EFFECTS OF GLOBAL SEA LEVEL RISE ON THE ADRIATIC COASTS OF ALBANIA
Global climate change causes sea level rise, and especially is affecting low lyingcoastal areas of the world. In the next century, it is estimated that climate change will raise the sea level approximately 1 meter. Gradually increasing impact of this event will cause especially the lower coastlines to retreat back to the land.Meanwhile, many coastal settlements will be invaded by the waves and beaches will face erosion. Residential areas of the western coasts of the Albania, is usually on low coast areas. A probable sea level rise scenario will have serious impacts oncoasts of Adriatic Sea of Albania. This paper focuses on sea level rise and its impacts on the coastal areas and coastline of the western coasts of the Albania. For this purpose, satellite images for the years 1985 and 2011 the coastal lines were obtained using Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing Techniques and change is determined for a period of 27 years
Calculation of the infrared frequency and the damping constant (full width at half maximum) for metal organic frameworks
The rho(NH2) infrared (IR) frequencies and the corresponding full width at half maximum (FWHM) values for (CH3)(2)(NH2FeMII)-M-III(HCOO)(6) (DMFeM, M = Ni, Zn, Cu, Fe, and Mg) are analyzed at various temperatures by using the experimental data from the literature. For the analysis of the IR frequencies of the rho(NH2) mode which is associated with the structural phase transitions in those metal structures, the temperature dependence of the mode frequency is assumed as an order parameter and the IR frequencies are calculated by using the molecular field theory. Also, the temperature dependence of the IR frequencies and of the damping constant as calculated from the models of pseudospin (dynamic disorder of dimethylammonium (DMA(+)) cations)-phonon coupling (PS) and of the energy fluctuation (EF), is fitted to the observed data for the wavenumber and FWHM of the rho(NH2) IR mode of the niccolites studied here. We find that the observed behavior of the IR frequencies and the FWHM of this mode can be described adequately by the models studied for the crystalline structures of interest. This method of calculating the frequencies (IR and Raman) and FWHM of modes which are responsible for the phase transitions can also be applied to some other metal organic frameworks
Temperature Dependence of the Tilt Angle for the Smectic A-Smectic C* Transition in a Mixture of C7-70PDOB Ferroelectric Liquid Crystals near the Tricritical Point
The temperature dependence of the tilt angle theta is studied in the smectic C* phase near the smectic A-smectic C* tricritical point for a mixture of 70PD0B in the ferroelectric liquid crystal C7 (X = 16.92). The mean-field models with the biquadratic P-2 theta(2) (P is the spontaneous polarization) and P-2 theta(2) + P theta (bilinear) coupling terms in the free energy expansion are used to analyze the experimental data for the tilt angle in this binary mixture. From our analysis, the coefficients given in the free energy expansion of the mean-field models are determined. Our results show that the mean-field theory explains adequately the observed behaviour of the C7-70PD0B mixture near the AC* tricritical point
Investigating the effects of nanostructured dielectric lithium fluoride and plasmonic gold interlayers in organic photovoltaics, including the use of in-situ impedance spectroscopy
Organic solar cell performance can be limited by the problematic organic-inorganic interfaces between the active layer and the electrodes. One solution is the incorporation of nanostructured functional interlayers, which enable additional engineering control of these interfaces to improve photovoltaic performance. Herein we demonstrated that solutionprocessed dielectric LiF (sol-LiF) and plasmonic Au (sol-Au) nanostructuring on the indium tin oxide (ITO) anode can be used to improve bulk heterojunction (BHJ) organic photovoltaic (OPV) device performance. We show that the surface work function of ITO thin film anodes can be tuned via the areal density of sol-LiF nanoparticles and enables the optimization of energy level alignment between the organic layers and ITO. In addition, we show that the electric field component of incident light is strongly enhanced at the edges of sol-Au nanoparticles, due to the excitation of localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPR). When incorporated into BHJ OPV devices, these sol-Au nanoparticles improved the efficiency of BHJ absorption by acting like antennas, enhancing charge carrier generation. Each of these interlayer types contribute to increased photocurrent generation. In order to distinguish the root cause of improvement, impedance spectroscopy (IS) analysis was applied to the modified OPVs in-operando. In the case of sol-LiF, more favorable energy level alignment engenders better charge collection. In the case of sol-Au, the improved charge generation rate occurs without perturbing the carrier extraction. Thus instead of tracking the multivariate OPV device characteristics, IS enables more detailed analysis of the underlying operating mechanisms to elucidate the specific contributions of nanostructured interlayers
Digital Motor Control for Hybrid-Electric Aircrafts
Transforming aviation to improve aircraft shapes, propulsion and efficiency has led to studies for future electric aircrafts that consume only half as much fuel. This project involves thermodynamics modeling and electric power system modeling for turbo-electric generations systems and battery systems for hybrid electric aircrafts. The fundamentals of a digital motor control driver were studied through the use of a fractional horsepower development kit. The investigations were supplemented with automated motor controller software that identifies, tunes and controls the motor, and exploits similarities and differences between all motors. A file was modified that stores all the parameters, such as inductance and resistance, and performs tests to ensure that the motor is operating smoothly and does not heat during the process. Pulse width modulation, testing flux frequency and other varied parameters resulted in consistent measurements of resistance and inductance values, making this software a robust tool for studying any motors
Investigation of the relationship between functional movement screening scores and hamstring muscle strength in professional football players : Profesyonel futbolcularda fonksiyonel hareket taraması skorları ile hamstring kas kuvveti arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between hamstring (H) muscle strength (peak muscle strength, average muscle strength and bilateral muscle strength differences between both legs) and Functional Movement Screening (FMS) test scores of professional football players. 14 professional male football players (age: 21.50±2.47) voluntarily participated in the study. Functional movement patterns of football players FMS test with the t kit, H muscle strength was determined with the H Board device. Spearman correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between participants' H muscle strength and FMS test scores. While it was determined that the FMS total score of the football players was above the critical limit of 14 points in determining the injury risk, no relationship was found between the FMS total scores and the H muscle strength (p>0.05). As a result, there was a significant correlation between the FMS subtests (deep squatting, obstacle stepping, single line lunge and active straight leg lifting) and total scores of professional football players and the peak muscle strength, mean muscle strength and bilateral muscle strength differences between both legs of the H muscle group. No relationship was found. In the estimation of injuries according to FMS test scores, it may be recommended to evaluate the hip, knee and ankle flexor and extensor muscle groups in addition to the H muscle group and look at the relationship between them.

A METHOD FOR CONTEXT MODELLING IN CAPABILITY MANAGEMENT
Enterprises exist in the context of their dynamically changing environment, which has a strong impact on service design and delivery. Within areas such as ambient intelligence or robotics, most relevant context has a physical nature. However, the context of an enterprise requires a different conceptual-ization of context awareness. Beyond physical context, enterprises need to be aware of their market, legal and social context. Moreover, in order to monitor context and configure services systematically, we need a context modelling method that is integrated within enterprise modelling and supports in-formation and communication technology (ICT) engineering and runtime. The work in this paper has been performed as part of developing Capability Driven Development (CDD), a new paradigm for ICT design where services are customised on the basis of the essential business capabilities and deliv-ery is adjusted according to the current context. The contributions of the paper are (i) the investiga-tion of industrial needs for context modelling, (ii) eCoM, a context modelling method for enterprise ICT addressing such needs, iii) application of the method in an industrial use case and (iv) the evolu-tion of eCoM based on various evaluation cycles by means of Framework for Evaluation in Design Science Research (FEDS)
