    The construction of a factory building often requires large costs. This is due to the lack of attention paid to the effectiveness and efficiency of the use of materials, materials and also from the implementation method which is almost the same but in terms of costs it is more economical. The large amount of funding in the construction of factory buildings is an attraction for further analysis with the aim of finding materials and also implementation methods that require more economical costs than before. The purpose of this research is to find savings in construction costs, especially in architectural work by replacing the initial design with a new alternative design. This study uses the Value Engineering method. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that in architectural work, the largest construction cost lies in wall work, which costs Rp. 1,649,566,000 and floor work which cost Rp. 1,509,219,969. the results of the job function analysis show that the wastage of costs in architectural work lies in wall work and floor work. Where, work items with C/W > 2 include: wall work: C/W = 3.1 and floor work: C/W = 2.1

    Managerial short-termism and investment: Evidence from accelerated option vesting

    We show that executives cut investment when their incentives become more short term. We examine a unique event in which hundreds of firms eliminated option vesting periods to avoid a drop in income under accounting rule FAS 123-R. This event allowed executives to exercise options earlier and thus profit from boosting short-term performance. Our identification exploits that FAS 123-R’s adoption was staggered almost randomly by firms’ fiscal year-ends. CEOs cut investment and reported higher short-term earnings after option acceleration, and they subsequently increased equity sales

    The exercise book Ich Liebe Deutsch 3  is a new teaching material for Seniors High School. Therefore, it is important to analyze the suitability between the exercise materials of the book and the competency of the curiculum (curiculum 2013). This research has a goal that would like to know the suitability of writing skill exercises in book Ich Liebe Deutsch 3 with curriculum 2013. The problem of research is: How is the the suitability of writing skill exercises in book Ich Liebe Deutsch 3 with curriculum 2013 for the SMA / MA class XI Isemester 1?. The method  of this research is descriptive qualitative. The theory of the research are curriculum 2013 and the level of the writing test of Nurgiyantoro. The data are from the practice book Ich Liebe Deutsch 3  by Dyah Sapta Wulandari. There are 13 writing skills exercises in Lesson 4, which has  analyzed with the competency of the valid curiculum (curiculum 2013). The results of the research are: There are 7 writing skills exercises that fit with curriculum 2013 and there are 6 writing skills exercises that not fit with curriculum 2013.     The Effect of Competency, Negotiation Model and Emotional Intelligence in the Stakeholders Capability on Result of Negotiation Construction Dispute in Indonesia

    The construction project is a series of activities that are long, complex and increase potential of construction understanding differences, disagreements, and conflicts between various parties involved in construction work. So many construction projects that cause disputes between parties. In negotiating disputes, negotiations often take place; the negotiation process requires the capability to get the best results, such as competency, negotiation model and emotional intelligence. This research based on 102 samples of respondents from 10 constrution project in Indonesia among 5 highrise building projects and 5 industrial projects. Subject of research focused on the four stakeholders in the main project, which will be analyzed with the partial structural-least square equation model (PLS-SEM). The results of the analysis show that competency and emotional intelligence have significant positive effects to negotiations result in construction dispute. Negotiation model does not influence the negotiation results in the highrise building projects or industrial projects. But the results were different if the negotiation model that was added with the competency would have an significant positive effects to negotiations result in construction dispute.     The retention effects of unvested equity: Evidence from accelerated option vesting

    We document that firms can effectively retain executives by granting deferred equity pay. We show this by analyzing a unique regulatory change (FAS 123-R) that prompted 723 firms to suddenly eliminate stock option vesting periods. This allowed CEOs to keep 33% more options when departing the firm, and we find that voluntary CEO departure rates subsequently rose from 5% to 21%. Our identification strategy exploits FAS 123-R’s almost-random timing, which was staggered by firms’ fiscal year-ends. Firms that experienced departures suffered negative stock price reactions, and responded by increasing compensation for remaining and newly hired executives

    Purification and Properties of Diaminopimelate Decarboxylase from Micrococcus Glutamicus

    Diaminopimelate decarboxylase (E. C. 4.1.1.20) from Micrococcus glutamicus horn-, lysine excreting strain, is purified 350- fold by ammonium sulphate precipitation, gel filtration on Sephadex G-150, and chromatography on hydroxylapatite and DEAE-Seph adex. The enzyme has a molecular weight of 53000, isoelectric point of 4.3, optimal pH for activity 7.7, energy of activation 11.1 kcal/mol, and Km for substrate 1.26 mM. For its stability, the presence of pyridoxal phosphate and sulphydril reagent is necessary, and most catalytic activity is retained within a pH range of 5.5 to 8.5.     Analisis Profil Kompetensi Literasi Sains Siswa SMA Pada Materi Inti Atom dan Radioaktivitas

    The level of scientific literacy among Indonesian students is low and continues to decline every year. This can be caused by several things related to the learning process at school. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of high school students' scientific literacy competence in atomic nucleus and radioactivity materials. The competency indicators analyzed refer to PISA 2018, namely: a) Explain phenomena scientifically, b) Evaluate and design scientific investigations, and c) Interpret data and evidence scientifically. This research is a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The research was conducted in May 2023 in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year in one of the public high schools in Gresik Regency. The population in this study were 2 classes, namely XII IPA 4 and XII IPA 5, totaling 72 students. The sampling technique used random sampling taken from each class randomly with a total of 50 students. The instrument used was a science literacy test developed with a valid category and a reliability value of 0.492. The results of this study are the profile of students' science literacy competence obtained by 6% very low, 44% low, 14% sufficient, 30% high, and 6% very high. As for the average value of each indicator of scientific literacy competence, the average score is 67.6 with a high category for indicators explaining scientific phenomena, an average score of 50.8 with a low category for indicators evaluating and designing scientific investigations, an average score of 45.88 with a low category for indicators interpreting data and evidence scientifically. So that the overall average ability of students' scientific literacy competencies is categorized as sufficient. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa hal yang berkaitan dengan proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan profil literasi sains siswa SMA untuk aspek kompetensi pada materi inti atom dan radioaktivitas. Indikator kompetensi yang dianalisis mengacu pada PISA 2018 yakni: a) Menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah, b) Mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan ilmiah, serta c) Menginterpretasikan data dan bukti secara ilmiah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei tahun 2023 pada Semester Genap Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023 di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Gresik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 kelas yakni XII IPA 4 dan XII IPA 5 sebanyak 72 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling yang diambil dari masing-masing kelas secara acak dengan jumlah 50 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes literasi sains hasil pengembangan dengan kategori valid dan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,492. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah profil kompetensi literasi sains siswa diperoleh sebesar 6% sangat rendah, 44% rendah, 14% cukup, 30% tinggi, serta 6% sangat tinggi. Sedangkan untuk nilai rata-rata tiap indikator kompetensi literasi sains diperoleh skor rata-rata 67,6 dengan kategori tinggi untuk indikator menjelaskan fenomena ilmiah, skor rata-rata 50,8 dengan kategori rendah untuk indikator mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan ilmiah, skor rata-rata 45,88 dengan kategori rendah untuk indikator menginterpretasikan data dan bukti secara ilmiah.
