Gendering the Internet: Perempuan Pada Ruang Gender Yang Berbeda

Media becomes the mirror of society and refl ects what happened within. Study of gender cannot be separated from technology, which by gender is both shaping and shaped by internet. In Indonesia, there are many websites that segmented based on gender (gender space), such as Vemale.com and Sooperboy.com. This research aims to seek the representation of women in these different gendered spaces. Using qualitative approach with qualitative content analysis as the methodology, the result shows that the websites already represent women in public space, even though it is still overshadowed by the domestic rules of women in private space

Analisis Sistem Manajemen Pergudangan Pada CV. Sulawesi Pratama Manado

Gudang menjadi suatu hal yang tidak bisa terlepas dalam dunia bisnis perdagangan barang, terutama pada barang-barang industri. Sistem manajemen gudang yang baik seringkali luput dari perhatian para pelaku bisnis baru. Manajemen gudang sangat penting untuk kelangsungan USAha, sebab gudang berkaitan langsung dengan penjualan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menganalisis sistem manajemen pergudangan yang diterapkan pada CV. Sulawesi Pratama Manado. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem manajemen pergudangan yang diterapkan menggunakan sistem Duta, yang merupakan salah satu produk dari PT. Duta Media Cipta di Jakarta dan menerapkan sistem FIFO (first in first out). Dilihat dari strategi lokasi USAha, gudang tersebut mempunyai peluang bisnis yang berpotensi besar, dikarenakan lokasi gudang yang strategis. Administrasi gudang yang ada memiliki standar operasional prosedur yang jelas dan relatif efektif. Namun dalam tata letak pergudangan, belum memiliki aliran pergudangan yang jelas

Finger Ridge Count Correlations Among Four Tribes of Andhra Pradesh, India

The present paper reports the distribution of finger ridge count correlations among four tribal populations from Andhra Pradesh, India viz., Dulia, Kotia, Manne Dora and Manzai Mali, and examines the intra and inter population variation. Higher correlations are recorded in left hands compared to right hands, but they are not significant. The homologous fingers exhibit a stronger correlation. In all the tribes, the correlations between right hand fingers are relatively higher among women when compared to men. Regarding inter population variation Dulia men differ significantly from the men of Manne Dora and the Manzai Mali tribes, and Kotia women also differ from the women of the Manne Dora significantly. The average correlation coefficient of the present populations is similar to other Indian populations reported earlier but lower than African and European populations

Peranan Feedback Dalam Mengoptimalkan Pelatihan Penugasan Review Pengendalian Intern: Eksperimen Dengan Kerangka Teori Kognitif

Based on cognitive theory, this study aims to compare between outcome feedback and explanatory feedback in the acquiring of internal control review task knowledge and performance. Both of feedbacks serve different review mechanism, so it will influence auditor's judgment process. This study uses experimental method, involving undergraduate accounting students as participants as a proxy for inexperienced auditors. The result implies that training should enhance the optimum knowledge acquisition because the appropriateness of training method will encourage optimum auditor's performance in internal control review.Keywords: internal control knowledge, internal control review task performance, outcome feedback, explanatory feedback, cognitive theory---Berdasarkan teori kognitif, penelitian ini membandingkan tingkat pemerolehan pengetahuan dan capaian kinerja penugasan review pengendalian intern antara metode outcome feedback dengan explanatory feedback. Kedua jenis feedback tersebut menyediakan mekanisme telaah yang berbeda sehingga keduanya akan memengaruhi proses judgment auditor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dan melibatkan mahasiswa jurusan akuntansi sebagai proksi auditor tidak berpengalaman.
