Photogrammetric modelling for urban medieval site mapping. A case study from Curtea de Argeş, Romania
Detailed mapping of urban historical sites superposed on natural landforms within built-up areas is a real
challenge. Digital photogrammetric techniques meet the requirements for mapping archaeological sites within dense
built-up areas. The objectives are to reveal the landform value in medieval site development and to analyse its impact
on the landforms. The aim of the present study is to highlight the contribution of geomatics technologies for the evaluation
and preservation of historical sites using UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) imagery and field photos for 3D modelling.
Curtea de Argeş medieval site, established on Argeş River terraces and attested since the 13th century, represents
the town core for which the specific methodology was applied
Aspects of Risk Factors in Two Digital Art Festivals
The present study aims to highlight some risk factors in staging two digital art festivals, from the perspective of the organizers and of the audience. We corroborated the results of two questionnaires that were used following the 2018 editions of the Electro Arts Festival, centred on organizing artistic events resulted from the alignment of technology with visual images, music and dance, and Clujotronic, which included experimental and interdisciplinary installations projects with electronic music, visual art and independent digital games. Statistical correlations were found in the different types of risks and their triggering factors; the results indicated the interdependence between the two perspectives in assessing the events in question
Perceptions on the Managerial Competencies Needed in the Organization of Festivals: Case Study
Art festivals have a significant importance in the development of a local community, being a factor
of cultural and social cohesion, a platform for interaction between those who share the same cultural
values. The purpose of this research is to identify the managerial competencies needed by festival
organizers, being known that performance in the organization is given by the existence of cognitive
skills, emotional and social intelligence. The study conducted on several festivals organized in Cluj,
Romania involved carrying out an exploratory and descriptive research, through a pre-existing
questionnaire, on the competencies and roles that organizers must have from a professional
standpoint. The results showed an approximately identical perception of the two groups in assessing
the skills of emotional intelligence and empathy, managers and artists, a different one in terms of
cognitive skills and the dimensions ordered by the number of mentions highlighted the need to
professionalize the competencies

The Influence of Friction Forces in Metal Powders Compaction Process of Stainless Steel 316L
The purpose of this study is to determine as precisely the influence of friction in the compaction of powders, and "conversion" of it, increasing densification.
The process is intended to be used in the compaction of hard deformable materials, which increased to approximately 90% densification required very high compaction pressures. These pressures are high, significant wear of the tools produce the compaction and thereby increasing production costs of finished parts from metal powders
NATURE-BASED SUBURBAN LEISURE OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE ORADEA METROPOLITAN AREA
Over the past 15 years, the periurban area in the proximity of Oradea has been accredited as a place of great attraction for the urbanites eager to move to the countryside, taking advantage of the natural resources, numerically generous and possessing an ecological quality. On such a background, these urbanites or tourists have come into contact and continue to discover these natural resources from the point of view of their new qualities, namely people motivated to do thematic tourism. This study seeks to know in detail the potential of the 11 communes and their related villages in the Oradea Metropolitan Area (OMA) and what they provide for weekend-type activities or forms of tourism based on discovery and leisure. The researched area has various natural resources, but diversity is configured according to the environment and morpho-hydrography specific for the hilly, plain and hilly-plain contact area relief. The inventory of local resources (8 categories) prone to nature-based tourism is dominated by protected areas, rivers and lakes for fishing, deciduous forests and associated hay fields as well as the hilly relief in the eastern part of the area. The expression of the attractiveness of local nature for leisure tourism is given by the attractiveness index, which at the OMA level is 87.47 points, with an encouraging maximum of 11.67 points (out of a maximum of 25 points). The detail of the distribution and the natural resources attraction weight can be found in the four thematic maps
A QUALITATIVE EVALUATION ON SOP HRD 2007-2013 IN ROMANIA - FOCUS-GROUP STUDY
This paper seeks to underline the main problems faced in implementing and using European Union (EU) funds in Romania within the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development (SOP HRD) during the first programing period 2007-2013. The problems and barriers revealed were identified during a focus-group for the second interim evaluation of SOPHRD, organized by the Management Authority of this program in Nord-Vest region, in November 2014. The focus-group represents a small part of the entire process of evaluating the programme for the development of human resources during its implementation, with the purpose of finding beneficiaries opinions about the efficiency, effectiveness and relevance of interventions financed through SOP HRD. Beliefs, personal recommendations from the participants are presented in order to improve the use of European funds for development of human resources (in particular) and the use of structural instruments (in general). These results and solutions can be efficiently used during the next financial period 2014-2020 to create the framework for every priority axis and key areas of intervention, during the implementation of new projects and within the entire process that these funds require in order to successfully use the structural instruments to catch up with developed countries. Moreover, some of the problems identified can be found in other operational programmes and therefore, this research can be useful for every one that wants to use this kind of financing or has a project of this kind in implementation, without taking into account the European funding source. Besides the qualitative approach given by focus-group research method, this paper is going to present a general approach over SOP HRD in Romania during 2007-2013, from a quantitative perspective (number of projects submitted, approved, contracted, payment rate, absorption rate). Moreover solutions linked to knowledge management practices will be proposed to overcome identified problems in using structural and cohesion funds. We choose to focus our attention on knowledge management solutions due to the fact that we can say that we are now living in a knowledge age. This research is important by connecting knowledge management/knowledge sharing practices with the management of European funds
