Work of art in the space of network culture: Creativity as bricolage

    Get PDF
The development of modern informational-communication technologies has led to the occurrence of the new unique sociocultural phenomenon – a network culture, with irony as the dominating rhetoric. In the space of network culture, under digital technologies, the forms, types, and functions of art, and creativity in general, change. The paper states that communication becomes the main function of art, while a work of art more and more becomes an object of communication. The authors propose to broaden the volume of creativity conception, going beyond the classical interpretation towards a broader understanding of this phenomenon, namely, creativity as bricolage. The methodological basis of the bricolage model of creativity, relevant for the new media art, is the concept of “bricolage” developed by Claude Lévi-Strauss. © 2020 The Author(s). Published by VGTU Press. The film distribution confirms this point of view. By the 2019 data, the film Matilda became the most unprofitable film supported by the Cinema Foundation of Russia: “Matilda’s losses became a sort of a record – 550 million rubles” (Zhitkova, 2018)

At the present stage of economic development one of the important trends of an enterprise competitive advantages development is the intangible resources along with conventional ones, which form the basis for an innovation growth and the development of an enterprise. 2. Methods: The methods of scientific research were the following ones: analysis, synthesis, indicating method, system approach, factor analysis method, economic and mathematical methods of data processing and analysis. The use of the abovementioned methods provided the logical nature of an article structure development and the possibility of an informed description of findings. 3. Results: The increase of investment volume in the i-th element of the innovative capacity by 1% will result in market value increase as it was determined that the market value increase after the investment increase by 1% in the institutional capacity of the considered enterprise PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" is projected at the level of 1.095% at ceteris paribus of a used econometric model. 4. Discussion: The subject of an innovative potential management and development at a company is an actual one and demanded. In this respect the issue of its effective management as large and medium industrial enterprises is an important one. 5. Final report: The practical significance of the innovation potential algorithm control for economic systems is explained by the possibility of a practical application by the enterprises of any industry sector and production scale

Quality formation of working life of the youth

    Get PDF
From the middle of the twentieth century the continuous growth of interest to a problem of quality of working life is observed. However, despite of active discussion and studying of a problem, there is no understanding, which factors influence the formation and development of quality of working life, both in separate organization and in separate categories of employees. The purpose of this study is to research a problem of formation and development of quality of working life of youth in the modern conditions and to determine the main tendencies which define the quality of working life of young generation. Authors study the status of youth employment on the example of Russia, as the basic element of quality of working life. Scientific novelty of research consists of formulation of the important theoretical and scientifically practical problem, how the conditions of quality of working life influence decision-making process of the youth in the sphere of employment. © IDOSI Publications, 2013

© 2016, Springer Science+Business Media New York.In this paper, we present the next step in our approach to neurobiologically plausible implementation of emotional reactions and behaviors for real-time autonomous robotic systems. The working metaphor we use is the “day” and the “night” phases of mammalian life. During the “day’ phase” a robotic system stores the inbound information and is controlled by a light-weight rule-based system in real time. In contrast to that, during the “night phase” information that has been stored is transferred to a supercomputing system to update the realistic neural network: emotional and behavioral strategies

Everolimus in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma previously treated with bevacizumab: a prospective multicenter study CRAD001LRU02T⃰

Everolimus is an orally administered inhibitor of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) recommended for patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) who progressed on previous vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy. Efficacy of everolimus in patients who progressed on anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody bevacizumab is unknown. We did a multicenter prospective trial of everolimus in patients with mRCC whose disease had progressed on bevacizumab ± interferon alpha (IFN). Patients with clear-cell mRCC which had progressed on bevacizumab ± IFN received everolimus 10 mg once daily. The primary end point was the proportion of patients remaining progression-free for 56 days, and a two-stage Simon design was used, with 80 % power and an alpha risk of 5 %. This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, number NCT02056587. From December 2011 to October 2013, a total of 37 patients (28 M, 9 F) were enrolled. Median age was 60.5 years (range 41-66), 11 % had Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status (ECOG PS) > 2, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) favorable/intermediate risk was 38/62 %. Five (14 %) patients had a confirmed partial response and 26 (70 %) patients had a stable disease. Median progression-free survival was 11.5 months (95 % CI, 8.8–14.2). Median overall survival was not reached. No grade 3 or 4 treatment-related toxicities were observed. The most common grade 2 adverse events were fatigue (19 %) and pneumonitis (8 %). Everolimus demonstrated a favorable toxicity profile and promising anti-tumor activity as a second-line therapy in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) patients previously treated with bevacizumab ± IFN

Nephropathy in young children, the factors of their early implementation (Review)

The article considers the risk factors for the development of kidney disease in young children. The embryonic period is one of the most complex stages in the development of the child. The influence of a number of factors on the embryo leads to the formation and manifestation of nephropathy in children in the first few years of life, which leads to a decrease in the quality of life of the child and his family. A significant role is assigned to intrauterine infections, heredity, the mother's somatic background during pregnancy, the environmentally unfavorable zone of residence and others. These issues remain unresolved and require clarification of methods to optimize preventive as well as early diagnosis and treatment of nephropathies.

Using clathrate pseudopolymorphism for a single sensor detection of target component in the headspace of liquid mixture

    Get PDF
A new sensing mechanism for mass-sensitive sensors is offered, which is based not on the preferential binding as usual, but on the specific shape of sensor kinetic response. The used mechanism includes formation of an intermediate clathrate and then of a saturated clathrate between a substrate (guest) and a receptor (host), which breaks the sensor response into two separate steps. The corresponding host-guest pseudopolymorphism allows the discrimination of a target substrate in complex mixtures using a single gravimetric sensor. This mechanism does not require for a substrate to have multiple functional groups for a complementary host-guest binding. Moreover, qualitative and quantitative molecular recognition of hydrocarbon in the mixtures with its close homologues can be achieved. Such ability was performed in the present work for a thiacalix[4]arene derivative coating of a quartz-microbalance sensor, which is able to recognize benzene in the headspace of its liquid mixtures with toluene, xylenes, ethylbenzene, water, nitriles, alcohols and other compounds. The pseudopolymorphism of host-guest clathrate and low-temperature polymorphism of the host was confirmed by the determination of vapor sorption isotherms, thermoanalysis and X-ray powder diffraction analysis of the host-guest saturation products. © 2010 Elsevier B.V.
