Aspects of Superembeddings
Some aspects of the geometry of superembeddings and its application to
supersymmetric extended objects are discussed. In particular, the embeddings of
(3|16) and (6|16) dimensional superspaces into (11|32) dimensional superspace,
corresponding to supermembranes and superfivebranes in eleven dimensions, are
treated in some detail.Comment: 13 pages, Latex, Contribution to Supersymmetry and Quantum Field

A Twistor Formulation of the Non-Heterotic Superstring with Manifest Worldsheet Supersymmetry
We propose a new formulation of the type II superstring which is
manifestly invariant under both target-space supersymmetry and worldsheet
super reparametrizations. This gives rise to a set of twistor
(commuting spinor) variables, which provide a solution to the two Virasoro
constraints. The worldsheet supergravity fields are shown to play the r\^ole of
auxiliary fields.Comment: 21p., LaTe
Off-diagonal correlations of the Calogero-Sutherland model
We study correlation functions of the Calogero-Sutherland model in the whole
range of the interaction parameter. Using the replica method we obtain
analytical expressions for the long-distance asymptotics of the one-body
density matrix in addition to the previously derived asymptotics of the
pair-distribution function [D.M. Gangardt and A. Kamenev, Nucl. Phys. B, 610,
578 (2001)]. The leading analytic and non-analytic terms in the short-distance
expansion of the one-body density matrix are discussed. Exact numerical results
for these correlation functions are obtained using Monte Carlo techniques for
all distances. The momentum distribution and static structure factor are
calculated. The potential and kinetic energies are obtained using the
Hellmann-Feynman theorem. Perfect agreement is found between the analytical
expressions and numerical data. These results allow for the description of
physical regimes of the Calogero-Sutherland model. The zero temperature phase
diagram is found to be of a crossover type and includes quasi-condensation,
quasi-crystallization and quasi-supersolid regimes.Comment: 17 pages, 7 figure
The cosmological origin of Higgs particles
A proposal of the cosmological origin of Higgs particles is given. We show,
that the Higgs field could be created from the vacuum quantum conformal
fluctuation of Anti-de Sitter space-time, the spontaneous breaking of vacuum
symmetry, and the mass of Higgs particle are related to the cosmological
constant of our universe, especially the theoretical estimated mass m of
Higgs particles is m =.Comment: 7 pages,no figure
The extracellular matrix of the spleen as a potential organizer of immune cell compartments
Until recently little information was available on the molecular details of the extracellular matrix (ECM) of secondary lymphoid tissues. There is now growing evidence that these ECMs are unique structures, combining characteristics of basement membranes and interstitial or fibrillar matrices, resulting in scaffolds that are strong and highly flexible and, in certain secondary lymphoid compartments, also forming conduit networks for rapid fluid transport. This review will address the structural characteristics of the ECM of the murine spleen and its potential role as an organizer of immune cell compartments, with reference to the lymph node where relevant
Resonant spin-dependent electron coupling in a III-V/II-VI heterovalent double quantum well
We report on design, fabrication, and magnetooptical studies of a III-V/II-VI
hybrid structure containing a GaAs/AlGaAs/ZnSe/ZnCdMnSe double quantum well
(QW). The structure design allows one to tune the QW levels into the resonance,
thus facilitating penetration of the electron wave function from the diluted
magnetic semiconductor ZnCdMnSe QW into the nonmagnetic GaAs QW and vice versa.
Magneto-photoluminescence studies demonstrate level anticrossing and strong
intermixing resulting in a drastic renormalization of the electron effective g
factor, in perfect agreement with the energy level calculations.Comment: 4 pages, 5 Postscript figures, uses revtex
Massive relativistic particle model with spin from free two-twistor dynamics and its quantization
We consider a relativistic particle model in an enlarged relativistic phase
space M^{18} = (X_\mu, P_\mu, \eta_\alpha, \oeta_\dalpha, \sigma_\alpha,
\osigma_\dalpha, e, \phi), which is derived from the free two-twistor dynamics.
The spin sector variables (\eta_\alpha, \oeta_\dalpha, \sigma_\alpha,\
osigma_\dalpha) satisfy two second class constraints and account for the
relativistic spin structure, and the pair (e,\phi) describes the electric
charge sector. After introducing the Liouville one-form on M^{18}, derived by a
non-linear transformation of the canonical Liouville one-form on the
two-twistor space, we analyze the dynamics described by the first and second
class constraints. We use a composite orthogonal basis in four-momentum space
to obtain the scalars defining the invariant spin projections. The
first-quantized theory provides a consistent set of wave equations, determining
the mass, spin, invariant spin projection and electric charge of the
relativistic particle. The wavefunction provides a generating functional for
free, massive higher spin fields.Comment: FTUV-05-0919, IFIC-05-46, IFT UWr 0110/05. Plain latex file, no

Evidence for the classical integrability of the complete AdS(4) x CP(3) superstring
We construct a zero-curvature Lax connection in a sub-sector of the
superstring theory on AdS(4) x CP(3) which is not described by the
OSp(6|4)/U(3) x SO(1,3) supercoset sigma-model. In this sub-sector worldsheet
fermions associated to eight broken supersymmetries of the type IIA background
are physical fields. As such, the prescription for the construction of the Lax
connection based on the Z_4-automorphism of the isometry superalgebra OSp(6|4)
does not do the job. So, to construct the Lax connection we have used an
alternative method which nevertheless relies on the isometry of the target
superspace and kappa-symmetry of the Green-Schwarz superstring.Comment: 1+26 pages; v2: minor typos corrected, acknowledgements adde
