Discovery potential for Higgs bosons beyond the SM
The discovery potential of the CMS detector for the MSSM neutral and charged
Higgs bosons at the LHC is presented based on studies with full detector

Summary of the CMS Discovery Potential for the MSSM SUSY Higgses
This work summarises the present understanding of the expected MSSM SUSY
Higgs reach for CMS. Many of the studies presented here result from detailed
detector simulations incorporating final CMS detector design and response. With
30 fb-1 the h -> gamma,gamma and h -> bb channels allow to cover most of the
MSSM parameter space. For the massive A,H,H+ MSSM Higgs states the channels A,H
-> tau,tau and H+ -> tau,nu turn out to be the most profitable ones in terms of
mass reach and parameter space coverage. Consequently CMS has made a big effort
to trigger efficiently on taus. Provided neutralinos and sleptons are not too
heavy, there is an interesting complementarity in the reaches for A,H ->
tau,tau and A,H -> chi,chi.Comment: 19 pages, 27 figure
Riesz potentials and nonlinear parabolic equations
The spatial gradient of solutions to nonlinear degenerate parabolic equations
can be pointwise estimated by the caloric Riesz potential of the right hand
side datum, exactly as in the case of the heat equation. Heat kernels type
estimates persist in the nonlinear cas
Cooper-pair resonances and subgap Coulomb blockade in a superconducting single-electron transistor
We have fabricated and measured superconducting single-electron transistors
with Al leads and Nb islands. At bias voltages below the gap of Nb we observe
clear signatures of resonant tunneling of Cooper pairs, and of Coulomb blockade
of the subgap currents due to linewidth broadening of the energy levels in the
superconducting density of states of Nb. The experimental results are in good
agreement with numerical simulations.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
Dominant next-to-leading order QCD corrections to Higgs plus three jet production in vector-boson fusion
We present the calculation of the dominant next to leading order QCD
corrections to Higgs boson production in association with three jets via vector
boson fusion in the form of a NLO parton-level Monte Carlo program. QCD
corrections to integrated cross sections are modest, while the shapes of some
kinematical distributions change appreciably at NLO. Scale uncertainties are
shown to be reduced at NLO for the total cross section and for distributions.
We consider a central jet veto at the LHC and analyze the veto probability for
typical vector boson fusion cuts. Scale uncertainties of the veto probability
are sufficiently small at NLO for precise Higgs coupling measurements at the

Heavy MSSM Higgs Bosons at CMS: "LHC wedge" and Higgs-Mass Precision
The search for MSSM Higgs bosons will be an important goal at the LHC. In
order to analyze the search reach of the CMS experiment for the heavy neutral
MSSM Higgs bosons, we combine the latest results for the CMS experimental
sensitivities based on full simulation studies with state-of-the-art
theoretical predictions of MSSM Higgs-boson properties. The experimental
analyses are done assuming an integrated luminosity of 30 or 60 fb^-1. The
results are interpreted as 5 \si discovery contours in MSSM M_A-tan_beta
benchmark scenarios. Special emphasis is put on the variation of the Higgs
mixing parameter mu. While the variation of mu can shift the prospective
discovery reach (and correspondingly the ``LHC wedge'' region) by about Delta
tan_beta= 10, the discovery reach is rather stable with respect to the impact
of other supersymmetric parameters. Within the discovery region we analyze the
accuracy with which the masses of the heavy neutral Higgs bosons can be
determined. An accuracy of 1-4% should be achievable, depending on M_A and

A transmission problem across a fractal self-similar interface
We consider a transmission problem in which the interior domain has
infinitely ramified structures. Transmission between the interior and exterior
domains occurs only at the fractal component of the interface between the
interior and exterior domains. We also consider the sequence of the
transmission problems in which the interior domain is obtained by stopping the
self-similar construction after a finite number of steps; the transmission
condition is then posed on a prefractal approximation of the fractal interface.
We prove the convergence in the sense of Mosco of the energy forms associated
with these problems to the energy form of the limit problem. In particular,
this implies the convergence of the solutions of the approximated problems to
the solution of the problem with fractal interface. The proof relies in
particular on an extension property. Emphasis is put on the geometry of the
ramified domain. The convergence result is obtained when the fractal interface
has no self-contact, and in a particular geometry with self-contacts, for which
an extension result is proved
Measurement of the H/A -> tau tau cross section and possible constraints on tan beta
The achievable precision of the cross section times branching ratio
measurement from the event rates is estimated for the MSSM H/A -> tau tau decay
in the associated production process gg -> b bbar H/A at large tan beta in CMS.
This work demonstrates that the above production and decay process exhibit a
large sensitivity to tan beta and thus add as a significant observable to a
global fit of the SUSY parameters. To illustrate this potential an example is
given concerning the achievable tan beta determination accuracy that could be
reached from the event rates and for a given set of SUSY parameters and
uncertainties
Co-development of the CMAP Book: a tool to enhance children's participation in pediatric rehabilitation
Purpose The purpose of the co-development project was to create a tool that enhances children's active participation and agency in rehabilitation and in everyday life. Materials and methods Action research was the methodological approach. Participants in the different phases of the process (2015-2017) were children with disabilities, parents and rehabilitation professionals. The co-development process included: (1) designing the tool's first version, (2) piloting the tool, (3) evaluating the tool by collecting feedback and reflection, (4) generating the tool's final version. Results Through the co-development process, an accommodating and digital tool called the CMAP Book-a description of the child's meaningful activities and participation-was developed. The CMAP Book is used with an electronic app enabling the identification and description of what is meaningful in daily life from the child's perspective with videos, photos, pictures, recording and writing. The tool enables the child, family and professionals to prepare and build collaboration in rehabilitation with flexibility according to child and family needs. Conclusions Use of the CMAP Book promotes the active involvement of the child and parents in designing the rehabilitation process in daily life in partnership with professionals. The stakeholder involvement in the co-development facilitated meaningful results and a concrete tool for rehabilitation.Peer reviewe
