Security of Continuous Variable Quantum Cryptography
We discuss a quantum key distribution scheme in which small phase and
amplitude modulations of CW light beams carry the key information. The presence
of EPR type correlations provides the quantum protection. We identify universal
constraints on the level of shared information between the intended receiver
(Bob) and any eavesdropper (Eve) and use this to make a general evaluation of
security. We identify teleportation as an optimum eavesdropping technique.Comment: 6 figure
Analytic treatment of controlled reversible inhomogeneous broadening quantum memories for light using two-level atoms
It has recently been discovered that the optical analog of a gradient echo, in an optically thick material, could
form the basis of an optical memory that is both completely efficient and noise-free. Here we present analytical
calculations showing that this is the case. There is close analogy between the operation of the memory and an
optical system with two beam splitters. We can use this analogy to calculate efficiencies as a function of optical
depth for a number of quantum memory schemes based on controlled inhomogeneous broadening. In particular,
we show that multiple switching leads to a net 100% retrieval efficiency for the optical gradient echo even
in the optically thin case
Perceptions of nursing students on effective clinical preceptors in Phnom Penh National Hospitals, Cambodia
Background:Nursing education has evolved substantially in the last few decades. Preceptorship is important to nursing education for several reasons. The purpose of this study is to describe the effective nursing clinical preceptors in Phnom Penh National Hospitals. Both preceptors and students have reported experiencing constrained relationships, tension and anxiety, which led to failure result or frustrating experiences in clinical teaching and learning. Methods: The stratified sampling of 166 was invited. A cross-sectional design survey was used. The Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient for all items was 0.945. Results:The findings were given as effective clinical preceptorship had a moderate (3.02, 0.85). The interpersonal relationship (3.51, 0.88), evaluation (3.39, 0.93), personal traits (2.80, 0.83), nursing competencies (3.39, 0.93), and teaching ability (2.70, 0.81). Conclusion: Interpersonal relationship, formative evaluation, giving suggestions and correcting mistakes without belittling was perceived to be important characteristic. It is necessary to integrate clinical teaching skills to clinical preceptors.
Applications of Quantum Electro-Optic Control and Squeezed Light
In this thesis, we report the observations of optical squeezing from second harmonic generation (SHG), optical parametric oscillation (OPO) and optical parametric amplification (OPA). Demonstrations and proposals of applications involving the squeezed light and electro-optic control loops are presented. ¶ ..

Sanksi Pidana Pelatihan Kerja bagi Anak dalam Undang-Undang Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak
This study aimed to analyze the legal ratio of Article 71 paragraph (1) letter c of Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Criminal Justice System for Children and the concept of criminal sanctions for job training for children in the future. The type of research was normative juridical research with a statute approach and a legal concept approach. Research data were collected and analyzed descriptively. The results of the study described that the ratio legis of the inclusion of job training criminals in Article 71 paragraph (1) letter c as a form of government action in providing protection and providing interests for children who could be subject to criminal job training as sanctions for children in conflict with the law. The concept of criminal sanctions for job training for children in the future was guiding, fostering, and directing children in conflict with the law, providing job training organized by institutions formed by the government or private institutions in collaboration with the government, providing entrepreneurship training so the children could be independent and useful for society
Peer Mediation Programs: Teaching Students Alternatives to Violence
With the ever-rising occurrence of violence\u27 within schools2 and the high level of both student apathy and dropout rates, many people are wondering what, if anything, can be done to stem the tidal wave that seems about to crash our nation\u27s schools upon the rocks of failure. Increasing security measures in schools, such as metal detectors,3 armed police guards, and locker searches, may prevent the violence,4 but will probably not alleviate the underlying causes.
