Lesões no complexo maxilofacial em vĂtimas de violĂŞncia no ambiente escolar Maxillo facial injuries in victims of violence at school environment
Este estudo investigou a presença de lesões no complexo maxilofacial em crianças e adolescentes vĂtimas de violĂŞncia fĂsica no ambiente escolar. Foram analisados 42 laudos de exames de corpo de delito envolvendo crianças e adolescentes vĂtimas de violĂŞncia fĂsica na escola, nos anos de 2003 e 2006. Os dados foram registrados em formulário especĂfico e as variáveis coletadas foram gĂŞnero, idade, agente agressor, localização das lesões nas distintas regiões do corpo, tipo e nĂşmero de lesões presentes, acometimento da cavidade bucal e tipo de envolvimento tecidual. Observou-se que 61,9% das vĂtimas eram do gĂŞnero masculino, sendo a faixa etária de 13 a 17 anos a mais atingida. Os colegas foram os perpetradores mais frequentes (92,9%) enquanto os professores foram os agressores em 7,1% dos casos. Lesões nas regiões da cabeça e face estavam presentes em 69,1% da amostra, com 23,8% das vĂtimas apresentando injĂşrias na cavidade bucal, sendo que a totalidade das lesões localizadas em tecido mole, principalmente nos lábios. Constatou-se ser elevada a existĂŞncia de injĂşrias na cavidade bucal em vĂtimas de agressĂŁo no ambiente escolar, confirmando a importância da odontologia no diagnĂłstico de lesões nas regiões da cabeça e face em vĂtimas de violĂŞncia fĂsica.<br>This study investigated the presence of injuries in the maxillofacial complex in children and adolescents victims of physical violence in school environment. Forty-two proofs involved children and adolescents victims of physical violence in school in the years of 2003 and 2006 were analyzed. The data had been registered in specific form collecting the following variables: gender, age, perpetrator agent, localization of the injuries in the distinct regions of the body, type and number of injuries, existence of injuries in oral cavity and tissue involvement. It was observed that 61.9% of the victims were male (61.9%), age-group 13 to 17 years the most reached. In most of the cases (92.9%), the perpetrators were friends from school while teachers represented 7.1% of the cases. Injuries around the head and face were present in 69.1% of the sample, with 23.8% of the victims presenting injuries in the buccal cavity, all of the injuries were situated in soft tissues, mainly in the lips. It was evidenced to be high the existence of injuries in the buccal cavity of the victims of aggression in the school environment, confirming the importance of dentistry in the diagnosis of injuries around the head and face of the victims of physical abuse
Ações e possibilidades de prevenção de acidentes com crianças em creches de Fortaleza, Ceará Actions and possibilities of accidents prevention with children in daycare at Fortaleza, Ceará State
Este estudo descreve o cotidiano de professoras da educação infantil, em creches de Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil, bem como as ações desenvolvidas e as possibilidades de prevenção de acidentes com crianças, nesse espaço educativo e de cuidado Ă saĂşde. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado com 17 professoras de Educação Infantil, que trabalhavam em creches da Secretaria Executiva Regional VI, em Fortaleza, Ceará, em 2004. A entrevista semi-estruturada conduziu Ă coleta de dados e esses foram analisados Ă luz do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC). Os resultados evidenciaram que as professoras concebem esse tipo de acidente como passĂvel de prevenção mediante a orientação Ă famĂlia, alterações fĂsicas no espaço domiciliar e elaboração e cumprimento de leis especĂficas. Reconhecem que a agilidade e curiosidade da criança favorecem a ocorrĂŞncia dos acidentes. Em suas práticas, relatam e propõem vigilância, mudanças na estrutura fĂsica das creches e educação por meio de orientações Ă s crianças, professores, pais ou responsáveis, estendendo-se Ă comunidade. Portanto, Ă© preciso que os profissionais de saĂşde compartilhem sua prática de cuidado com os profissionais do setor da educação, nĂŁo sĂł prevenindo acidentes e outros agravos Ă saĂşde humana, mas, sobretudo, ampliando conceitos que contribuam com a Promoção da SaĂşde.<br>This paper describes the daily of infantile education teachers in day-cares in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil as well as the developed actions and the possibilities of prevention accidents' with children, in this educative space of health care. It is a descriptive study, using a qualitative approach that involved 17 day care teachers working at the 6th Regional Executive Office (Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil) in the year of 2004. A semi-structured interview was used to collect the data, which was analysed using the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) technique. The results showed that teachers believe that this type of accident is preventable through family orientation, physical modifications of house spaces and creation and enforcement of specific laws. They recognise children's agility and curiosity, which facilitate the occurrence of accidents. In their practices, they report and suggest vigilance, physical changes at the day care centers, and education, through orientation directed to children, teachers, parents (or care givers), and the community. Therefore, health care professionals should share their 'caring' practice with professionals in the educational area, not only in order to prevent accidents and other human health afflictions, but also to expand concepts that contribute Health Promotion
