    “Sistema de información académica vía web para mejorar la gestión educativa en el centro de educación técnico productivo telenort de la ciudad de Trujillo”, el presente trabajo de investigación está basada en el desarrollo de un sistema académico vía web, que tiene como objetivo mejorar la gestión educativa del centro de educación técnico productivo “TELENORT”, mediante un sistema de información académica vía web; para una población mayor a 30 se utilizó la prueba Z, de la misma forma para medir el grado de satisfacción del personal administrativo, se utiliza la prueba T de Student. Para poder elaborar el sistema de información académica vía web y cumplir con los objetivos planteados se utilizó la metodología ICONIX. En el desarrollo de la aplicación se utilizaron diferentes tecnologías, como lenguaje de programación se utilizó PHP 5, JavaScript y como gestor de base de datos MySql Server. En conclusión la Plataforma virtual académica mejoro la gestión educativa, obteniendo resultados satisfactorios. Ya que el tiempo promedio de registro de matrículas tuvo un decremento de 5.95 minutos, a lo que esto representa el 66.18% de la misma manera en el tiempo promedio de reportes de notas disminuyo en 6.34.75 minutos, que es representado por el 56.11%, al igual que el tiempo promedio de registro de asistencias decremento en 3.73 minutos a lo que esto representa el 45.60

    Power-Efficient and High-Performance Cicruit Techniques for On-Chip Voltage Regulation and Low-Voltage Filtering

    This dissertation focuses on two projects. The first one is a power supply rejection (PSR) enhanced with fast settling time (TS) bulk-driven feedforward (BDFF) capacitor-less (CL) low-dropout (LDO) regulator. The second project is a high bandwidth (BW) power adjustable low-voltage (LV) active-RC 4th -order Butterworth low pass filter (LPF). As technology improves, faster and more accurate LDOs with high PSR are going to be required for future on-chip applications and systems.The proposed BDFF CL-LDO will accomplish an improved PSR without degrading TS. This would be achieved by injecting supply noise through the pass device’s bulk terminal in order to cancel the supply noise at the output. The supply injection will be achieved by creating a feedforward path, which compared to feedback paths, that doesn’t degrade stability and therefore allows for faster dynamic performance. A high gain control loop would be used to maintain a high accuracy and dc performance, such as line/load regulation. The proposed CL-LDO will target a PSR better than – 90 dB at low frequencies and – 60 dB at 1 MHz for 50 mA of load current (IvL). The CL-LDO will target a loop gain higher than 90 dB, leading to an improved line and load regulation, and unity-gain frequency (UGF) higher than 20 MHz, which will allow a TS faster than 500 ns. The CL-LDO is going to be fabricated in a CMOS 130 nm technology; consume a quiescent current (IQ) of less than 50 μA; for a dropout voltage of 200 mV and an IvL of 50 mA. As technology scales down, speed and performance requirements increase for on-chip communication systems that reflect the current demand for high speed data-oriented applications. However, in small technologies, it becomes harder to achieve high gain and high speed at the same time because the supply voltage (VvDvD) decreases leaving no room for conventional high gain CMOS structures. The proposed active-RC LPF will accomplish a LV high BW operation that would allow such disadvantages to be overcome. The LPF will be implemented using an active RC structure that allows for the high linearity such communication systems demand. In addition, built-in BW and power configurability would address the demands for increased flexibility usually required in such systems. The proposed LV LPF will target a configurable cut-off frequency (ƒо) of 20/40/80/160 MHz with tuning capabilities and power adjustability for each ƒо. The filter will be fabricated in a CMOS 130 nm technology. The filter characteristics are as following: 4th -order, active-RC, LPF, Butterworth response, VDD = 0.6 V, THD higher than 40 dB and a third-order input intercept point (IIP3) higher than 10 dBm

    Chromium picolinate, biotin, and sodium bicarbonate combination as a dietary supplement in the treatment of type 2 diabetes

    Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is characterized by hyperglycemia due to insulin resistance, which can lead to micro and macrovascular complications. The importance of glycemic control for prevention demands the need to promote accessible and safe treatments among others in the form of scientifically proven nutritional supplements. Previous studies have suggested that the consumption of bicarbonate-rich mineral water altered blood metabolites and gut microbiome which has beneficial effects on patients with T2DM. Likewise, chromium picolinate and biotin have shown usefulness in glycemic control. The objective of our study was to evaluate the supplementation with chromium picolinate, biotin, and sodium bicarbonate in patients with T2DM. Methods: We planned and supervised the execution of a crossover, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of patients with the diagnosis of T2DM that was conducted in Diabetes Clinics of the Endocrinology Service of the University Hospital “Dr. José E. González” of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico from June 2011 to July 2012. Patients’ follow-ups during the study included a day-0 baseline visit and six more visits over the next six months. Efficacy of treatment was assessed by expressing changes in hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), body mass index (BMI), and blood pressure (BP). Results: Forty-seven (62.6%) of the original 75 patients completed the trial. Regarding the baseline characteristics, 25 (53.1%) of the participants were male and the mean age was 55.23 ± 9.88. The mean HbA1c was 8.38 ± 1.08%, the mean BMI was 29.34 ± 4.64, the mean systolic BP of 143.84 ± 23.6 mm Hg, and the mean diastolic BP of 84.5 ± 12.13 mm Hg. When comparing the changes that occurred after both interventions, we observed that the HbA1c in the active ingredient group decreased (-0.15%) and in the placebo increased (+0.12%) (p=0.148). When we subdivided both groups according to their HbA1c level before the intervention and compared the participants with HbA1c ≥9, the placebo group had an increase of 0.15 ± 1.32 % and the reduction in the active ingredients was -0.68 ± 1.58 % (p=0.158). Conclusions: In our study, we observed that the supplementation with chromium picolinate, biotin, and sodium bicarbonate decreased HbA1c in 3 months compared to the placebo group in which there was an increase, but with a tendency in the statistical analyses. We believe that this could be due to two reasons: the size of our sample, due to the large percentage of participants who dropped out of the study, or because the treatment period to observe a greater difference should have been longer

    GIS as a Decision Support Tool in the Area of Influence of the Nuclear Complex Angra dos Reis, Brazil

    The outlook concerning the occurrence of industrial accidents has led to the implementation of response systems based on geoprocessing tools, which are widely adopted in emergency for such ventures, since they have helped and served as a support for decision making, as well as for the preparation of guidelines aimed at managing emergencies. Nuclear power plants, because they constitute types of industrial activities that present dangerous conditions and attention regarding security are characterized as hazardous, especially due to consequences that occurred from large accidents— such as Chernobyl (1986) and Fukushima (2011)—highlighting the importance to its negative impacts, since the occurrence of accidents at nuclear power plants may affect surrounding areas, thus exposing a set of elements that are part of the environmental dynamics that integrates the catchment area where this type of plant is situated. In this way, through an integrated view of the region where the nuclear complex is located in Angra dos Reis City (Rio de Janeiro State) and, also, by aggregating information that portray the geobiophysical reality of its surroundings, several elements were incorporated into a database developed in a virtual environment, in which was produced a geographic information system (GIS) that presents a complex of variables that, once considered, can enhance various analysis in order to support emergency situations and planning, as well as guidelines that help define actions from the occurrence of accidental events at the nuclear plant.Indisponível
