THE IMPACT OF CREATING SHARED VALUE ON PURCHASE INTENTION AND RECOMMENDATION INTENTION: A STUDY IN VIETNAM

    Get PDF
Creating shared value (CSV) has been predicted as the next evolution of corporate social responsibility. Companies that follow the CSV approach integrate economic, societal, and environmental objectives in their strategy to pursue sustainability and competitive advantages. This study investigates the effects of CSV contributions (which are framed as economic, social, and environmental contributions) on brand attitude, and then the effects of brand attitude on consumer purchase and recommendation intentions. This research also examines the moderating role of perceived personal relevance on the relationships between economic, social, and environmental contributions and brand attitude. The proposed model was empirically tested on a sample of 234 consumers in a metropolitan city in Vietnam. The results confirm that positive links exist between the three CSV contributions and brand attitude as well as between brand attitude and consumer intentions of purchasing and recommending. The study also finds that perceived personal relevance moderates the effect of environmental contribution on brand attitude. These effects help us better understand previous findings in the literature regarding the influence of CSV on consumer intentions and enrich the limited CSV research. Moreover, this study also provides managerial suggestions for companies in making their CSV decisions

Current Status of Commune-Level Leadership Cadres and Activities for Enhancing the Capacity of Commune-Level Leadership Cadres in Thai Nguyen Province, VietNam

Thai Nguyen is one of the regional centers of the midland and mountainous provinces in the North of Vietnam. Thai Nguyen Province comprises 9 administrative units, including 3 cities (Thai Nguyen city, Song Cong city, Pho Yen city) and 6 districts (Phu Binh, Dong Hy, Vo Nhai, Dinh Hoa, Dai Tu, Phu Luong) with 177 commune-level administrative units, consisting of 126 communes, 41 wards, and 10 towns. The cadre of commune-level leaders in Thai Nguyen Province is currently fewer than the prescribed number (due to one person holding multiple positions). However, in recent times, the number of commune-level officials and civil servants has increased rapidly, significantly affecting the effectiveness of commune-level government operations. This article focuses on reflecting the current situation of commune-level cadres and the activities of enhancing the capacity of commune-level leaders in Thai Nguyen Province

ObhájenoMy concern lies with narcissism, the past, and myself. I deal with the issue of identity and individuality, myself - "I" - as a reflection of reality. I am naively creating my curriculum vitae by visual and spatial means. The theme of "I" is conveyed in seven sheets hanging on a wooden dryer. These sheets stand for fragments of various events and emotions that I have experienced at different stages of my life

Thesis(Master) --KDI School:Master of Development Policy,2015Territorial integrity is one of the most vital concerns to every nation all over the world in general and Vietnam in particular. As a regional organization, ASEAN has proved its own value in assisting its member states, including Vietnam to protect that national interest. This study aims at identifying the benefits that ASEAN membership can provide Vietnam in its efforts to protect its national territorial integrity. The main approach used in this study is the approach of constructivism in which the study will try to find out how Vietnam’s territorial integrity becomes a regional issue and in what aspects this process can positively affects Vietnam’s territorial integrity protection process. The main method used in this study is the discourse analysis in which the researcher will analyze 4 main types of documents: Documents of the National Party Congress of Vietnam; Official statements from ASEAN and prestigious magazines and journals. From results of this method, the study would point out the benefits that ASEAN membership can provide Vietnam’s territorial integrity that can be a good reference for policy makers in Vietnam- ASEAN integration policy deployment.masterpublishedthu Ha LE

The research focuses on presenting and analyzing several key concepts related to the New Rural Development Program in Vietnam. The presentation begins by defining crucial terms such as rural and new rural in Vietnam. Additionally, the article outlines the legal foundations and the government's target programs for building new rural areas, while discussing the necessity of constructing new rural areas in the current developmental context. This is a detailed and comprehensive article, offering readers an overview of the history and content of this program in enhancing the quality of life in rural Vietnam

Efficiency of ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region in identifying Cordyceps species

Cordyceps genus is a well-known traditional medicine worldwide. It contains abundant physiological active compounds that were demonstrated to perform benefit in reducing progression of cancer as well as protecting human health. Accurately classifying species in this genus is essential in order to prevent commercial counterfeit medicines. Nowadays, a taxonomic classification of species based on DNA sequences can overcome the existed limitation in identifying by using only morphological characteristics of this genus. DNA barcodes are standard short genomic regions that are universally present in target lineages and has sufficient sequence variation to discriminate species in the genus. A variety of loci has been suggested as DNA barcodes for plants, including genes and non-coding regions in the nuclear and plastid genomes such as psbA-trnH, matK, rbcL, and ITS. Thus, the objective of this study was to identify selected species of Cordyceps genus using DNA barcodes. Seven strains of Cordyceps were collected. Total DNA extraction and purification, PCR amplification and DNA sequencing were performed with standard chemicals and kits. The candidate ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region was amplified and sequenced. Data were analyzed using Bioedit 7.2.6 and MEGA 7 softwares. Analysis of seven obtained DNA barcode sequences of collected samples revealed that the ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region provided high species discriminating power for Cordyceps genus. Accordingly, phylogenetic trees based on this DNA barcode exhibited six samples had closed relationship to Cordyceps militaris, while another specimen was the nearest neighbor to Cordyceps sinensis with average similarities at 99.82% and 99.81%, respectively. Our results support the identification of valuable medicinal plant species within Cordyceps genus

Detection of Structural Modifications of an Euler-Bernoulli Beam through Modal Parameters Variation

    Get PDF
International audienceThis research deals with a class of identification problems mainly concerning the localization of structural modifications in elastic beams with or without tension by dynamic analysis. Variations of tension, mass density and/or bending stiffness induce variations of the beam natural frequencies. For each natural frequency, a first order estimate of this modification is then established. It depends on the variations of tension, density and bending stiffness and also on the corresponding mode shape and curvature mode shape of the initial state. When the variations of density and flexural rigidity are localized along the beam (as for a notch in a beam or a crack in a cable), this estimate is used to propose a procedure permitting detection, localization and, eventually, quantification of these variations knowing the modifications of the first natural frequencies and the variation of tension. This procedure is applied successfully to experimental data found in literature concerning beams without tension and only bending stiffness modifications
