    Effects of purine nucleotide administration on purine nucleotide metabolism in brains of heroin-dependent rats

    Heroin is known to enhance catabolism and inhibit anabolism of purine nucleotides, leading to purine nucleotide deficiencies in rat brains. Here, we determined the effect of exogenous purine nucleotide administration on purine nucleotide metabolism in the brains of heroin-dependent rats. Heroin was administrated in increasing doses for 9 consecutive days to induce addiction, and the biochemical changes associated with heroin and purine nucleotide administration were compared among the treated groups. HPLC was performed to detect the absolute concentrations of purine nucleotides in the rat brain cortices. The enzymatic activities of adenosine deaminase (ADA) and xanthine oxidase (XO) in the treated rat cortices were analyzed, and qRT-PCR was performed to determine the relative expression of ADA, XO, adenine phosphoribosyl transferase (APRT), hypoxanthine-guaninephosphoribosyl transferase (HGPRT), and adenosine kinase (AK). Heroin increased the enzymatic activity of ADA and XO, and up-regulated the transcription of ADA and XO. Alternatively, heroin decreased the transcription of AK, APRT, and HGPRT in the rat cortices. Furthermore, purine nucleotide administration alleviated the effect of heroin on purine nucleotide content, activity of essential purine nucleotide metabolic enzymes, and transcript levels of these genes. Our findings therefore represent a novel, putative approach to the treatment of heroin addiction

    Keystroke Biometrics for Freely Typed Text Based on CNN model

    Keystroke biometrics, as an authentication method with advantages of no extra hardware cost, easy-to-integrate and high-security, has attracted much attention in user authentication. However, a mass of researches on keystroke biometrics have focused on the fixed-text analysis, while only a few took free-text analysis into consideration. And in the field of free-text analysis, most researchers usually devote their efforts to extracting the most appropriate keystroke features on their own experience. These methods were inevitably questionable due to their strong subjectivity. In this paper we proposed a multi-user keystroke authentication scheme based on CNN model, which can automatically figure out the appropriate features for the model, adjust and optimize the model constantly to further enhance the performance of model. In the experiment on a small sample set, the performance is improved more than 10% compared with the benchmark. Our model achieves an average recognition accuracy of 92.58%, with FAR of 0.24% and FRR of 7.34%

    Statistical Analysis of Radio Propagation Channel in Ruins Environment

    The cellphone based localization system for search and rescue in complex high density ruins has attracted a great interest in recent years, where the radio channel characteristics are critical for design and development of such a system. This paper presents a spatial smoothing estimation via rotational invariance technique (SS-ESPRIT) for radio channel characterization of high density ruins. The radio propagations at three typical mobile communication bands (0.9, 1.8, and 2 GHz) are investigated in two different scenarios. Channel parameters, such as arrival time, delays, and complex amplitudes, are statistically analyzed. Furthermore, a channel simulator is built based on these statistics. By comparison analysis of average excess delay and delay spread, the validation results show a good agreement between the measurements and channel modeling results

    AbstractThe effects of temperature and wavelength choice on in-situ dissolution test instrument of Cimetidine were studied. Absorbance (A)<1.0 is required when using a fiber-optic dissolution test system. The detection wavelength of λmax (218nm) was replaced by 244nm to carry out this test. The absorbance of Cimetidine solution at different temperature showed an obvious change. Calibration of Cimetidine solution should be tested at the same temperature (37°C) with the test solution. A suitable wavelength with smaller tangent slope could be chosen for in-situ dissolution test of Cimetidine tablets

    An optimal data service providing framework in cloud radio access network

    Much work has been conducted to design effective and efficient algorithms for quality of service (QoS)-aware service computing in the past several years. The wireless mobile computing and cloud computing environments have brought many challenges to QoS-aware service providing. Mobile cloud computing (MCC) and cloud radio accessing networks (C-RANs) are the new paradigms arising in recent years. This work proposes a wireless data service providing framework in C-RAN aiming to provide data service in C-RAN by a more efficient way. The efficiency is measured by cost with time constraint. An abstract formal model is built on the proposed framework, and the corresponding optimal solution is deduced theoretically using queuing theory and convex optimization. The simulation results show that the proposed optimal strategy on the optimal solution works well and has a better performance than compared one
