El proyecto fin de Grado constituye una ocasión única para que el alumno pueda aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos durante la carrera al desarrollo de un trabajo de investigación que pueda ser el germen de futuros desarrollos profesionales en el marco de la emprendiduría. Presentamos aquí el trabajo de un alumno de la escuela de Sevilla que mereció la calificación de matrícula de honor en la convocatoria de septiembre de 2014 y que aborda el desarrollo de un prototipo construido con materiales procedentes de reciclado, de bajo coste y fácil construcción que puede ser útil como alojamiento provisional para catástrofes, transformarse en vivienda de realojo para familias humildes, o simplemente emplearse en cabañas de vacaciones para campings o alojamientos rurales

El proyecto fin de grado: emprendiduria's opportunity

En este artículo se pone de manifiesto la oportunidad de convertir los proyectos fin de grado en una iniciación a la investigación y un proyecto de emprendiduría. El siguiente estudio tiene como objeto el diseño de un alojamiento temporal para emergencias, ya sea por catástrofes naturales o por conflictos bélicos, realizado con un material novedoso en el mercado. Se diseña un prototipo que posee las características esenciales que se demandan para este tipo de situaciones. Que se construya de manera rápida para alojar al mayor número de personas lo antes posible, que sea barato para permitir la compra por los gobiernos, que permita la reutilización y no se generen residuos, es decir que se puede reciclar el material una vez finalizado el problema o adaptar para ser vivienda habitual. Posteriormente se desarrolla el alojamiento en profundidad junto con el mobiliario para que pueda ser habitado por parejas, jóvenes, personas que cambian de residencia por temas laborales de manera frecuente, personas con pocos recursos económicos o que quieran disfrutar de una vivienda por un precio asequible y menor que las viviendas tradicionales.This article expresses the opportunity in turning final projects into the beginnings of an investigation and entrepreneurial project.The objective of the following study is the design of temporary accommodations for emergencies, be it because of natural causes or war, built with innovative materials in the market. A prototype that possesses these essential characteristics needed for these types of situations is designed. Constructed quickly to take in the most amounts of people in the least amount of time possible, inexpensive to allow the purchase of governments does not allow reuse and does not generate waste, in other words, the materials can be recycled once the problem has ended or adapt it to become regular housing. Afterwards, the accommodations are developed in depth along with the furnishings so it may be occupied by couples, young people or others who change residence for work-related reasons frequently, people with low income or that would like to enjoy a house for an affordable price and lower than traditional housing

Design of an innovative learning experience for the final project of the building engineering degree

This essay presents the bases for a new teaching methodology for the Final Project of the Degree of Building Engineering. The aim of this methodology is to approach students to advanced forms of work in architectural and engineering offices by employing Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies. This initiative has been funded within the Call 2011 for Teaching Research Incentives ofthe I Teaching Plan of the University of Seville. Following the guidelines of the European Higher Education Area, the learning experience designed has to enable the future Building Engineers to acquire specific and generic competences ascribed to the Final Project in the Verification Report of the Building Engineering Degree. The specific competence “E71. Presentation and defence before a university board of a final project, consisting of an integration exercise of the formative contents received and skills acquired through t he degree” is trained by the development of a building execution project with the use of BIM technologies. For a decade, architecture and engineering offices have increasingly been incorporating in their projects new tools for information processing in digital integrated systems, i.e. programs which allow the construction of building virtual models in three dimensions, and the identification of their constructive components, providing them with parametric dimensions. The operating capacity of BIM programs is stronger than that of 2D drawing programs, since they can manage and generate all the technical documentation in an integrated way. As far as the generic competences are concerned, the problem is that the Final Project has ascribed twenty four competences and their training and evaluation throughout a single term, which seems rather unattainable. In order to solve this matter, the four most important generic competences of Building Engineers have been identified according to their professional profile: “G01. Capacity for organization and planning”, “G06. Information management skills”, “G09. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team” and “G13. Positive social attitude towards social and technological innovations”. The use of BIM technologies and collaborative work methodologies allow the training of these genericcompetences. Finally, assessment matrixes of the five competences involved have been established with the descriptors of the assessment indicators for each of their corresponding criteria at each level of student achievement. This study is limited to the design of the experience; its implementation could be carried out in the first term of the 2012/2013 academic year, provided the main pre-requisite are met by students, and command of BIM programs such as ALLPLAN, REVIT or ARCHICAD, is achieved.
