Survey and analysis of nonfederal users of spacecraft aerial photographs sold by US Department of Agricultur

Miniature probes for use in gas turbine testing

    Get PDF
Several examples of miniature probes (null type as well as fixed position) are presented which have proved useful in aircraft and space power systems component testing and are applicable to automotive gas turbine testing. These probes are used to determine component or system performance from the measurement of gas temperature as well as total and static pressure, and flow direction. Detailed drawings of the sensors are presented along with experimental data covering the flow characteristics over the range of intended use

    Review of some vortex relations

The evaluation of the circulation from numerical solutions of the momentum and energy equations is discussed for incompressible and compressible flows. It is shown how artificial damping directly influences the time ratio of change of the circulation

Study of hot wire techniques in low density flows with high turbulence levels

    Get PDF
Prediction of heat, mass, species, and momentum fluxes in a space vehicle and aerodynamic noise production by supersonic jet and rocket exhausts requires a predictability of the associated turbulence fields. The hot wire is a technique that will allow an experimental determination of turbulent properties

A Small Cosmological Constant and Backreaction of Non-Finetuned Parameters

We include the backreaction on the warped geometry induced by non-finetuned parameters in a two domain-wall set-up to obtain an exponentially small Cosmological Constant Λ4\Lambda_4. The mechanism to suppress the Cosmological Constant involves one classical fine-tuning as compared to an infinity of finetunings at the quantum level in standard D=4 field theory.Comment: 13 pages, minor corrections and references adde
