Formation of humanitarian competence of university students in the context of education globalization

The relevance of the paper is conditioned by the fact that the modern labor market, in a peremptory plan, puts forward for vocational educational system the non-standard tasks to train qualified specialists of high qualification focused on the world humanitarian values in solving any problems of a professional, personal, social nature capable of humanitarian measurement of their achievements. The purpose of the paper is to analyze, form and develop the humanitarian competence of university students as a factor that determines the spiritual core of the society and its integration. The authors consider comprehensively humanitarian competence as an integrative cultural-humanitarian personal formation, including cognitive, emotional-valuable, communicative and activity-related components. Authors identified principles, trends, and technologies as system characteristics of humanitarian training of students in the context of globalization of education; proved the effectiveness of their use in the process of forming the humanitarian competence of student youth. The paper is intended for educators and psychologists dealing with problems of researching the students' personal potential, including their humanitarian competence

JSC Russian Railways occupies a leading position on the Russian market of transport bonds. Since 2010, it has issued Eurobonds. International projects require a large amount of resources in foreign currency. The issuance of bonds is fraught with serious risks, which are particularly currency risk, risk of non-placement, interest risk, reputation risk. It is important for an investor to understand the scope of risks when making investments in Russian Railways bonds. The use of non-standard methods of financial mathematics allows to estimate the risk of issued bonds in terms of their redemption. In order to make the right decision regarding investment, investors are encouraged to focus on indicators such as duration and its relation to the full term of the bonds.На российском рынке транспортных облигаций ОАО «РЖД» занимает ведущее положение. С 2010 года холдинг выпускает еврооблигации. Международные проекты требуют большого количества ресурсов в иностранной валюте. Но в современной ситуации выпуск облигаций сопряжён с серьёзными рисками. Среди них прежде всего валютный, риск неразмещения, процентный, репутационный. Применение нестандартных методов финансовой математики позволяет оценить риск выпущенных облигаций с точки зрения их погашения. Haematopoietic chimerism expressivity in bovine heterosexual twins

The aim of the experiment was to study the haematopoietic chimerism in bovine heterosexual twins conceived through artificial insemination and post-embryo transfer. Both animal groups were revealed to have a wide individual range of variability for the expressivity of chimerism that varied from 0 to 96% of cells with the chromosomes of an opposite sex. The study also revealed the tendency towards increased frequency of cytogenetic anomalies in immigrant cells

О взаимодействии школы и вуза в рамках профильного инженерного образования

The article discusses the problems that arise when engineering classes are organized in secondary schools with participation of universities, and ways to solve them. To strengthen the connection between the school and the university, it is necessary to use both methodological and technological capabilities. The analysis of topics close to the standard programs of higher engineering education, which have appeared recently in the school curriculum in mathematics, is carried out. Methods have been proposed for wider engagement of intellectual capacity of university staff by involving them in creation of teaching methods in schools and especially in the in-depth study of mathematics in engineering classes. The experience of a special mathematical seminar organized by university departments of mathematics for school teachers of engineering classes is considered.В статье рассматриваются проблемы, возникающие при работе в инженерных классах, и пути их решения. Для укрепления связи школы и вуза необходимо использовать как методические, так и технологические возможности. Проведён анализ появившихся в последнее время в школьной программе по математике тем, близких к стандартным программам высшего инженерного образования. Предложены методы стимулирования педагогического и интеллектуального потенциала университетских работников путём привлечения их к созданию методики преподавания в школах, особенно в целях углубленного изучения математики в инженерных классах. Рассмотрен опыт специального математического семинара, организованного кафедрами математики для педагогов инженерных классов

Development of method approaches to the use of regression models for assessment of health effects of socio-economic risk factors in the system of socio-hygienic monitoring (experience of the Sverdlovsk region)

The analysis of socio-hygienic monitoring data showed statistically significant correlations between the mortality in working-age population and socio-economic indices (modern conveniences in homes, availability of medical aid, the portion of pensioners, and the level of unemployment) and also between their increases with account for the time lag. The highest (by module) coefficients of correlation between the increase in socio-econom ic risk factors and the change in the working-age mortality rate were found with the time lag of 1 year. For a more adequate decision making related to effects of socio-economic factors indicator rates in the sphere of securing sanitary and epidemiologic welfare of the population were identified.Проведенный анализ данных социально-гигиенического мониторинга показал наличие статистически значимых корреляционных связей между смертностью населения в трудоспособном возрасте и социально-экономическими показателями (степень благоустройства жилья, обеспеченность врачами, доля пенсионеров и уровень безработицы), а также между их приращениями с учетом временных сдвигов. Наибольшие (по модулю) коэффициенты корреляции между приращениями социально-экономических факторов риска и изменением показателя смертности в трудоспособном возрасте отмечены при временном сдвиге 1 год. Выявлены индикаторные показатели в сфере обеспечения санитарно-эпидемиологического благополучия населения для более адекватного принятия управленческих решений в связи с воздействием социально-экономических факторов

О ПОВЫШЕНИИ КАЧЕСТВА МАТЕМАТИЧЕСКИХ ЗНАНИЙ

Decline in the level of mathematical knowledge at school, along with a general deterioration of competences of prospective students entering technical higher education institutions exacerbate the quality of acquisition of knowledge in engineering disciplines. Lecturers of Mathematics and Physics departments of MIIT in cooperation with the schools of North-East Administrative District of Moscow created a program of additional study of mathematics, which is designed to reduce the gap between the current level of school training and requirements of higher education institutions to newcomers, beginning to study at universities. The article presents the first results of a promising cooperation.Снижение уровня математического образования в школе наряду с общим ухудшением подготовки абитуриентов, поступающих в технические вузы, усугубляют и качество усвоения знаний по инженерным дисциплинам. Преподаватели кафедр математики и физики МИИТ совместно со школами столичного Северо-Восточного административного округа создали программу дополнительного изучения математики, которая рассчитана на то, чтобы сократить разрыв между привычным ныне уровнем школьной подготовки и требованиями вуза к начинающему обучение студенту. В статье показаны первые результаты многообещающего сотрудничества

Vaccinia virus gene F3L encodes an intracellular protein that affects the innate immune response

The Vaccinia virus BTB/kelch protein F3 has been characterized and its effects on virus replication in vitro and virus virulence in vivo have been determined. The loss of the F3L gene had no effect on virus growth, plaque phenotype or cytopathic effect in cell culture under the conditions tested. However, the virulence of a virus lacking F3L in an intradermal model was reduced compared with controls, and this was demonstrated by a significantly smaller lesion and alterations to the innate immune response to infection. The predicted molecular mass of the F3 protein is 56 kDa; however, immunoblotting of infected cell lysates using an antibody directed against recombinant F3 revealed two proteins of estimated sizes 37 and 25 kDa

Methodical approaches to assessing influence of climate variability and air pollution on the health of population in industrially developed cities of the Sverdlovsk region

We conducted an environmental epidemiological study of influence of such risk factors as high temperature, forest fires, and atmospheric inversions related to an abnormally stable anticyclone established in the territory of the European part of the Russian Federation in May-August 2010 on the population mortality. The impact of climate variability in the cities of Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Tagil, and Verkhnyaya Pyshma was assessed.Проведено эколого-эпидемиологическое исследование влияния на смертность населения факторов риска (высокая температура, лесные пожары и инверсионные процессы в атмосферном воздухе), связанных с действием на территории Европейской части Российской Федерации аномально стабильного антициклона в период с его зарождения (май 2010 года) до распада (август 2010 года). Оценено влияние изменчивости климата в городах Екатеринбург, Нижний Тагил и Верхняя Пышма
