Metal-carbon nanocomposites on the basis of polyacrylonitrile and compounds of metals (Fe, Ni, Co) synthesized at IR-heating and studied by SEM, X-ray phase analysis, Raman scattering, IR Fourier spec-troscopy are characterized by the carbon nanostructured amorphous graphite matrix with uniformly dis-tributed nanoparticles of metals (10-30 nm), their oxides and compounds – FeNi3 and FeCo, multilayered carbon nanotubes (~ 7-22 nm), and in the composition of Fe-Co / C fullerene-like formations – C60. All nanocomposites feature high absorption of electromagnetic waves in the frequency range 20-40 GHz. Two absorption mechanisms are proposed: dielectric loss in the amorphous carbon matrix and scattering of electric and magnetic components by ferromagnetic inclusions. Absorption was – 8.68 dB for Fe-Ni / C, – 12.93 dB for Fe / C, and – 7.07 dB for Ni / C and for Fe-Co / C was found to be maximum in the whole range studied (more than – 40 dB) with a peak of – 52.83 dB at 24.27 GHz, which is explained probably by both high nanocomposite electric conductivity 2 S / m and high specific magnetization of phase FeCo. This work is aimed at the determination of the level of molecules of intercellular adhesion of sICAM-1 and sVCAM-1 in the persons exposed to mercury. All the examined persons (88 males of 31-62) were divided into three groups: the persons with the diagnosis of chronic mercury intoxication in the postponed postcontact period (1st group); the persons with the first revealed diagnosis (2nd group); the persons without professional disease working under harmful conditions for more than 5 years. Determination of the molecules was conducted using immune-enzymatic analysis method. The levels of sICAM-1 didn't differ in the 1st and 2nd groups and came to 466,2 and 430,2 ng/ml respectively, the level of sICAM-1 in the 3rd group was 219,1 ng/ml. The sVCAM-1 concentration was 337,8,126,8 and 327,4 ng/ml in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd group respectively. Increasing sVCAM-1 levels in the workers with long-term work period indicate the activation of endothelial vessel. Increased levels of sICAM-1 in patients with cardiovascular disease are related to the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease or chronic mercury intoxication

This research introduces the issue of necessity of innovational growth accelerator of enterprises in new conditions of global economic development – the issue of generation of innovational methods of effective cooperation of the market environment main participants. A direction of financial and economic tools of the global informational and communicative sphere at the realization of intensive activation of “realize-sell” cycle of enterprises, which leads them on a new level of functional development, under the conditions of unbalanced economic environment in the world is emphasized. A wide variety of social and analytical data is submitted, which proves the actuality and competitiveness of E-business; they are reasoned by the implementation of progressing differentiation of its current infrastructure and effective clearing of obstacles of financial and economic imbalance. Based on the emphasizing and correlation of peculiarities of two key objects under research, a possibility for new understanding of the Internet business as a growth area for enterprise development is presented and reasoned. It is concluded that, beyond any doubt, from the point of view of social and commercial practicability, at present subjective and objective relations come into foreground as a tandem of the state and business-structures. Thus, a growing level of actuality is peculiar for the issue of implementation of informational and technological clustering of the internet companies, as a new and in its way unique phenomenon in the economics. Objective: to clarify the primary incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to compare the prevalence of traditional risk factors (RFs) in groups of patients with and without carbohydrate metabolic disorders.Patients and methods. A retrospective analysis was carried out in 158 patients with RA (diagnosed at the age of 45 years and older; the disease duration was more than 12 months). The exclusion criteria were concomitant type 1 DM and type 2 DM that was diagnosed before or at the onset of RA. The patients' median age was 62 [57; 68] years. Most RA patients had moderate (41.8%) and high (39.9%) DAS28. New cases of type 2 DM and the presence of hyperglycemia were recorded at the time of the examination. The traditional RFs of type 2 DM were assessed using the Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC).Results and discussion. The incidence rates of type 2 DM was 9.3 per 1000 patient-years. The patients with developed type 2 DM versus those without DM had a larger number of RFs according to the the FINDRISC questionnaire (6 [5; 7] and 5 [4; 5]; p<0.01), had more frequently experienced myocardial infarction and undergone surgery for myocardial revascularization (27.3 and 2.7%; p<0.01), taken beta-adrenoblockers (72.7 and 33.3%; p<0.05) and calcium channel blockers (36.4 and 12.2%; p<0.05). Fasting hyperglycemia was detected in 10.1% of RA patients. The patients with hyperglycemia versus those with normal venous blood glucose levels more often had obesity (50.0 and 29.8%) and a history of hyperglycemic episodes (43.8 and 19.1%) and less frequently used glucocorticoids (18.8 and 47.3%; p<0.05 for all cases). Conclusion. The high incidence of type 2 DM in RA was associated with the presence of a set of traditional RFs and previous cardiovascular disease, while fasting hyperglycemia was with individual RFs for carbohydrate metabolic disorders.

    Get PDF
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease. Coronary vascular events caused by atherosclerosis are one of the leading causes of death in RA. The review gives the results of studies of the role of interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the development of autoimmune inflammation and cardiovascular diseases. The link between IL-6, inflammation, and blood lipid spectrum is considered. Attention is focused on the lipid-lowering and pleiotropic effects of statins. There is information of the effects of IL-6 receptor inhibitors (Tocilizumab – TCZ)) on blood lipid levels in RA. The implication of IL-6 in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis in RA and the effects of TCZ on the development and progression of atherosclerosis need future investigations
