development since 2000.Prior studies on this market overwhelmingly concentrate on IPO-pricing-related and post-IPO performance-based propositions with lagging data. Adopting the updated data within the last couple of years, this paper comprehensively explores and accounts for some striking features of the Chinese stock market, and unfolds some new causes contributing to these characteristics.Some new findings are revealed. 1) Two new factors may lead to the extreme under pricing in China’s market, which are the unseasoned investor sand their high demands of IPO shares. 2) The foreign-currency trading platform is not effective and efficient to attract the overseas investors. 3) The imbalanced industry structure of the listed firms is very significant, the Chinese share market is dominated by the manufacturing firms.4) The Growth Enterprise Market of China is essential to address the long-standing financing difficulties for the Chinese Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, which are unqualified to raise capital from the Primary Stock Market

Explanation of Superluminal Phenomena Based on Wave-Particle Duality and Proposed Optical Experiments

We suggest an explanation for superluminal phenomena based on wave-particle duality of photons. A single photon may be regarded as a wave packet, whose spatial extension is its coherence volume. As photon propagates as a wave train, its velocity is just the speed of light in vacuum. When it tunnels through a barrier as a particle, its wave function collapses and it travels faster than light. But superluminal propagation can only occur within the coherence length, and the duration is constrained by uncertainty principle. On the other hand, a particle with non-vanishing mass cannot travel faster than light. So superluminal phenomena do not violate causality. We explain the principles of existing superluminal experiments and propose three types of experiments to further verify superluminal phenomena. The first is to show that a single photon is equivalent to a wave packet, which occupies certain spatial volume. The second demonstrates that superluminal phenomena can only occur within the coherence length. An Empirical Research about Xinjiang Minority College Students’ Value Recognition in Inner-Mainland's Universities of China

In order to understand value recognition deeply, the research was taken to 1128 Xingjiang minority college students in inner-mainland 36 universities of China by the questionnaire with five dimensions which political value, moral value, cultural psychology, language stress and environmental stress. The result showed that there was an order tendency in their values, in order, cultural psychology, moral values, political values, language stress and environmental stress. At the same time, there are gander differences. Male and female college students do not exist significant differences in cultural psychology and moral value dimensions. But the differences being in the political values, language stress and environmental stress. Xinjiang minority college students are fundamentally the same as Han nationality students in political values and moral values, but obvious differences in cultural psychology, language stress and environmental stress
