    STM32-based music player design

    This design mainly studies the music player based on STM32 microcontroller, among them, the STM32F103C8T6 single_x005fchip microcomputer is mainly used, LCD1602 monitor, LM386 power amplifi er module, blue and white potentiometer, XY-V7B serial port controls the voice module, TF card, horn, KEY button. In addition to the hardware, software is required for system control. Finally, the mode of combining software and hardware is used, implementation status display, play music, music switching, the function of volume up and down. The chapter contains detailed information on various software and hardware and how to use them, this design optimizes the excessive display articulation, make the function more user-friendly, closer to the aspect of convenience and cost-eff ectiveness, it provides a more convenient way for music players

    Postoperative Radiotherapy and N2 Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Prognosis: A Retrospective Study Based on Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Database

    The purpose of this study is to clarify the significance of postoperative radiotherapy for N2 lung cancer. This study aimed to investigate the effect of postoperative radiotherapy on the survival and prognosis of patients with N2 lung cancer. Data from 12,000 patients with N2 lung cancer were extracted from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database (2004-2012). Age at disease onset and 5-year survival rates were calculated. Survival curves were plotted using the Kaplan-Meier method. The univariate log-rank test was performed. Multivariate Cox regression were used to examine factors affecting survival. Patients’ median age was 67 years (mean 66.46 ± 10.03). The 5-year survival rate was 12.55%. Univariate analysis revealed age, sex, pathology, and treatment regimen as factors affecting prognosis. In multivariate analysis, when compared to postoperative chemotherapy, postoperative chemoradiotherapy was better associated with survival benefits (hazard ratio [HR]= 0.85, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.813-0.898, P <0.001). Propensity score matching revealed that patients who had received postoperative chemoradiotherapy had a better prognosis than did patients who had received postoperative chemotherapy (HR=0.869, 95% CI: 0.817-0.925, P <0.001). Female patients and patients aged <65 years had a better prognosis than did their counterparts. Patients with adenocarcinoma had a better prognosis than did patients with squamous cell carcinoma. Moreover, prognosis worsened with increasing disease T stage. Patients who had received postoperative chemoradiotherapy had a better prognosis than did patients who had received postoperative chemotherapy. Postoperative radiotherapy was an independent prognostic factor in this patient group

    Band Structure Engineering of Interfacial Semiconductors Based on Atomically Thin Lead Iodide Crystals

    To explore new constituents in two-dimensional materials and to combine their best in van der Waals heterostructures, are in great demand as being unique platform to discover new physical phenomena and to design novel functionalities in interface-based devices. Herein, PbI2 crystals as thin as few-layers are first synthesized, particularly through a facile low-temperature solution approach with the crystals of large size, regular shape, different thicknesses and high-yields. As a prototypical demonstration of flexible band engineering of PbI2-based interfacial semiconductors, these PbI2 crystals are subsequently assembled with several transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers. The photoluminescence of MoS2 is strongly enhanced in MoS2/PbI2 stacks, while a dramatic photoluminescence quenching of WS2 and WSe2 is revealed in WS2/PbI2 and WSe2/PbI2 stacks. This is attributed to the effective heterojunction formation between PbI2 and these monolayers, but type I band alignment in MoS2/PbI2 stacks where fast-transferred charge carriers accumulate in MoS2 with high emission efficiency, and type II in WS2/PbI2 and WSe2/PbI2 stacks with separated electrons and holes suitable for light harvesting. Our results demonstrate that MoS2, WS2, WSe2 monolayers with very similar electronic structures themselves, show completely distinct light-matter interactions when interfacing with PbI2, providing unprecedent capabilities to engineer the device performance of two-dimensional heterostructures.Comment: 36 pages, 5 figure

    Going the Extra Mile in Face Image Quality Assessment:A Novel Database and Model

    An accurate computational model for image quality assessment (IQA) benefits many vision applications, such as image filtering, image processing, and image generation. Although the study of face images is an important subfield in computer vision research, the lack of face IQA data and models limits the precision of current IQA metrics on face image processing tasks such as face superresolution, face enhancement, and face editing. To narrow this gap, in this paper, we first introduce the largest annotated IQA database developed to date, which contains 20,000 human faces -- an order of magnitude larger than all existing rated datasets of faces -- of diverse individuals in highly varied circumstances. Based on the database, we further propose a novel deep learning model to accurately predict face image quality, which, for the first time, explores the use of generative priors for IQA. By taking advantage of rich statistics encoded in well pretrained off-the-shelf generative models, we obtain generative prior information and use it as latent references to facilitate blind IQA. The experimental results demonstrate both the value of the proposed dataset for face IQA and the superior performance of the proposed model.Comment: Appearing in IEEE TM

