Monitoring of Emission Spectra of Flame
Emission spectroscopy is the effective tool for deriving information about chemical and temperature structure of flame with broad range of potential application in combustion and fire supression diagnostics. This work summarizes the principles of emission spectroscopy including basic theoretical and practical aspects. The aim of the work is monitoring chemiluminescence of methane and ethylene flame in laboratory conditions. Two different experimental setups were employed for this purpose. In order to test the given setups, this task was focused on intensive transitions of diatomic molecules in visible spectral range, mainly to so-called Swan bands of dicarbon molecule. Measurement techniques and approaches to optimization of experimental setup as well as interpretation of vibrinic spectra by the means of simulation based on proper molecular parameters are described in details.Prezenční030 - Katedra požární ochranyvýborn
Emission Spectroscopy of Flame
Import 01/09/2009Emisní spektroskopie je jednou z vhodných metod k získání informací o chemické
ateplotní struktuře plamene. Tato práce shrnuje základní teoretické poznatky o emisní
spektroskopii a popisuje dílčí prvky sestavy pro emisní spektroskopická měření. Jsou zde
prezentovány výsledky experimentální úlohy měření emisního spektra pohárkového hořáku
s cílem detekovat spektra vyzařovaná radikály CH* a C2
*(Swanův pás). Vzhledem
Emission spectroscopy is one of the suitable methods for obtaining information about
chemical and thermal structure of flame. This work is an overview of theoretic knowledge
about emissive spectroscopy and describes sub-elements of arrangement for emission
spectroscopic measurements. There are presented results of experimental task – measurement
of emissive spectrum of cup burner with attempt to detect the emissive spectrums of CH*
a C2

(Swan band) radicals. In aspect to unsuccessful record of this spectrum, the phase
sensitive set up was designed. The unsuccessful measurement is discussed in this work too.Prezenční030 - Katedra požární ochrany a ochrany obyvatelstvavýborn
Do We Really Not Know What Toulmin’s Analytic Arguments Are?
The aim of this paper is to challenge the idea that Toulmin’s main focus in The Uses of Argument is to critique formal deductive logic. I first try to challenge the argument that, on the basis of what Toulmin says about analytic arguments, it is impossible to determine exactly what they are. I will then attempt to determine the basic contours of analytic arguments. Finally, I will conclude that the concept of an analytic argument involves epistemological assumptions to which formal logicians are in no way committed by the nature of their discipline.
