The article (a) presents the identification of the priest Georgios, owner of the manuscript Princeton, Garrett MS 14 (a. 955) and author of a poem to the Virgin (f. 295) with the priest Georgios Lolenos who wrote an invocation on Serd. Dujčev, Cod. D. gr. 221, f. 67v (10th century), and (b) identifies the last folio of the two missing bifolia in codex Laur. 9.21 (14th century), the only containing the Vita and the Akolouthia of SS David, Symeon and George of Mytilene, with f. 1 of codex Laur. 10.28 (16th century).

Manuel Holobolos' Letter of Consolation to Theodora Raoulaina

The article offers a critical edition of the hitherto unpublished letter of condolence of Manuel Holobolos to Theodora Raoulaina for the death of her second husband, Ioannes Raoul, transmitted in the ms Hierosolymitanus, Sancti Sepulchri (Panagiou Taphou) 276.

Scholarly Friendship in the Thirteenth Century: Patriarch Gregorios II Kyprios and Theodora Raoulaina

The twenty-nine letters of Gregorios II Kyprios to the protovestiarissa Theodora Raoulaina constitute one of the most numerous groups of his correspondence and provide a complete picture of friendship between intellectuals in the late Byzantine period. The article provides an edition of and commentary on all of them (for twenty-three of them this is the first edition)

A Byzantine Textbook of the Palaeologan Period. The Schedographic Collection of MS Laurentianus 56.17

The article focuses on a schedographic collection preserved in codex Laurentianus 56.17, dated to the first decade of the XIV century. The collection was probably produced inside the intellectual circle surrounding John Pediasimos Pothos in Thessalonike. The unique nature of this manuscript, which is the result of the collaboration of a teacher and his student, led us to the decision to publish in full the school exercises it contains (both the schedeand their epimerismoi), and to explore their sources, as an example of the school praxis in the Palaeologan period

A close reading of two letters, one by George of Cyprus and another by Constantine Akropolites, shows that the monastery of Christos Akataleptos was located in the vicinity of the monastery of Christ Pantocrator (Zeyrek Cami).REB 63, 2005, p. 233-235. The Testament of Patriarch John Bekkos

The article presents the testament of John Bekkos based on Codex Laur. 7.31 which, unlike the manuscript on which the Leo Allatius edition is based,  contains the full text of the document. The previously unpublished and unknown part of the testament introduces two persons close to the testator, Constantine Sinaites and his servant George, to whom the exiled patriarch bequeaths his books and personal effects enumerated in the testament. Laur. 7.31 also contains the date, previously unknown, on which the testament was drawn up (October 1294)