    Ginsenosides Rg1 from Panax ginseng

    Acute liver failure (ALF) is a rapidly progressing critical illness with a high mortality rate. Circulating inflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), play a significant role in the pathophysiology of ALF through promoting hepatocellular apoptosis. Ginsenoside Rg1, the primary active ingredient in Panax ginseng (also termed Asian or Korean ginseng), has been reported to inhibit TNF-α production and has been shown to significantly attenuate liver fibrosis development. Here, we assessed ginsenoside Rg1’s potential as a therapy for ALF by investigating the effect of ginsenoside Rg1 treatment on circulating inflammatory markers, hepatocellular apoptosis, and relevant apoptotic signaling pathways in a well-established murine ALF model. We found that ginsenoside Rg1 significantly reduces liver damage in a murine ALF model through inhibiting TNF-α-induced, caspase-dependent hepatocellular apoptosis. These results support the further investigation of ginsenoside Rg1 as a therapeutic candidate for ALF

    Gender-specific association between the regular use of statins and the risk of irritable bowel syndrome: A population-based prospective cohort study

    Introduction: In addition to lipid-lowering effects, statins might modulate the gut microbiome and alleviate systematic inflammation, which in turn, may have a protective effect against irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The aim of our study was to evaluate the gender-specific association between statin exposure and the risk of IBS.Method: We undertook a prospective analysis based on the United Kingdom Biobank, a large ongoing cohort including 477,293 participants aged 37–73 years. We included participants based on information on their personal statin use and also those free of IBS and cancer at the baseline. We evaluated the gender-specific hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) with Cox proportional hazards regression, adjusting for demographic factors, lifestyle factors, comorbidities, and statin indications.Result: A total of 438,805 participants (206,499 males and 232,306 females) were included in the analysis. Among male participants, the regular use of statins was associated with a decreased risk of IBS (HR: 0.77; 95% CI: 0.61–0.97). This association persists across multiple sensitivity and subgroup analyses and did not show clear evidence of variance among the major types of statins. We did not find sufficient evidence of the association between the statin use and IBS risk in females (HR: 0.98; 95% CI: 0.82–1.16).Conclusion: Our study found that the regular use of statins was associated with a decreased risk of IBS in male participants. Further studies are required to confirm the beneficial effect of statins

The proposal of “Cuproptosis” has made copper metabolism-related pathways a research hotspot in the field of tumor therapy, which has attracted great attention. This review discusses the biological processes of copper uptake, transport, and storage in human cells. It highlights the mechanisms by which copper metabolism affects hepatocellular carcinogenesis and metastasis, including autophagy, apoptosis, vascular invasion, cuproptosis, and ferroptosis.     Complexing agent study via computational chemistry for environmentally friendly silver electrodeposition and the application of a silver deposit

    In this paper, we introduce a new environmentally friendly silver electroplating bath, employing 5,5-dimethylhydantoin (DMH) and nicotinic acid (NA) as complexing agents, based on the prediction of computational chemistry. An excellent silver electrodeposit with properties suitable for application in electronics packaging was obtained from the newly developed silver electroplating bath, and the electroplating bath is simple and stable. Moreover, the silver(i)-complexes in this bath possessed good complex stability. As a consequence, mirror-bright silver electrodeposits on copper substrates with excellent leveling capability, smooth and compact morphologies, high purity and conductivity, as well as excellent welding property could be realized by adopting this unique bath. Based on the performances of the plating bath and silver deposit, the introduced silver plating bath is a promising candidate for silver electrodeposition applied in microelectronics to replace the conventional cyanide silver electroplating baths.     ObjSim: Lightweight Automatic Patch Prioritization via Object Similarity

    In the context of test case based automatic program repair (APR), patches that pass all the test cases but fail to fix the bug are called overfitted patches. Currently, patches generated by APR tools get inspected manually by the users to find and adopt genuine fixes. Being a laborious activity hindering widespread adoption of APR, automatic identification of overfitted patches has lately been the topic of active research. This paper presents engineering details of ObjSim: a fully automatic, lightweight similarity-based patch prioritization tool for JVM-based languages. The tool works by comparing the system state at the exit point(s) of patched method before and after patching and prioritizing patches that result in state that is more similar to that of original, unpatched version on passing tests while less similar on failing ones. Our experiments with patches generated by the recent APR tool PraPR for fixable bugs from Defects4J v1.4.0 show that ObjSim prioritizes 16.67% more genuine fixes in top-1 place.
