An Efficient Design of the Piezoresistive Pressure Sensor Applied for Micro Aerial Vehicle
In this research, the developing process of a piezoresistive pressure sensor working in the atmosphere environment applied in micro aerial vehicle using the MEMS fabrication method is introduced. The sensor consists of four Au/Cr piezoresistors in a Wheatstone bridge configuration on a wet oxidized silicon diaphragm. To fabricate the sensor, three lithographic steps were conducted: the first one is to define the resistors and Au/Cr lines/pads, the second and the third ones are to determine the width and the thickness of the square SiO2/Si diaphragm, respectively. The sensor diaphragm shape and thickness were defined by the anisotropic etching of Si in tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) solution, and the resistors array are formed by sputtering and wet etching method. The sensor size is ~6000 µm by 6000 µm. The sensor output voltage was measured for various applied pressure levels from 0 to 1.2 bar with 5V voltage supply. The fabricated sensor also exhibits a sensitivity of 50.01 mV/bar

Neural Scene Decoration from a Single Photograph
Furnishing and rendering indoor scenes has been a long-standing task for
interior design, where artists create a conceptual design for the space, build
a 3D model of the space, decorate, and then perform rendering. Although the
task is important, it is tedious and requires tremendous effort. In this paper,
we introduce a new problem of domain-specific indoor scene image synthesis,
namely neural scene decoration. Given a photograph of an empty indoor space and
a list of decorations with layout determined by user, we aim to synthesize a
new image of the same space with desired furnishing and decorations. Neural
scene decoration can be applied to create conceptual interior designs in a
simple yet effective manner. Our attempt to this research problem is a novel
scene generation architecture that transforms an empty scene and an object
layout into a realistic furnished scene photograph. We demonstrate the
performance of our proposed method by comparing it with conditional image
synthesis baselines built upon prevailing image translation approaches both
qualitatively and quantitatively. We conduct extensive experiments to further
validate the plausibility and aesthetics of our generated scenes. Our
implementation is available at

Le portail g-INFO pour surveiller la grippe Influenza A
Le portail g-INFO pour surveiller la grippe Influenza
g-INFO portal: a solution to monitor Influenza A on the Grid for non-grid users
International audienceIn this paper, we introduce a portal for monitoring Influenza A on a grid-based system. Influenza A keeps on being a major threat to public health worldwide; especially if one virus can mutate itself so that it acquires the capacity for human to human transmission of H1N1 as well as the high death rate of H5N1. The existing g-INFO (Grid-based Information Network for Flu Observation) project provides a complete system for monitoring flu virus on the Grid. We present here a portal that operates on top of the g-INFO system as a solution for non-grid users to utilize grid services for analyzing molecular biology data of Influenza A
9-[(2-Hydroxybenzylidene)amino]-11-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-10,13-diphenyl-8-oxa-12-azoniatricyclo[7.3.1.02,7]trideca-2(7),3,5-triene acetate ethanol disolvate
The title compound, C36H31N2O3
+,C2H3O2
−·2C2H5OH, the product of a domino condensation of dibenzyl ketone with salicylic aldehyde and ammonium acetate, crystallized as the ethanol disolvate. The cation of the salt comprises a fused tricyclic system containing three six-membered rings (piperidine, dihydro-2H-pyran and benzene). The piperidine ring has the usual chair conformation, while the dihydropyran ring adopts a slightly distorted sofa conformation. In the crystal, there are six (one intra- and five intermolecular) independent hydrogen-bonding interactions: the intermolecular hydrogen bonds link the cations and anions and ethanol solvent molecules into ribbons along [001]. The ribbons are stacked along the a axis
THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STUDENTS’ SELF-CONFIDENCE AND THEIR ENGLISH-SPEAKING PERFORMANCE: A CASE STUDY OF ENGLISH-MAJORED STUDENTS AT A PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN VIETNAM
This research aimed to discover the relationships between students' self-confidence and their English-speaking performance. In our research, self-confidence was divided into three components which are affective confidence, behavioral confidence, and cognitive confidence. In addition, speaking performance included eight components which are vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, fluency, coherence, comprehension, task, and content. A sample of 150 English-majored students at a university in Vietnam was surveyed in this study by using a convenience sampling technique, and then conducting semi-structured interviews to seek for qualitative information from 10 participants out of 150. The result from our study showed that there are significant relationships between the two variables. The more confident the students are, the more accomplished they would be in the presenting procedure since they have superior cognition and understand how to modify their learning methods to build a comprehensive individual in learning English language. We expect that these findings can help students adjust their learning methods to improve their self-confidence as well as English speaking performance and by that way, universities can add more speaking-related subjects so that students can have more opportunities to speak and learn more speaking skills.
