Far-Field Tunable Nano-focusing Based on Metallic Slits Surrounded with Nonlinear-Variant Widths and Linear-Variant Depths of Circular Dielectric Grating
In this work, we design a new tunable nanofocusing lens by the linear-variant
depths and nonlinear-variant widths of circular grating for far field practical
applications. The constructively interference of cylindrical surface plasmon
launched by the subwavelength metallic structure can form a
subdiffraction-limited focus, and the focal length of the this structures can
be adjusted if the each groove depth and width of circular grating are arranged
in traced profile. According to the numerical calculation, the range of
focusing points shift is much more than other plasmonic lens, and the relative
phase of emitting light scattered by surface plasmon coupling circular grating
can be modulated by the nonlinear-variant width and linear-variant depth. The
simulation result indicates that the different relative phase of emitting light
lead to variant focal length. We firstly show a unique phenomenon for the
linear-variant depths and nonlinear-variant widths of circular grating that the
positive change and negative change of the depths and widths of grooves can
result in different of variation trend between relative phases and focal
lengths. These results paved the road for utilizing the plasmonic lens in
high-density optical storage, nanolithography, superresolution optical
microscopic imaging, optical trapping, and sensing.Comment: 14pages,9figure

2-(1H-Benzotriazol-1-yl)-1-(3-bromobenzoyl)ethyl benzoate
In the title compound, C22H16BrN3O3, the dihedral angles between the benzotriazole mean plane and the benzene rings of 4.84 (1) and 89.50 (1)°. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 84.77 (1)°. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked into chains by intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The crystal packing is further stabilized by C—H⋯π interactions
Asymmetric bounded neural control for an uncertain robot by state feedback and output feedback
In this paper, an adaptive neural bounded control scheme is proposed for an n-link rigid robotic manipulator with unknown dynamics. With the combination of the neural approximation and backstepping technique, an adaptive neural network control policy is developed to guarantee the tracking performance of the robot. Different from the existing results, the bounds of the designed controller are known a priori, and they are determined by controller gains, making them applicable within actuator limitations. Furthermore, the designed controller is also able to compensate the effect of unknown robotic dynamics. Via the Lyapunov stability theory, it can be proved that all the signals are uniformly ultimately bounded. Simulations are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme
Macrophyte identity shapes water column and sediment bacterial community
By assembling mesocosms and utilizing high-throughput sequencing, we aim to characterize the shifts of the bacterial community in freshwaters driven by two contrasting submerged macrophyte species, Ceratophyllum demersum L. and Vallisneria spiralis L. Although the microbe in both the water column and sediment were largely modulated by the macrophyte, the effect varied considerably depending on bacterial locations and macrophyte species. Actinobacteria was the most abundant taxa in the water column of all the three treatments, but its abundances were significantly higher in the two planted treatments. Moreover, Alphaproteobacteria showed high abundance only in the unplanted control. For bacterial taxa in the sediment, C. demersum significantly increased the relative abundance of Anaerolineae but reduced the relative abundance of Betaproteobacteria and Gammaproteobacteria, while V. spiralis increased the relative abundance of Deltaproteobacteria and Gammaproteobacteria. Additionally, in the C. demersum treatment, the water column bacterial community increased more dramatically in richness, alpha diversity, and the relative abundance of the dominant taxa than those in the V. spiralis treatment. Taken together, the findings from this study reveal that the two species of submerged macrophyte modified the bacterial community in waters, despite the obvious interspecific performance differences
