    International audienceModel-Driven Engineering (MDE) and the Semantic Web are valuable paradigms. This paper sketches how to use a scientific and technical result around MDE in the Semantic Web. The work proposes a mechanism to automatize the evaluation of model matching algorithms. The mechanism involves megamodeling and a Domain Specific Language named AML (AtlanMod Matching Language). AML allows to implement matching algorithms in a straightforward way. We present how to adapt the mechanism to the ontology context, for example, to the Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI)

    A high-gain Quantum free-electron laser: emergence & exponential gain

    We derive an effective Dicke model in momentum space to describe collective effects in the quantum regime of a free-electron laser (FEL). The resulting exponential gain from a single passage of electrons allows the operation of a Quantum FEL in the high-gain mode and avoids the experimental challenges of an X-ray FEL oscillator.     Are There Options to Prevent Early Occurring Deaths in Acute Myocardial Infarction: Prospective Evaluation of All < 24 h In-Hospital Deaths, 2004-2006-The MONICA/KORA Augsburg Infarction Registry

    Objectives: To provide valid clinical data of early in-hospital deaths with presumed acute myocardial infarction (AMI) who are often not included in clinical trials or registries. Methods: From August 2004 to August 2006 all patients (age 25-84 years) dying within 24 h after hospitalization in a large tertiary care academic teaching hospital were screened regarding an underlying cardiovascular cause of death. Results: After validation, 79 out of 1,352 patients remained with a final diagnosis of AMI. Sixty-six percent of these experienced prehospital cardiac arrest or shock. In 37% no resuscitation attempts were performed in-hospital, the most common reason being multimorbidity. Only 23% could be transferred to coronary angiography for revascularisation attempts. An independent panel of clinicians judged that only in one patient would another management strategy have been promising. Of interest, 33% of the deceased patients had typical or atypical chest pain the days before the lethal event. Conclusion: A large percentage of AMI patients who died soon after hospitalization were in critical circulatory state directly before hospitalization. In 37%, in-hospital resuscitation attempts were omitted for understandable reasons. Options for improvement in acute care in the investigated setting were not found.     High-gain quantum free-electron laser: long-time dynamics and requirements

    We solve the long-time dynamics of a high-gain free-electron laser in the quantum regime. In this regime each electron emits at most one photon on average, independently of the initial field. In contrast, the variance of the photon statistics shows a qualitatively different behavior for different initial states of the field. We find that the realization of a seeded Quantum FEL is more feasible than self-amplified spontaneous emission

    Long-term follow-up of cytogenetically normal CEBPA-mutated AML

    Background: The aim of this study was to analyze the long-term survival of AML patients with CEBPA mutations. Patients and methods: We investigated 88 AML patients with a median age of 61 years and (1) cytogenetically normal AML (CN-AML), (2) monoallelic (moCEBPA) or biallelic (biCEBPA) CEBPA mutation, and (3) intensive induction treatment. 60/88 patients have been described previously with a shorter follow-up. Results: Median follow-up time was 9.8 years (95% CI: 9.4-10.1 years) compared to 3.2 and 5.2 years in our former analyses. Patients with biCEBPA mutations survived significantly longer compared to those with moCEBPA (median overall survival (OS) 9.6 years vs. 1.7 years, p = 0.008). Patients &lt;= 60 years and biCEBPA mutations showed a favorable prognosis with a 10-year OS rate of 81%. Both, bi- and moCEBPA-mutated groups had a low early death (d60) rate of 7% and 9%, respectively. Complete remission (CR) rates for biCEBPA and moCEBPA mutated patients were 82% vs. 70% (p = 0.17). biCEBPA mutated patients showed a longer relapse free survival (RFS) (median RFS 9.4 years vs. 1.5 years, p = 0.021) and a lower cumulative incidence of relapse (CIR) compared to moCEBPA-mutated patients. These differences in OS and RFS were confirmed after adjustment for known clinical and molecular prognostic factors. Conclusions: In this long-term observation we confirmed the favorable prognostic outcome of patients with biCEBPA mutations compared to moCEBPA-mutated CN-AML. The high probability of OS (81%) in younger patients is helpful to guide intensity of postremission therapy

    Quantum and classical phase-space dynamics of a free-electron laser

    In a quantum mechanical description of the free-electron laser (FEL) the electrons jump on discrete momentum ladders, while they follow continuous trajectories according to the classical description. In order to observe the transition from quantum to classical dynamics, it is not sufficient that many momentum levels are involved. Only if additionally the initial momentum spread of the electron beam is larger than the quantum mechanical recoil, caused by the emission and absorption of photons, the quantum dynamics in phase space resembles the classical one. Beyond these criteria, quantum signatures of averaged quantities like the FEL gain might be washed out

    Current Mode Control of a Series LC Converter Supporting Constant Current, Constant Voltage (CCCV)

    This paper introduces a control algorithm for soft-switching series LC converters. The conventional voltage-to-voltage controller is split into a master and a slave controller. The master controller implements constant current, constant voltage (CCCV) control, required for demanding applications, for example, lithium battery charging or laboratory power supplies. It defines the set-current for the open-loop current slave controller, which generates the pulse width modulation (PWM) parameters. The power supply achieves fast large-signal responses, e.g., from 5 V to 24 V, where 95% of the target value is reached in less than 400 s. The design is evaluated extensively in simulation and on a prototype. A match between simulation and measurement is achieved
