Theory of Quark-Gluon Plasma and Phase Transition
Nonperturbative picture of strong interacting quark-gluon plasma is given
based on the systematic Field Correlator Method. Equation of state, phase
transition in density-temperature plane is derived and compared to lattice data
as well as subsequent thermodynamical quantities of QGP.Comment: 6 pages,5 figures; talk given at "13th Lomonosov Conference on

Wave Functions and Energy Terms of the SCHR\"Odinger Equation with Two-Center Coulomb Plus Harmonic Oscillator Potential
Schr\"odinger equation for two center Coulomb plus harmonic oscillator
potential is solved by the method of ethalon equation at large intercenter
separations. Asymptotical expansions for energy term and wave function are
obtained in the analytical form.Comment: 4 pages, no figures, LaTeX, submitted to PR
Controlling Boron Diffusion during Rapid Thermal Annealing with CoImplantation by Amphoteric Impurity Atoms
A model for simulating the rapid thermal annealing of silicon structures implanted with boron and carbon is developed. The model provides a fair approximation of the process of boron diffusion in silicon, allowing for such effects as the electric field, the impact of the implanted carbon, and the clustering of boron. The migration process of interstitials is described according to their drift in the field of internal elastic stress
The investigation of the centrifugal compressor inlet and outlet device contour design impact on the losses
The paper analyzes a row of centrifugal compressor inlet and outlet devices contour design combined in groups by several constructive feature. Also it estimates the contour design impact on the losses.В работе проанализированы ряд вариантов исполнения обводов входного и выходного устройств центробежного компрессора, объединённых в группы по различным конструктивным признакам. Также оценивалось влияние формы обводов на величину потерь
The reaction cross section
The one- and two-step mechanisms of the reaction in
the range of incident proton kinetic energy 1.13-3.0 GeV have been
investigated. A remarkable peculiarity of the two-step mechanism which
incorporates subprocesses and is the so
called velocity matching providing the presence of all intermediate particles
nearly to the on-mass-shell. The differential cross section has been calculated
using a realistic model for the hypertritium wave function. The
maximum value of the cross section is estimated as 1nb/sr. The
contribution of the one-step mechanism with the elementary process into the cross section has been found to be two - three orders of
magnitude smaller in comparison with the two-step mechanism.Comment: 10 pages, Latex, 3 Postscript figure

The most reactive amide as a transition-state mimic for cis-trans interconversion.
1-Azatricyclo[3.3.1.1(3,7)]decan-2-one (3), the parent compound of a rare class of 90°-twisted amides, has finally been synthesized, using an unprecedented transformation. These compounds are of special interest as transition-state mimics for the enzyme-catalyzed cis-trans rotamer interconversion of amides involved in peptide and protein folding and function. The stabilization of the amide group in its high energy, perpendicular conformation common to both systems is shown for the rigid tricyclic system to depend, as predicted by calculation, on its methyl group substitution pattern, making 3 by some way the most reactive known "amide".Financial assistance from Enamine Ltd. A New Nanoporous Material Based on Amorphous Silicon Dioxide
Processes for making nanoporous SiO2 layers on Si via the irradiation of thermally oxidized silicon wafers with fast ions followed by chemical treatment in a solution or vapor of hydrofluoric acid are presented. It is shown that the density, shape, diameter, and length to diameter ratio of channels etched in silicon dioxide can be controlled by varying the regimes of fast ion irradiation or chemical treatment of SiO2/Si structures. Track parameters calculated using the thermal spike model are compared with the chemical etching data
Resonance-like coherent production of a pion pair in the reaction in the GeV region
The reaction was studied at 0.8-2.0 GeV proton
beam energies with the ANKE magnetic spectrometer at the COSY synchrotron
storage ring. The proton-deuteron pairs emerging with high momenta, 0.6-1.8
GeV/, were detected at small angles with respect to the proton beam.
Distribution over the reaction missing mass reveals a local enhancement
near the threshold of the pion pair production specific for the so-called ABC
effect. The enhancement has a structure of a narrow bump placed above a smooth
continuum. The invariant mass of the system in this enhancement
region exhibits a resonance-like peak at GeV/
with the width GeV/. A possible interpretation of
these features is discussed.Comment: 14 pages, 16 figures, submitted to Eur. Phys. J. A. v2: Added
