    PRUNING OF SECTION 377, INDIAN PENAL CODE, 1860 AND CHANGED DYNAMICS OF MORALITY IN INDIAN SOCIETY

    Purpose: The research paper has been written in order to analyze the impact of reading down the notorious section of Indian Penal Code, 1860 which being Section 377 which penalized every sexual act other than a heterosexual union even if consensual in the judgment given by the Supreme Court of India in Navjot Singh v. Union of India on the society of India. This paper aims to see its impact on the morality of the Indian community on the known definitions and working of the morality in the social and the legal system. Methodology: In this work classical method of research has been followed which being doctrinal research also, a comparative analysis between the legal text of Section 377 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 and the judgments announced by the Supreme court of India has been undertaken with the proportional qualitative analysis done with moral set up of Indian Society. Main Findings: The analysis conducted on law and social structure of Indian Society by the researchers point out to the fact that after reading down of Section 377, the social set-up of India is resenting the recognition granted to third sex and gender because it disturbs its moral thread which has knitted the social structure known as of now and introduces a third angle in known concepts of sex and sexuality which till now have been relying on parallel tracks of male and female sex/gender. Application: This research piece will aid students in understanding the concept of morality and will demonstrate its effect on the working of the Criminal system of a country. Moreover, it will also give support in understanding the role of biological sex and sexual preferences in shaping law as known today. Novelty/Originality: This research is novel in its attempt of wherein morality has been traced in the criminal legal system of the country which is most prominent in issues related to the sex of the human body and its sexuality

    Background: Stress urinary incontinence is when there is involuntary loss of urine due to increase intra-abdominal and intravesical pressure.Methods: This is a prospective clinical trial which was conducted at a Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for a period of 10 years from January 2005 to December 2015.The study group consisted of 518 cases with clinically demonstrable SUI with or without pelvic floor defects. Meshplasty was performed as a choice of surgery for SUI correction.Results: The study group was divided based on age(25-40,41-55,>55),parity(I,II-III,>IV), symptoms (SUI, Dysfunctional uterine bleeding, prolapse), type of anaesthesia (local, general/spinal anaesthesia), surgery performed (meshplasty alone, meshplasty with cystorectocele repair, meshplasty with vaginal hysterectomy (VH), meshplasty with VH with cystorectocele repair, meshplasty with VH with cystorectocele repair with sacrospinous fixation), complications (mesh rejection, urine retention).Conclusions: Meshplasty is a simple inexpensive procedure with short learning curve. This has a 94% success rate

The author tried to focus attention on the examination of the dispersion pattern of GSR particles deposited on cotton cloth target at different shooting distances (4inch, 8inch and 12inch). Ten different .315’’/8mm calibre of country made pistols were used and ammunition (KF,Khadki factory, Pune) were used for test firing. All test firing was performed at firing room of ballistic division of CFSL/CBI/New Delhi. The results showed that GSR particle produce on cotton cloth by .315’’/8mm Country made pistol using .315’’/8 ammunition generates high amount of larger GSR particle which were almost completely burnt particle.The nitrite residue was continued using modified griess test that revealed a mean particle size of 3.2µm with spherical shape. As the range increases from 4’” to 12”, GSR particles produces were small in amount. Whereas SEM microscope of GSR particle directly from .315”/8m calibre of CM pistol generated irregular cluster of group gains. Sodium rhodizonate test was also applied for detection and the presence of lead residue around the bullet hole
