    Bu çalışmada, Kocatepe Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü Anadolu ırkı mandalarının kan serurnu transferrin tipleri ve transferrin tipleri açısından genetik yapısı, sürünün 0-12 aylık yaş periyodunda büyüme performansı, Tf tipleri ile büyüme performansı arasındaki ilişki araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın materyalini O l .01.1996 - O l .02.1999 periyodunda sürüde doğan 70 manda buzağısı oluşturmuştur. Materyale ait canlı ağırlık, cidago yüksekliği, vücut uzunluğu, göğüs çevresi, göğüs derinliği, karın ve incik çevresi ortalamaları doğum, 3, 6. 9, 12 aylıkyaşlar için hesaplanmış ve tablolar halinde verilmiştir. 0-3, 3-6. 6-9 ve 9-12 aylıkyaş periyodları için günlük ortalama canlı ağırlık kazançları erkekler için 0.483, 0.305, 0.314, 0.504 kg, dişiler için 0.456. 0.294, 0.357 ve 0.360 kg olarak hesaplanmıştır. TfA,TfD,TfEveTfBTf^A, Tf^D, Tf^E ve Tf^B gen frekansları sırası ile 0.164, 0.793, 0.029 ve 0.014 olarak bulunmuştur. TfAD,TfDD,TfDE,TfABTf^{AD}, Tf^{DD}, Tf^{DE}, Tf^{AB} genotip frekansları sıra ile % 30. % 61, % 5.7 ve 96 2.8 olarak belirlenmiştir. Sürünün Hardy Weinberg teorisine göre dengede olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. TfDDTf^{DD} genotipli erkek ve dişilerin, hemen her çağda TPD genotipli olanlardan incelenen her özellik açısından daha üstün olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.In this study, Tf Types of blood serum and genetic structure for Tf Types and growth performance in 0-12 month-age period of Anatolian Buffalo Herd of Kocatepe Agricultural Research Institute and the relationships between Tf types and growth performance were researched. The material of the research was consisted by 70 buffalo calves born In 01.01.1996-01.02.1999 period in the herd. The averages of live weight, height at withers, body length, chest girth, chest depth, abdomen girth and shin girth were calculated and tabulated for birth, 3. 6, 9 and 12 month ages. The averages of daily live weight gains for 0-3, 3-6. 6-9 and 9-12 month age periods are 0.483, 0.305, 0.314, 0.504 kg for males: 0.456, 0.294. 0.357 and 0.360 kg for females respectively. TfA,TfD,TfEandTfBTf^A,Tf^D, Tf^E and Tf^B gene frequencies were found as 0.164, 0.793. 0.029 and 0.014 respectively. TfAD,TfDD,TfDE,TfABTf^{AD}, Tf^{DD}, Tf^{DE}, Tf^{AB} genotype frequencies were determined as 30 %, 61 %, 5.7 % and 2.8 % respectively. It is concluded that population is in balance according to Hardy Weinberg Theory. Male and female animals which have TfADTf^{AD} genetype are superior than the animals which have TfDDTf^{DD} genotype in point of view each characteristics investigated almost in every age

    Modifying of Cotton Fabric Surface with Nano-ZnO Multilayer Films by Layer-by-Layer Deposition Method

    ZnO nanoparticle-based multilayer nanocomposite films were fabricated on cationized woven cotton fabrics via layer-by-layer molecular self-assembly technique. For cationic surface charge, cotton fabrics were pretreated with 2,3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride (EP3MAC) by pad-batch method. XPS and SEM were used to examine the deposited nano-ZnO multilayer films on the cotton fabrics. The nano-ZnO films deposited on cotton fabrics exhibited excellent antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The results also showed that the coated fabrics with nano-ZnO multilayer films enhanced the protection of cotton fabrics from UV radiation. Physical tests (tensile strength of weft and warp yarns, air permeability and whiteness values) were performed on the fabrics before and after the treatment with ZnO nanoparticles to evaluate the effect of layer-by-layer (LbL) process on cotton fabrics properties
