Real-World Light Field Image Super-Resolution via Degradation Modulation
Recent years have witnessed the great advances of deep neural networks (DNNs)
in light field (LF) image super-resolution (SR). However, existing DNN-based LF
image SR methods are developed on a single fixed degradation (e.g., bicubic
downsampling), and thus cannot be applied to super-resolve real LF images with
diverse degradation. In this paper, we propose a simple yet effective method
for real-world LF image SR. In our method, a practical LF degradation model is
developed to formulate the degradation process of real LF images. Then, a
convolutional neural network is designed to incorporate the degradation prior
into the SR process. By training on LF images using our formulated degradation,
our network can learn to modulate different degradation while incorporating
both spatial and angular information in LF images. Extensive experiments on
both synthetically degraded and real-world LF images demonstrate the
effectiveness of our method. Compared with existing state-of-the-art single and
LF image SR methods, our method achieves superior SR performance under a wide
range of degradation, and generalizes better to real LF images. Codes and
models are available at https://yingqianwang.github.io/LF-DMnet/.Comment: 15 pages, 10 figure
Health monitoring device design and application for large synchronously excited multi-shaker vibration test facility
There are different kinds of equipments distributed in different locations for a large complicated multi-shaker vibration test facility, so it is challenging to monitor the real state of test facility thoroughly during its operation. Long-term operation of this test facility will lead to the degradation of reliability and malfunction, and sometimes the emergency stop of the whole test system that threatens the safety of the spacecraft seriously. This paper presents in detail the design and application of a set of health monitoring device for a large multi-shaker vibration test facility which is capable of monitoring the operation state in real time and predicting the potential malfunction of the whole test facility to ensure the reliability of this large test system and safety of the spacecraft during its environmental vibration test
The application of improved signal summing method into the spacecraft force limited vibration test
This paper provides an improved signal summing method for the spacecraft force limited vibration test system with eight force transducers. The key point for this method is to change the combination way of the signals coming out of the eight force transducers while the formulas inside the signal conditioning amplifier have been used skillfully. This method had been successfully adopted in the spacecraft force limited vibration test and the accuracy requirements of key force and moment signals have been met. And this method has been proved to be a very powerful tool for providing the critical force and moment data used to determine the force limited profile during the spacecraft dynamic test
A Humanized Anti-VEGF Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody Inhibits Angiogenesis and Blocks Tumor Growth in Xenograft Models
Rabbit antibodies have been widely used in research and diagnostics due to their high antigen specificity and affinity. Though these properties are also highly desirable for therapeutic applications, rabbit antibodies have remained untapped for human disease therapy. To evaluate the therapeutic potential of rabbit monoclonal antibodies (RabMAbs), we generated a panel of neutralizing RabMAbs against human vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF). These neutralizing RabMAbs are specific to VEGF and do not cross-react to other members of the VEGF protein family. Guided by sequence and lineage analysis of a panel of neutralizing RabMAbs, we humanized the lead candidate by substituting non-critical residues with human residues within both the frameworks and the CDR regions. We showed that the humanized RabMAb retained its parental biological properties and showed potent inhibition of the growth of H460 lung carcinoma and A673 rhabdomyosarcoma xenografts in mice. These studies provide proof of principle for the feasibility of developing humanized RabMAbs as therapeutics
Accuracy Evaluation of CFOSAT SWIM L2 Products Based on NDBC Buoy and Jason-3 Altimeter Data
Chinese-French Oceanography Satellite (CFOSAT), the first satellite which can observe global ocean wave and wind synchronously, was successfully launched On 29 October 2018. The CFOSAT carries SWIM that can observe ocean wave on a global scale. Based on National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) buoys and Jason-3 altimeter data, this study evaluated the accuracy of L2 level products of CFOSAT SWIM from August 2019 to September 2020. The results show that the accuracy of the nadir Significant Wave Height (SWH) data of the SWIM wave spectrometer is good. Compared with the data of the NDBC buoys and Jason-3 altimeter, the RMSE of the nadir box SWH were 0.39 and 0.21 m, respectively. The variation trend of SWH were first increasing and then decreasing with the increasing of the wave height. The precision of off-nadir wave spectrum SWH is not better than nadir box SWH data. Accuracy was evaluated for off-nadir data from August 2019 to June 2020 and after June 2020, respectively. After linear regression correction, the accuracy of off-nadir wave spectrum SWH was improved. The data accuracy evaluation and comparison of different time period showed that the off-nadir wave spectrum SWH accuracy was improved after the data version was updated in June 2020, especially for 6Β° and 8Β° wave spectrum. The precision of off-nadir wave spectrum SWH decreases with the increasing of wave height. The accuracy of the dominant wave direction of each wave spectrum is also not very good, and the accuracy of the dominant wave direction of 10Β° wave spectrum is slightly better than the others. In general, the accuracy of SWIM nadir beam SWH data reaches the high data accuracy of traditional altimeter, while the accuracy of off-nadir wave spectrum SWH is less than that of nadir beam SWH data. The off-nadir SWH data accuracy after June 2020 has been greatly improved
