(Una) meditació nishidiana

According to Nishida, the logic of subject neither allows a proper treatment of the problem of completeness nor eliminates the Cartesian anxiety. He proposes therefore its replacement by the logic of predicate, here understood as a place (basho) which, in the end, turns out to be nothingness. After considering the difficulty of translating Japanese to European languages and its ability to allow a nonsubstantive treatment of mind, a consideration is offered of the solution of those problems by the new logic. This logic would make feasible the expression of a rational mysticism in line with the middle way school and zen, which is compatible with a naturalist solution of the same problems. Mites i imatges a la filosofia de Sellars

Sellars introduí la distinció entre les imatges manifesta i científica de l'home en el món. Encara que a primera vista siguin incompatibles, ambdues són indefugibles, de manera que la tasca del filòsof ha de ser intentar fusionar-les. Sellars també creu que el «mite d'allò donat» és un dels principals errors comunament acceptats en la filosofia moderna. Paradoxalment, emperò, usa el seu propi mite, el «mite de Jones», per matar el «mite d'allò donat». Aquestes dues temàtiques sellarsianes han estat molt influents i àmpliament discutides, però no s'ha prestat gaire atenció a la seua mútua relació. En aquest article intento elaborar una mena de meta-mite que incorpori les intuïcions que trobem en cadascuna d'elles.Sellars introduced his distinction between the manifest and scientific images of man in the world. Catalan volcanic field, in Iberian Peninsula Northeast, has been made during Neogene and Quaternary. It is made up Empordà, la Selva and la Garrotxa Zones, the best volcanic morphology is in the last one because is the most recent. In this paper we explain the volcanic rocks general characteristics, what eruption activity generate it and the final volcanic edifice morphology.
