Background: Hepatitis B infection has been emerging without warning and quickly spread in our globally connected world, considered a noticeable health issue. Vietnam is contemplated as a highly endemic of chronic hepatitis B, which contributes factor to the most common cause of cancer death. Prevention and control of HBV in Vietnam mostly depending on the immunization program and regular HBsAg screening. This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of Hepatitis B vaccination in implementation period of EPI in Vietnam from 1981-2019. Methods: A cross-sectional study, population-based was performed from 4 provinces in the Central Region, Vietnam (Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Ninh Thuan). Data was collected from 2075 participants from 1-39 years old in June to July 2019 by statra classification method and random selection. Participants were interviewed about geography demographic, environmental, and attitude factors, and testing HBsAg (+) through a quick test, which affected to their HBV infection status. Results: Our study found out the association between the prevalence of HBsAg(+) with age- groups (<18 years old (OR: 0.228, 95% CI: 0.145-0.359, p<0.001); attendant for delivery, including: medical staff (OR: 0.489, 95% CI: 0.330-0.725, p<0.001); traditional birth attendant (OR: 2.015, 95% CI: 1.321-3.076, p=0.001); family member & relatives (OR: 1.891, 95% CI: 1.087-3.289, p<0.05); reason to choose delivery place : Individual selection (OR: 2.264, 95% CI: 1.045-4.904, p<0.05); family member have Hepatitis B: No (OR: 3.861, 95%CI: 2.079- 7.171, p<0.001;); Unknown(OR: 0.518, 95% CI: 0.30- 0.895, p<0.05); vaccination history: Unknown (OR: 4.739, 95% CI: 1.808-12.422, p<0.05) and availability of immunization cards: No (OR: 2.988, 95%CI: 1.300-6.867, p<0.05;).Conclusion: Hepatitis B infection was still a significant cause of among children younger and adult from 1-39 years old in Vietnam. In the context of low vaccine proportion or uncertain their historical vaccination, and the HBsAg (+) prevalence is mostly in the adults; getting a full schedule of Hepatitis B vaccine and checking the status are very important, in particular, population who have not had a chance to approach vaccination due to their external condition during their childhood and their behavior compared to children. There is a need to consider the community communication to vaccinate frequently in the Expanded Program on Immunization within this dramatic situation.open석

Preparation of Au/ZnO/Fe3O4 Composite for Degradation of Tartrazine under Visible Light

Zinc oxide has been shown to be a potential photocatalyst under UV light but its catalytic activity is limited under visible light due to its wide bandgap energy and rapid recombination of electrons and holes. Besides the catalytic recovery is a challenging issue because of its dispersion in solution. Previous work has shown that the interaction of gold nanoparticles with ZnO can reduce the band gap energy (Eg) and plasmon resonance (SPR) as well as the formation of the Schottky barrier in Au/ZnO composite can reduce the recombination of electrons and holes. In this study, Au/ZnO/Fe3O4 (AZF) composites were prepared by a simple mixing method using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as a binder. As-prepared composites were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), UV-Vis Diffuse Reflectance (UV-Vis-DR), and Fourier Transform Infra Red (FT-IR). The catalytic efficiency of as-prepared samples was evaluated through the decomposition of tartrazine (TA), a colorant that is difficult to decompose in wastewater and has harmful effects on human health. The effects of reaction parameters such as the content of PVA, solution pH, and oxidizing agents (O2 and H2O2) on the catalytic efficiency were studied. The AZF at PVA of 0.0125 g showed the highest performance among as-prepared samples. With the presence of 12 mM H2O2 in the catalyst system, the degradation efficiency and reaction rate of TA in composite increased to 81.5% and 0.020 min−1, respectively. At this condition, photocatalysis and Fenton system catalysis occurred together. The catalytic mechanism of Tartrazine (TA) on composite was proposed and the reaction of TA was studied by the first-order kinetic model. Copyright © 2023 by Authors, Published by BCREC Group. The article evaluates the efficacy of M-learning in instructing the Badminton course for K14 university students at the University of Sports and Physical Education in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Utilizing an experimental design, it contrasts the outcomes of two groups: the K13 students who were taught through conventional face-to-face methods and the K14 students who engaged in blended learning. Both groups were exposed to identical content and assessment procedures. The findings indicate that students in the blended learning approach outperformed their peers in the traditional setting. The study also delves into resource utilization and collects feedback from learners, underscoring the advantages of M-learning in Badminton instruction.  Article visualizations

From Compliance With Environmental Regulations To Pursuit Of Environmental-Based Competitive Advantages: Mediators Of The Relationship In A SME Context

    Get PDF
Despite the huge amount of work written about environmental practices of SMEs, what continues in the debate is the relationship between their two motivations for environmental protection: the push motivation of environmental regulation compliance and the pull motivation of pursuing competitive advantages based on the environmental protection agenda in a win-win logic. Some scholars state that environmental regulation compliance motivates SMEs to pursue opportunities that they would miss otherwise, while others claim that the conformity to regulations results in mere compliance behavior. Thus, we contribute to the literature by probing the intervening variables to uncover when and how SMEs move from a push to a pull motivation. Within the scope of our study, we consider environmental regulations that are voluntary-oriented; we also focus on the pursuit of competitiveness that is based on the development of environmental-friendly products/services. The mediators that we examine include: market expansion, monitoring of business activities, innovative capacity, and adoption of environmental behavior of suppliers. We conduct our investigation among 161 French SMEs in 2011

    Get PDF
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the context of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) has become an important and substantial area of study for quite a few years. In this literature, while so much research has shed light on what makes SMEs integrate CSR into their business strategy, the existing results regarding their economic, social, and environmental motives are contradictory. In this article, we aim at making a contribution by conducting an integrative study. More specifically, we compare the roles of economic, social, and environmental motives in driving SMEs to make CSR become an integral part of their strategic planning and routine operational performance. Our sample includes 155 French SMEs

n this article, we conduct a longitudinal study of womens progress on French corporate boards of directors. We particularly focus on the extent to which women directors have circumvented the glass ceiling. Using a sample of SBF 120 companies over a 10-year period from 2000 to 2009, our results provide evidence of a significant increase in the number of women on French corporate boards. However, the corporate glass ceiling hypothesis is consistently rejected whatever the considered measure of female directors; i.e., the number of board seats held by women, the number of firms with a critical mass of female directors, and the number of directorships held by each women director
