    Get PDF
Purpose: According to the disorder in circulation commuting and crossover commuting of SF company which is the China’s largest private express delivery service provider, the study uses the Saving Algorithm to make the vehicle routing and resources optimized, on this basis, proposes innovative improvements with Saving Algorithm and then applies it in every distribution center of SF forming a "multi-dynamic" type of Saving Algorithm to ensure both cost savings and timeliness. This method can be generalized for all express company to get the vehicle routing optimized. Design/methodology/approach: As the special transportation requirements of express companies, this study optimizes the vehicle route based on Saving Algorithm, uses multiple-dynamic Saving Algorithm, and considers the timeliness requirements of the express company to achieve a balance of cost and timeliness. Findings: The main finding is that a new method proposed which there can be a balance improvement for both cost and timeliness to optimize the vehicle route of express company. Calculation example validates the effectiveness of the model established and solving method. Practical implications: It is a widespread practice that by setting up model and parameters for the objectives, express company can maintain the balances between cost and timeliness and achieve the optimized vehicle route. Originality/value: It proposes innovative improvements, takes SF express company as an example, with Saving Algorithm which can be applied in every distribution center of express company to ensure the balance improvement for both cost and timeliness, and has a great practical significance to the transportation network and path optimization of express companies.Peer Reviewe

Influence of Substrate Wettability on Colloidal Assembly

    Get PDF
In this paper, we presented a detailed discussion about the influence of the substrate wettability on the colloidal assembly and the resultant functionality of the films. It covers the basic assembly principle for colloidal crystals, the basic understanding of the substrate wettability on colloidal assembly, and the detailed explanation of the influence by give a full examples of various assembly from the substrate with distinct wettability, such as superhydrophilic, hydrophilic, hydrophobic, superhydrophobic and hydrophilic-hydrophobic pattern substrate

Existence of Solutions for the Evolution -Laplacian Equation Not in Divergence Form

    Get PDF
The existence of weak solutions is studied to the initial Dirichlet problem of the equation =div(|∇|()−2∇), with inf ()>2. We adopt the method of parabolic regularization. After establishing some necessary uniform estimates on the approximate solutions, we prove the existence of weak solutions

miR‐155 promotes macrophage pyroptosis induced by Porphyromonas gingivalis through regulating the NLRP3 inflammasome

ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to detect pyroptosis in macrophages stimulated with Porphyromonas gingivalis and elucidate the mechanism by which P. gingivalis induces pyroptosis in macrophages.MethodsThe immortalized human monocyte cell line U937 was stimulated with P. gingivalis W83. Flow cytometry was carried out to detect pyroptosis in macrophages. The expression of miR‐155 was detected by real‐time PCR and inhibited using RNAi. Suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) 1, cleaved GSDMD, caspase (CAS)‐1, caspase‐11, apoptosis‐associated speck‐like protein (ASC), and NOD‐like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) were detected by Western blotting, and IL‐1β and IL‐18 were detected by ELISA.ResultsThe rate of pyroptosis in macrophages and the expression of miR‐155 increased upon stimulation with P. gingivalis and pyroptosis rate decreased when miR‐155 was silenced. GSDMD‐NT, CAS‐11, CAS‐1, ASC, NLRP3, IL‐1β, and IL‐18 levels increased, but SOCS1 decreased in U937 cells after stimulated with P. gingivalis. These changes were weakened in P. gingivalis‐stimulated U937 macrophages transfected with lentiviruses carrying miR‐155 shRNA compared to those transfected with non‐targeting control sequence. However, there was no significant difference in ASC expression between P. gingivalis‐stimulated shCont and shMiR‐155 cells.ConclusionsPorphyromonas gingivalis promotes pyroptosis in macrophages during early infection. miR‐155 is involved in this process through regulating the NLRP3 inflammasome.Peer Reviewedhttps://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/152887/1/odi13198_am.pdfhttps://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/152887/2/odi13198.pd

Experimental Progress on Layered Topological Semimetals

We review recent experimental progresses on layered topological materials, mainly focusing on transitional metal dichalcogenides with various lattice types including 1T, Td and 1T' structural phases. Their electronic quantum states are interestingly rich, and many appear to be topological nontrivial, such as Dirac/Weyl semimetallic phase in multilayers and quantum spin hall insulator phase in monolayers. The content covers recent major advances from material synthesis, basic characterizations, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements, transport and optical responses. Following those, we outlook the exciting future possibilities enabled by the marriage of topological physics and two dimensional van der Waals layered heterostructures.Comment: 2D Materials (2019
