Further results for the two-loop Lcc vertex in the Landau gauge
In the previous paper hep-th/0604112 we calculated the first of the five
planar two-loop diagrams for the Lcc vertex of the general non-Abelian
Yang-Mills theory, the vertex which allows us in principle to obtain all other
vertices via the Slavnov-Taylor identity. The integrand of this first diagram
has a simple Lorentz structure. In this letter we present the result for the
second diagram, whose integrand has a complicated Lorentz structure. The
calculation is performed in the D-dimensional Euclidean position space. We
initially perform one of the two integrations in the position space and then
reduce the Lorentz structure to D-dimensional scalar single integrals. Some of
the latter are then calculated by the uniqueness method, others by the
Gegenbauer polynomial technique. The result is independent of the ultraviolet
and the infrared scale. It is expressed in terms of the squares of spacetime
intervals between points of the effective fields in the position space -- it
includes simple powers of these intervals, as well as logarithms and
polylogarithms thereof, with some of the latter appearing within the Davydychev
integral J(1,1,1). Concerning the rest of diagrams, we present the result for
the contributions correponding to third, fourth and fifth diagrams without
giving the details of calculation. The full result for the Lcc correlator of
the effective action at the planar two-loop level is written explicitly for

An expression for the axial vector current in a strong, slowly varying
electromagnetic field is obtained. We apply this expression to the construction

Anomalous Scaling of Structure Functions and Dynamic Constraints on Turbulence Simulations
The connection between anomalous scaling of structure functions
(intermittency) and numerical methods for turbulence simulations is discussed.
It is argued that the computational work for direct numerical simulations (DNS)
of fully developed turbulence increases as , and not as
expected from Kolmogorov's theory, where is a large-scale Reynolds number.
Various relations for the moments of acceleration and velocity derivatives are
derived. An infinite set of exact constraints on dynamically consistent subgrid
models for Large Eddy Simulations (LES) is derived from the Navier-Stokes
equations, and some problems of principle associated with existing LES models

Static black holes with a negative cosmological constant: Deformed horizon and anti-de Sitter boundaries
Using perturbative techniques, we investigate the existence and properties of
a new static solution for the Einstein equation with a negative cosmological
constant, which we call the deformed black hole. We derive a solution for a
static and axisymmetric perturbation of the Schwarzschild-anti-de Sitter black
hole that is regular in the range from the horizon to spacelike infinity. The
key result is that this perturbation simultaneously deforms the two boundary
surfaces--i.e., both the horizon and spacelike two-surface at infinity. Then we
discuss the Abbott-Deser mass and the Ashtekar-Magnon one for the deformed
black hole, and according to the Ashtekar-Magnon definition, we construct the
thermodynamic first law of the deformed black hole. The first law has a
correction term which can be interpreted as the work term that is necessary for
the deformation of the boundary surfaces. Because the work term is negative,
the horizon area of the deformed black hole becomes larger than that of the
Schwarzschild-anti-de Sitter black hole, if compared under the same mass,
indicating that the quasistatic deformation of the Schwarzschild-anti-de Sitter
black hole may be compatible with the thermodynamic second law (i.e., the area

Scaling Behavior of Anomalous Hall Effect and Longitudinal Nonlinear Response in High-Tc Superconductors
Based on existing theoretical model and by considering our longitudinal
nonlinear response function, we derive a nonliear equation in which the mixed
state Hall resistivity can be expressed as an analytical function of magnetic
field, temperature and applied current. This equation enables one to compare
quantitatively the experimental data with theoretical model. We also find some
new scaling relations of the temperature and field dependency of Hall
resistivity. The comparison between our theoretical curves and experimental

How Our Personality Shapes Our Interactions with Virtual Characters - Implications for Research and Development
Abstract. There is a general lack of awareness for the influence of users´ personality traits on human-agent-interaction (HAI). Numerous studies do not even consider explanatory variables like age and gender although they are easily accessible. The present study focuses on explaining the occurrence of social effects in HAI. Apart from the original manipulation of the study we assessed the users ́personality traits. Results show that participants ´ personality traits influenced their subjective feeling after the interaction, as well as their evaluation of the virtual character and their actual behavior. From the various personality traits those traits which relate to persistent behavioral patterns in social contact (agreeableness, extraversion, approach avoidance, self-efficacy in monitoring others, shyness, public self-consciousness) were found to be predictive, whereas other personality traits and gender and age did not affect the evaluation. Results suggest that personality traits are better predictors for the evaluation outcome than the actual behavior of the agent as it has been manipulated in the experiment. Implications for research on and development of virtual agents are discussed
Rare SLC13A1 variants associate with intervertebral disc disorder highlighting role of sulfate in disc pathology
Publisher Copyright: © 2022, The Author(s).Back pain is a common and debilitating disorder with largely unknown underlying biology. Here we report a genome-wide association study of back pain using diagnoses assigned in clinical practice; dorsalgia (119,100 cases, 909,847 controls) and intervertebral disc disorder (IDD) (58,854 cases, 922,958 controls). We identify 41 variants at 33 loci. The most significant association (ORIDD = 0.92, P = 1.6 × 10−39; ORdorsalgia = 0.92, P = 7.2 × 10−15) is with a 3’UTR variant (rs1871452-T) in CHST3, encoding a sulfotransferase enzyme expressed in intervertebral discs. The largest effects on IDD are conferred by rare (MAF = 0.07 − 0.32%) loss-of-function (LoF) variants in SLC13A1, encoding a sodium-sulfate co-transporter (LoF burden OR = 1.44, P = 3.1 × 10−11); variants that also associate with reduced serum sulfate. Genes implicated by this study are involved in cartilage and bone biology, as well as neurological and inflammatory processes.Peer reviewe
Estratificação ambiental e otimização de rede de ensaios de genótipos de soja no Cerrado
O objetivo deste trabalho foi estabelecer uma estratificação ambiental consistente, para a recomendação e a avaliação de linhagens experimentais e cultivares de soja na região do Cerrado, a partir de análises da interação entre genótipos e ambientes (GxA) quanto à produtividade de grãos, além de avaliar a atual rede de ensaios de valor de cultivo e uso (VCU) para sua otimização. Os dados provieram de 559 ensaios de competição de linhagens de soja, realizados em 57 localidades, durante sete safras agrícolas (2002/2003 a 2008/2009). Realizaram-se análises conjuntas de variância, pelo modelo AMMI ("additive main effects and multiplicative interaction"), e de estratificação ambiental, pela abordagem correlata de "genótipos vencedores". A interação GxA foi sempre significativa, como resultado da resposta diferencial dos genótipos à variação ambiental. Os locais de teste se agruparam de modo diferente de acordo com os grupos de maturação. Observou-se redundância em 20% dos locais, o que indica a possibilidade de otimização da rede de ensaios, via eliminação ou substituição dessas localidades. A região-alvo deve receber estratificações distintas, congêneres a cada grupo de maturação, e pode ser dividida em 22 (ciclo precoce), 23 (ciclo médio) e 21 (ciclo tardio) estratos ambientais
