The neutron matter equation of state from low-momentum interactions

    Get PDF
We calculate the neutron matter equation of state at finite temperature based on low-momentum nucleon-nucleon and three-nucleon interactions. Our results are compared to the model-independent virial equation of state and to variational calculations. We provide a simple estimate for the theoretical error, important for extrapolations to astrophysical conditions.Comment: 3 pages, 2 figures, to appear in the proceedings of Quark Confinement and Hadron Spectrum VII (QCHS7), Ponta Delgada (Acores), Portugal, 2-7 September 200

DN interaction from the Juelich meson-exchange model

The DNDN interaction is studied in close analogy to the meson-exchange KˉN\bar KN potential of the Juelich group using SU(4) symmetry constraints. The model generates the Λc\Lambda_c(2595) resonance dynamically as a DNDN quasi-bound state. Results for DNDN scattering lengths and cross sections are presented and compared with predictions based on the Weinberg-Tomozawa term. Some features of the Λc\Lambda_c(2595) resonance are also discussed emphasizing the role of the near-by πΣc\pi\Sigma_c threshold.Comment: 3 pages, 3 figures, contribution to the proceedings of the 19th Particles and Nuclei International Conference (PANIC11), Cambridge, Massachusetts, July 24th-29th, 201

    Ωc\Omega_c excited states within a SU(6)lsf×{\rm SU(6)}_{\rm lsf}\timesHQSS model

We have reviewed the renormalization procedure used in the unitarized coupled-channel model of Phys. Rev. D85 114032 (2012), and its impact in the C=1C=1, S=−2S=-2, and I=0I=0 sector, where five Ωc(∗)\Omega_c^{(*)} states have been recently observed by the LHCb Collaboration. The meson-baryon interactions used in the model are consistent with both chiral and heavy-quark spin symmetries and lead to a successful description of the observed lowest-lying odd parity resonances Λc(2595)\Lambda_c(2595) and Λc(2625)\Lambda_c(2625), and Λb(5912)\Lambda_b(5912) and Λb(5920)\Lambda_b(5920) resonances. We show that some (probably at least three) of the states observed by LHCb will also have odd parity and spins J=1/2J=1/2 and J=3/2J=3/2, belonging two of them to the same SU(6)light−spin−flavor×{\rm SU(6)}_{\rm light-spin-flavor}\timesHQSS multiplets that the latter strangenessless heavy−Λ-\Lambda baryons.Comment: 11 pages, 3 figures, 6 tables, published in The European Physical Journal

In-medium properties of D-mesons at FAIR

We obtain the D-meson spectral density at finite temperature for the conditions of density and temperature expected at FAIR. We perform a self-consistent coupled-channel calculation taking, as a bare interaction, a separable potential model. The Λc\Lambda_c (2593) resonance is generated dynamically. We observe that the D-meson spectral density develops a sizeable width while the quasiparticle peak stays close to the free position. The consequences for the D-meson production at FAIR are discussed.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, to appear in the proceedings of 9th International Conference on Hypernuclear and Strange Particle Physics (HYP2006), Mainz (Germany), 10-14 October 200

Exotic dynamically generated baryons with C=−=-1

We follow a model based on the SU(8) symmetry for the interaction of mesons with baryons. The model treats on an equal footing the pseudo-scalars and the vector mesons, as required by heavy quark symmetry. The T-matrix calculated within an unitary scheme in coupled channels has poles which are interpreted as baryonic resonances.Comment: 5 pages. Charm at FAIR

Charmed mesons in hot and dense matter are studied within a self-consistent coupled-channel approach for the experimental conditions of density and temperature expected at the CBM experiment at FAIR/GSI. The DD meson spectral function broadens with increasing density with an extended tail towards lower energies due to Λc(2593)N−1\Lambda_c(2593) N^{-1} and Σc(2800)N−1\Sigma_c(2800) N^{-1} excitations. The in-medium Dˉ\bar D meson mass increases with density. We also discuss the consequences for the renormalized properties in nuclear matter of the charm scalar Ds0(2317)D_{s0}(2317) and D(2400), and the predicted hidden charm X(3700) resonances at FAIR energies.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, to appear in the proceedings of ExcitedQCD 09, Zakopane, Poland, 8-14 February 200
