    Zum Wandel des Berufsbildes bei Wirtschaftsinformatikern:eine empirische Analyse auf der Basis von Stellenanzeigen

    Im vorliegenden Beitrag wurde auf der Basis von Stellenanzeigen der Wandel des Berufsbildes fĂŒr Wirtschaftsinformatiker analysiert. Hierbei wurde nicht von vordefinierten TĂ€tigkeitsfeldern im DV-Bereich ausgegangen und gefragt, in welchen der Wirtschaftsinformatiker eingesetzt werden kann, sondern von der effektiven Nachfrage nach Absolventen des Studiengangs. Die Auswertungen haben ergeben, daß sich das traditionelle Berufsbild des Wirtschaftsinformatikers wegen des erheblichen Wandels in den Organisationskonzepten der DV-Anwender und den Leistungsangeboten der DV-Anbieter stark geĂ€ndert hat. Gleichzeitig lieferte die Erhebung auch Aussagen zur Nachfrageentwicklung nach Absolventen konkurrierender StudiengĂ€nge

    Neurofilament light chain, a biomarker for polyneuropathy in systemic amyloidosis

    OBJECTIVE: To study serum neurofilament light chain (sNfL) in amyloid light chain (AL) amyloidosis patients with and without polyneuropathy (PNP) and to corroborate previous observations that sNfL is increased in hereditary transthyretin-related (ATTRv) amyloidosis patients with PNP. METHODS: sNfL levels were assessed retrospectively in patients with AL amyloidosis with and without PNP (AL/PNP+ and AL/PNP-, respectively), patients with ATTRv amyloidosis and PNP (ATTRv/PNP+), asymptomatic transthyretin (TTR) gene mutation carriers (TTRv carriers) and healthy controls. Healthy controls (HC) were age- and sex-matched to both AL/PNP- (HC/AL) and TTRv carriers (HC/TTRv). The single-molecule array (Simoa) assay was used to assess sNfL levels. RESULTS: sNfL levels were increased both in 10 AL/PNP+ patients (p  I) had the highest sNfL levels compared to patients with early PNP (PND-score I) (p = .05). sNfL levels did not differ between TTRv carriers and HC/TTRv individuals. In the group comprising all healthy controls and in the group of TTRv carriers, sNfL levels correlated with age. CONCLUSION: sNfL levels are increased in patients with PNP in both AL and ATTRv amyloidosis and are related to severity of PNP in ATTRv amyloidosis. sNfL is a promising biomarker to detect PNP, not only in ATTRv but also in AL amyloidosis

    Effect of the rs2259816 polymorphism in the HNF1A gene on circulating levels of c-reactive protein and coronary artery disease (the ludwigshafen risk and cardiovascular health study)

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>C-reactive protein is a well established marker of inflammation and has been used to predict future cardiovascular disease. It is still controversial if it plays an active role in the development of cardiovascular disease. Recently, polymorphisms in the gene for HNF1α have been linked to the levels of C-reactive protein and coronary artery disease.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>We investigated the association of the rs2259816 polymorphism in the HNF1A gene with the circulating level of C-reactive protein and the hazard of coronary artery disease in the LURIC Study cohort.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Compared to CC homozygotes, the level of C-reactive protein was decreased in carriers of at least one A-allele. Each A-allele decreased CRP by approximately 15%. The odds ratio for coronary artery disease was only very slightly increased in carriers of the A-allele and this association did not reach statistical significance.</p> <p>Conclusions</p> <p>In the LURIC Study cohort the A-allele of rs2259816 is associated with decreased CRP but not with coronary artery disease.</p

    Konzeptionelle Untersuchungen zur Ansiedlung ausgewaehlter Bereiche der Hochtechnologie auf dem Gebiet der Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Struktur-Studie

    The subject of the present study is the issue whether and under what circumstances aerospace-oriented high technologies can be established in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania or what importance would be attributed to this branch of industry within this context. In contrast to the traditions of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, aerospace industry plays but an insignificant role in the economy of this State. This study shows 10 enterprises which are the first ones to provide specialized services to aerospace industry, often in a modest volume, yet. These firms are initial condensation nuclei of an innovative industry which steeped in tradition is just regaining a foothold and from which the branch in this state might develop anew. There are claims that the promotion of the development of aerospace industry should be established as a fixed component of the economic strategy of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and that this should be pushed utilizing all political and economic means. Enforcing these goals as well as focusing and channeling all state efforts directed at this task requires an authorized institutional organization which is planned in the form of a technical coordination agency for aerospace technology of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. (orig./RHM)Gegenstand der vorliegenden Studie ist die Frage, ob und unter welchen Umstaenden luft- und raumfahrtorientierte Hochtechnologien in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern sesshaft werden koennten bzw. welche Bedeutung der Branche in diesem Zusammenhang zukommen wuerde. In der Wirtschaft des Landes spielt die Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie im Gegensatz zu den Traditionen Mecklenburg-Vorpommerns gegenwaertig eine nur unbedeutende Rolle. In der Studie wurden 10 Unternehmen nachgewiesen, die, differenziert und oft noch in bescheidenem Umfang, bereits Leistungen fuer die Luft- und Raumfahrt erbringen. Diese Firmen sind erste Kondensationspunkte einer wieder Fuss fassenden traditionsreichen innovativen Industrie, aus denen heraus sich die Branche erneut im Lande entwickeln koennte. Es wird gefordert, dass die Foerderung des Aufbaus einer Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie zum festen Bestandteil der Wirtschaftsstrategie Mecklenburg-Vorpommerns erhoben werden sollte und unter Ausschoepfung aller politischen und wirtschaftlichen Moeglichkeiten vorangetrieben werden sollte. Zur Durchsetzung dieser Ziele sowie zur Buendelung und Kanalisierung aller auf diese Aufgabe gerichteten Bemuehungen des Landes bedarf es einer autorisierten institutionellen Einrichtung, die in Form einer Fachkoordinierungsstelle Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik Mecklenburg-Vorpommern geplant ist.     De Novo Design, Synthesis, and Biological Evaluation of 3,4-Disubstituted Pyrrolidine Sulfonamides as Potent and Selective Glycine Transporter 1 Competitive Inhibitors

    The development of glycine transporter 1 (GlyT1) inhibitors may offer putative treatments for schizophrenia and other disorders associated with hypofunction of the glutaminergic <i>N</i>-methyl-d-aspartate (NMDA) receptor. Herein, we describe the synthesis and biological evaluation of a series of 3,4-disubstituted pyrrolidine sulfonamides as competitive GlyT1 inhibitors that arose from de novo scaffold design. Relationship of chemical structure to drug–drug interaction (DDI) and bioactivation was mechanistically investigated. Murine studies were strategically incorporated into the screening funnel to provide early assessments of in vivo target occupancy (TO) by ex vivo binding studies. Advanced compounds derived from iterative structure–activity relationship (SAR) studies possessed high potency in ex vivo binding studies and good brain penetration, promising preliminary in vivo efficacy, acceptable preclinical pharmacokinetics, and manageable DDI and bioactivation liabilities
